This performance was so above the final performance creatively, but the last performance just seemed right.
I think the message through the season was that after all his inner struggles and reaching his creative zenith, his work was all still self centered (penith) and by putting Gata's song up first he finally matured and reached a stage of true enlightenment

Jesus Christus sees everything
In the opening scene as he’s playing the piano you can see a rabbit in the foreground. Hitting the rabbit with his car in season 1 is really what kicked off his breakup with Ally and consequently killed his artistic drive as well. I love how it opens with that. The Ant Eater (his coping mechanism) kills that Dave, and he is reborn. Love this show so much

As a Christian this shows that though times are coming for all us that believe but at the same time a prophesy will be fufilled and Christ is coming soon. Let's not be discourage, God will fight this war and we just have to praise him for he already won. Easy to say than done but we just have to trust him and wait.
