I used to live near Exeter, whenever I wanted to get some peace & quiet by myself I used to drive to Hemsworthy Gate a short distance from Hay-tor on Dartmoor.

Lovely, my granny lived in a few parts of devon, she is buried in the church overlooking the mewstone at Wembury bay, at the foot of which was or could still be a cafe that was once a bread mill and my father when he was a little boy the tables where the milling tools.
I am from bridgwater Somerset, a tough place. My get away and my final destination is devon. So close but like my county one of the most beautiful parts of my world. I find nice vids like this just before I take time out there. Thanks. And i really mean it. In 5 weeks I will spend one week walking the coast of devon and its the most freedom I will experience in close to a year. THANKS.
2 amazing places I've been are village of Belstone (dartnoor national park) and Appledore in North Devon. If you want to see a really beautiful untouched fishing village Google Bucks Mills, Devon. It's a smaller version of Clovelly that isn't as commercial
Combe Martin wonderful had a Fantastic Sunday lunch at the 'Pack of Cards" wonderful atmosphere and went to the secret beach called Wild Pear Beach , mum & dad went to retire there now i understand why ,so much to do within the area, also visited Bigbury on sea, & "Burge Island " where Agatha Christie based one of her stories. Just wondered where's "Lynmouth" ?
@@thedevonianfootiefan9871 What's going on with Torquay? I thought they were better than 3rd from bottom! And used to go to a few games in my younger days.
Bigbury-on-sea. You are joking!! Sure nice coast but it's mainly a collection of 1960s bungalows which I wouldn't even describe as a village. I live in South Devon and there are loads of real villages that are much more picturesque.
Interesting selection. No Salcombe, odd. Combe Martin has a nice beach but nothing else to attract apart from a god awful pack of cards pub and allegedly the longest High Street, WOW! Bigbury on Sea is a lovely beach and Burgh island is great, Bigbury itself is just holiday homes and B&Bs all built from the 50s or modern. Beautiful, hardly. Hope Cove and Bantham are much better. One suspects the creator has never visited Devon or even the South West of England.
Torbay seems to be nice to outsiders visiting for a few days. Not nice if you live there. There's a reason for the huge police station that has stood there for many decades.
I thought Devon was a place full of castles, luxurious palaces and red-clad horsemen blowing horns accompanied by their fox-hunting hounds. But I see that I was wrong.
Think this should be a list of beaches and a poor one at that, there are far more beautiful villages in Devon than this, far to many to list in a 5 min video, Whoever put this together needs to get out and about and spend less time surfing the internet.
Money is an issues that everyone has for a better and luxurious life. life was hard for me until I started trading Bitcoin and now earning $8,435 per week
I think the Uploader must live near Barnstaple, as 7 of the top 10 are all within a 20-25min drive from there....😅
if one lives in north Devon most places are a 25 mile drive away.
AWESOME, BRINGS BACK MANY,MANY FOND MEMORIES OF BICYCLE TRIPS THERE....😊😊😊😊
Lived in Beer for 14 yrs a good place for my son to grow up in .
Appledore to me is the most pleasing historical to look at and of course clovelly
A bit coast-centric! Try Dartmoor and Exmoor villages!
Obviously never been to Devon, and definitely never visited Dartmoor…and yes I live in Devon!
Can't believe there's nothing in Dartmoor..... This list is stupid

I can think of a dozen or so more beautiful villages in Devon..

Not everywhere in Devon is on the coast.
There are some lovely places inland.....
Combe Martin has a lovely beach with lots of rock pools.
And jellyfish, when I was there! Never seen so many in my life! :-D
What about Lustleigh on Dartmoor??? Prettier than Croyde I think.
Beer is lovely,Branscombe too.
Beer is lovely I went there when I was working at the holiday camp in Seaton years ago
Aveton Gifford, Newton Ferrers & Noss Mayo spring to mind
It should be titles ten most beautiful COASTAL villages in Devon. There are so many beautiful inland villages in Devon. You could do a top 25 of them.
You missed out Sidmouth, a Regency town on the South Coast of Devon, nice beach but pebbly, and a town with lots of small shops to blouse through
South Devon have beautiful villages as well.
Bigbury bay i went to with my father and when i visited about 25years ago there was a games hall which inwas devastated about. Beautiful beach..
Some of these wouldn’t be in my top 20 let alone my top 10!

Going to Croyde bay parkdean in July, can't wait!! 👍
Woolacombe is stunning.
Should say NORTH devon.
I'm surprised Salcombe isn't on here..
Thank you!! I will be in Deon in September. I didn't know about all these villages! In which is Blackadon Farm, with the miniature donkeys?
Braunton, lived in this village . Also my two boys born there.
Salcombe, Dartmouth?
Both are towns.

go around the corner fro m number 3 Beer and you'll find Branscombe. That village should be on the list.
Lynmouth?
Why no mention of Cockington.? It's got to be in the top three.

Lynmouth and Lynton not mentioned neither...🤔
Whoever brought this top 10 best village's in Devon clearly hasn't visited Devon.....just my thoughts
Where's all the rural places? Darmoor villages?
Beer is iin Easr Devon not South Devon
some of these are not villages but towns
I wonder how it would feel to visit a place that has the same name as me
Devon is a county, but yes, you could visit the county.
Que bien hermoso lugar !!!!!
Try other areas of Devon. You may be surprised.
Hope Cove?
Beer is not in South Devon . It is in East Devon. Been there many times when I lived in Axminster.
english riviera or torbay beautiful place
Torbay seems to be nice to outsiders visiting for a few days. Not nice if you live there. There's a reason for the huge police station that has stood there for many decades.
I know we should of been on there😂 but maybe it is not because we are not a Village?
Lee Bay? Berrynarbor? Swimbridge?
I thought Devon was a place full of castles, luxurious palaces and red-clad horsemen blowing horns accompanied by their fox-hunting hounds.
But I see that I was wrong.
Can not agree with your choices, what about Lynton and Lynmouth , Salcombe ,Widecombe in the moor just to name a few
What about Lynmouth?
Instow should be on there
Hope Cove?????
Braunton, Appledore, really ?
I used to live in Braunton, pretty isn't a word I'd use to describe it lol
Very irritating music!
I live in Devon and can tell you this collection is way off the mark. Also the music is terrible.
Well if Appledore is one of the most beautiful .......... 😮
Would not be my top ten....
U left it a bit late for the south Devon clip ! WTF !!!!
Clovelly's number one eith.me. nowhere else like it on England.
Dawlish is without doubt, the most beautiful Town in Devon😊👍🇬🇧
Tarka the Otter country.
Newton Ferrers
Bias to north Devon.
Poor video.

BIGBURY
Couldn’t watch past the into due to the God awful soundtrack! Certainly not beautiful like the villages featured!
Exactly.
I muted immediately but still watched.
Braunton, Croyde are you having a laugh! They're neither pretty or interesting

Crypto is the new gold
I wanted to trade Crypto but got discouraged by the fluctuations in price
That won't bother you if you trade with a professional like Mr Fisher Morgan
I heard that his strategies are really good
I don't like these type of videos, they encourage more incomers here.
