- Huge thanks to Cooper Teesside MINI for lending us this car to review. Please check them out here: www.cooperteessidemini.co.uk/
Great group of people down there who are incredibly helpful and able to get you some great deals on new and used MINI's. The car featured in this video is currently for sale here: approvedusedminis.co.uk/vehic...
The MINI Clubman JCW is a real piece of kit for the person who needs an all rounder. It's got a great level of power and a drivetrain which makes it incredibly usable on even the UK's worst roads all year round. This car is definitely not one to overlook!

Did you drive the helmsley road to whitby?
Sorry for the late reply, this is the road between Barnard Castle and Stanhope.
No probs. thanks bro!
Great job! Love your review! I also saw your video on Petrol Ped. I own a 2020 JCW Clubman and am loving it! Just subscribed! 👍
Thanks a lot man! Yeah these are great cars, very much enjoyed my time with it 👍
Very enjoyable and informative review, many thanks 👍
Thanks a lot!
Great review. Came over after seeing the video about your Touring on Peddlerz Rides. Subscribed.
Thanks a lot Robert, really appreciate the support!
about the steering.. i have a 2020 JCW Countryman and prev had a 2013 R58 S and yea.. love the steering changes, lightness!!! also that ALL4 and new engine are so fun!!!! so far is a champ in the snow and slush!
Yeah I totally agree, the steering is much better now. And yep it's a great drivetrain setup, suits the car really well in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
very well presented , thanks
Thanks for watching!
Nice review mate, very professional style video👍👍
Thanks Mitch, appreciate it! 👍
Rear vents aren't fake, as the front ones. The only fake one is the one on the hood
0-60 is 4.6 secs 0-62 4.9 secs
Still hoping this engine may someday make it into the F56, not a fan of the stripped out GP3
Yeah if the GP3 was at a lower price point I think it could be a great package but its cutting a lot of the good bits out of the JCW and substituting it with more power. However until I actually drive one I won't be able to comment on how the package is as a whole. Thanks for watching!
Quite extraordinary but watching your excellent review and suddenly realise I now own that very car! NX69YXT!!
Ahaha thats awesome, thanks for watching! I remember this being a very nice spec so hope you enjoy it 👍
@@FootToPedal I’ve owned lots of cars including a V6S AWD F Type and the mini is much more fun! Great car!
Yeah I can imagine! Very usable power for British roads!
Did you find there was any noticeable performance increase (i.e. 30mph upwards) between your F56 JCW and this one? I also have an F56 JCW auto and was thinking about 'upgrading' to this. However, a friend that's driven both says there not really any performance gain once moving due to clubman being heavier and loss through 4WD (Kind of backed up by Zeperfs.com stats). Would ideally like the new engine in the hatchback but with back seats still! Lol
I'd honestly say there is very little performance difference between this and an F56 JCW. As you mention, once you factor in the additional powertrain losses with 4WD and the 200KG+ of extra weight that extra power and torque doesn't really matter. What I will say is that off the line this thing is just levels ahead anything front wheel drive, really lays that power down well. Although the engine is essentially the same unit it does feel surprisingly different to that used in the F56 JCW - has quite a different character and I found it to be much more predictable in terms of how the computer changes torque delivery based on throttle input, I much preferred this updated B48 unit. As you say though there are huge practicality gains with a Clubman! I'd highly recommend it as an all round package - thanks for watching!
I changed from an F56JCW and this clubman is a lot quicker. It’s a beast. Done 5000 miles in mine so far and it’s a really well sorted car. Acceleration is blistering. Try one yourself👍
Tried to work out where you filmed this - Teesdale or Eskdale ?
Ah good guesses! This was in the Teesdale area
Awesome review
Thanks man!
How many mpg ?
Driving it hard you'll probably get 20 to 25 MPG and on motorway runs more like 40 MPG (all UK MPG)
