So parliament is so funny that even a simple slip of the tongue is significant? Come on.
If you were called out everytime you made an error would you like it?...
DA is not talking about corruption but only attacking the EFF.
Because they are corrupt
When the ANC has a problem, you immediately conclude without proof, why shouldn't it be the same with EFF
Whether or not a conclusion is made a final judgement is the most important. You gonna steal just because you saw someone stealing then you try to justify your actions ? Grow up
There's no proof that implicating the EFF. DA needs to provide the proof.
I love the south African way of parliamentary questions time

Every Van Damme is an actor or actress- her accent awu, yoh and how did she become a Van Damme?😀
Her stepfather adopted her and she changed her name. This information was obtained as the result of a quick google search.
Big circus, SA going dowwwwwwwn.
True SA is already dropping economically day by day.The woes in their parliament are horrific. Its time for ANC n DA to park n leave tiz clear that EFF is taking over givem a chance n see if the former glory of SA will b restored.
Van Damne is not going to win this battle.. and copying EFF’s style of approach will not help the DA in any way.. she says when DA is ruling the country, like really,, dream on girlie dream on
she isn't copying them. she's always naturally had a fiesty personality.
No one rules a country. They represent a country. You are so brainwashed by these fools in parliament. They rule YOU
the tea lady is strong , i like de way she defend herself
Am black....and van damme if strong...DA on point no ignorance

They spend more time insulting each other than passing laws.
*Most of SA Parliament work is done in committee. The full plenary is mostly for show and protest in this election cycle to protest ANC parliamentary majority and ineffective rule.*
walker smith I see. Can you answer some questions for me?
1. Didn't Nelson Mandela start the ANC?
2. When did the ANC turn bad?
3. Is it true the ANC made a pact with Afrikaans to protect them once in power?
3a. If so, is this the source of the power struggle? As we know Malema will offer no protections.
4. Is it true that Winnie freed Nelson because Afrikaans feared her?
5. Do you know if there is a Winnie Mandela and EFF/Malema connection?
6. How can I find committee meeting vids where votes are taking place?
@@Traewing
1. The ANC started before Mandela was born. He was born in 1918. The ANC was established in 1912.
2. As the ANC is the oldest, extant political movement in the country, meant and recognized as a banner for a black country under a minority dictatorship, the question of it turning bad is complex.
As a historical abstraction the three letters ANC have too much "noble" history attached to it for the South African population to ever see it as bad in totality.
It has however developed (particularly under the Jacob Zuma administration of the last decade) a thoroughly corrupted political culture, allowing the "crony capitalist" elements (amoral opportunists who mostly joined the ANC in the 90's (when it had become "safe to join")) to effectively turn the state into a rent seeking mechanism at the expense of service delivery and economic growth.
The hope is that the new President the market-friendly tycoon Ramaphosa will turn things around by a) cleaning out the corrupt and wasteful elements after next years election and b) putting in place policies conducive to growth.
The more cynical say that irrespective of well- meaning individuals in the party the rot of corruption is so endemic that the only way to reform it is for the ANC to actually lose power (or at least lose its electoral majority)
3. This is true! What is important to note about South Africa is that its 1994 change from dictatorship was a negotiated settlement allowing the white minority to keep its position of vast economic privilege while handing over political power to the majority.
It was however recognized by both sides that as 20th century SA had been a ruthlessly exploitative and racially feudal system, the existing economic elite would have to make concessions. (including land which the black population had been stripped of and continually moved around on)
The slow pace of progress does not sit well with many in a country that has both sophisticated, affluent modernity (black and white) as well as seas of abject poverty (mostly black) and politics can then be played with the validity of the original negotiations as well.
Malema's brand of politics is essentially to channel resentment about the negotiations allowing the fruits of historic exploitation (i.e. the 'black-staffed' economy built on capital generated by the black population in the mines) not to be more equitably negotiated/ shared.
Land is highly symbolic of this, with many saying this is the only historic factor that actually needs *"radical"* resolving.
4. and 5. RE: Winnie and EFF
The fact is that by the mid 1980's the elites knew that time was running out on maintaining a system of ruthless population control and suppression that belonged in another century. It was clear that the only legitimate government in SA was a black government. The elites readily admitted that there was one question that overrode everything as far as the white population was concerned: After everything that had happened and the ruthless dehumanizing, feudal way the majority had been treated, how on earth would the black population not treat them the way the whites had treated the blacks?
From the position of the wealthy white oligarchs this was an economic question, the opposition to Apartheid was often interlinked with socialist and even outright communist elements. (since the 1960's some members of the ANC were also Marxists; the re-distributive elements of socialism were seen as a useful tool by African nationalists, killing two birds with one stone in getting the economy under black control as well as political governance)
Winnie was seen as outright revolutionary, but she was seen as a *possible* complement to Mandela i.e. a former enemy that could be negotiated with. (Mother and father to reconciled black and white alike, as Mandela alone would later become)
Due to events in the nineties Winnie's position was marginalized and she continued to be demonized by some while of course maintaining her great struggle history. But it is safe to say that from her peripheral position in post '94 politics she could afford to remain the image of revolution and has been relatively close with Malema and EFF in recent years. (remember in the end the EFF is a political child of a certain left wing of the ANC!)
6. RUclips has some I'm sure.
Hope my answers are helpful!
Lets not deviate from the Truth..!! The DA is seeking relevance..!! And YES the EFF is in control..!!
I love Satafrika hehehe!
The SBV report has nothing to do with the EFF so the DA must just relax and wait for law to take its course
this is better than going to the CIRCUS
VBS or NOT...we are the members of EFF & Asjiki
and we love the EFF
@@ajantsmith6139 moron ke mao

A child is a child even if you are a member of the parliament
thanks madam speaker by telling them that the is no report that link EFF in VBS scandal they are mad 'van dam' rule 84 call members as honorable tell her speaker
Perhaps these MP’s should call themselves something other than “honourable” it has to do with people and actions that are honest, fair, and worthy of respect. An honorable person is someone who believes in truth and doing the right thing - and tries to live up to those high principles. !!!
Absolutely disgraceful. Is this what has become of South Africa. Embarrassing.
How do people here actually like the EFF? I am not even talking about this, but the fact is first, that several EFF members have been indicted, that's simply a fact. But more to the point, they are a very extremist party. How can any individual actually support their stated goals and believe what they are saying?
