DAVE | GaTa Confronts Dave - Season 2 Ep. 10 Highlight | FXX

Sometimes, I forget Gata isn't an actor like that. He comes off as if he's acted his whole life. He's a natural!
Watch the no jumper interview with him. He’s the exact same person
@@julio85019 that interview was dope. Gata is that dude
It’s his real life
Shout out to Emma for having Gata back
For real.
💯
No cap
There are shows that go 8-10 seasons without having one moment as real as this
Fax
It's crazy how the best scenes in season 1 and season two comes from a man whos never acted before there's so much talent gata has
GaTa should be nominated for an Emmy
Ngl, I was teary eyed along with GaTa at the end of this episode.
I did too bro. I'm so happy GaTa got his wish!
me too bro
Me three
bruh the realization that they're both named dave was crazy
wait whaaaaa
Right? And that they never made it a thing for two seasons until this episode was nice
The fact that Gata was his hypeman for all that time and never thought to ask for his real name.
Great little plot twist and tie into the ending of the episode / season where i assume they make a duo album or tour titled Dave
@@kianabennett6858 idk the scene plays like it's a known thing for the characters, just not the audience
Same with we good ending with the "we-" and then D A V E came up lmao. The man's in his baaaaag
This scene and episode made me realize this show has very strategically been about either/or or both of them. Mind blewn
3:40 is the real Dave name reveal… she says “Dave be quiet” and they both go “Sorry”.. genius
Gata should have won best supporting actor for this whole scene including the solo part of him dancing Gata is so key in this series
The part where GaTa crys a single tear, but the twist that it was a tear of happiness is revealed was absolutely brilliant.
GaTa is the best
If GaTa doesn't get nominated for a best supporting actor Emmy, I swear I will not be responsible for my actions...
"we good...so good" the hook from the song at the end. kudos
What makes this scene gold is that not everyone fully captured the scenes excellence.
... *What a scene, amazing back and forth acting.*
he was so good in this performance, ive never realized he did so many thing while talking lol like a lemonade or something
The plot twist of the show being about Gata & Lil Dicky is crazy
this fight before seeing the last scene 😤😤😤 had me crying
They were both right, they both gotta learn something from that
Gata is lethal I the argument. Makes quick solid rapid great points everytime.
We good. So good
That it hurts so bad!
more like dave confronts gata. gatas good.
More like Dave confronts Dave

Alright, I'm gonna give this show another shot.
You should! If you stopped watching after episode 3 I totally get it…I almost did too 😂. The show definitely redeemed itself in the last 3 episodes especially 🔥
@@boson7354 I did, lol. I am going to watch all of it. Good to know it gets even better, because it wasn't bad, I just didn't stick with it. And I love LD, so definitely worth another watch.
Ashley Williams yeah you’re going to see how much of a genius lil dicky is. the last episode is well written
The season finale is 🤌
Be careful with S2 Ep. 3, Chuck.
"Its my fckin money"
Love this show 💗.
This season was amazing ❤️
massively underrated show
the “i’m dave” -> “we’re dave” two-season arc was crazy
Are they the same person ? Do y'all thought about that ? Like a Fight Club thing ?
So, when did they plan and rehearse the new performance???
Gata gon get a Emmy
I love this scene so much for introducing me to Diana Ross.
Season 1 was so good
How do people watch this scene online without context of the show? That’s crazy
Learned alot.
I love my team ty LD
N ofc ty GAta
Epic
Holy bleep... they're both Dave. Wow.
Love that this is just not normal show writing, usually one person is right, one big stupid obvious epiphany..
This, theyre both wrong and right and neglectful.. Good stuff has you do some mental combat
OMG so good
Atlanta season 3 is soooo weak I come back to Dave.
shoulda been called "Dave confronts Dave"
Except it’s Dave VS Dave argument 😏
What's the name of the song he was vibing on at the start of this scene?
“It’s my house” by Diana Ross. Very good song.
This season really made you not like Dave. Gata is the best character of the show tho.
There are both in the wrong
Lol Emma Ono
This convo was crazy, but i felt like Gata was wrong on 90% of what he was mad about. I understand he was down bad but the fact that Dave gave him 8k and he used it to get a nice car is wild. Him not checking in with dicky before charging his fans was wild. Him going from constantly giving praise and support to LD (one of my favorite qualities about Gata) to disrespecting his music is wild. The ending scene was beautiful but the prior narrative made it seem less earned
Eh, I disagree. Dave ruins various money making opportunities and complains about writer’s block while one of his best friends struggles to put himself on the map and records in his closet because he loves rap music.
Yeah, it’s fucked up on GaTa’s part to sell tickets and screw over Dave’s fans, but it’s also equally messed up to cancel the bar mitzvah event because of Dave’s idiocy, or cancelling the album drop party because of Dave’s ego.
Often times, the people that suffer for Dave’s mental faults are the people around him. I mean, this is further cemented a few episodes earlier when GaTa asks him for money, something that could’ve instantly been rectified if Dave had actually made music and didn’t procrastinate.
@@owainraysor5108 great points! Didnt even think of it that way
@@owainraysor5108 great point! I was debating with my friend who felt Gata was in the wrong and I explained to him how Dave cancelled the bar mitzvah performance which I'm pretty sure gata would've gotten paid too. Yet, Gata still performed because he can't afford to lose fans as he is still trying to make it big. Great episode
@@nicholashackie1407 I think it’s mainly because people only see things from Dave’s POV, and so don’t really see the other side, and can’t really relate to it that well.
@@nicholashackie1407 I think Dave is also incredibly short sighted in this clip, and GaTa has a more of a point than one might think.
Dave questions why GaTa would need to buy a car to look cool for a music video when he could just follow Dave’s lead and do his own thing, when in actuality Dave hired him BECAUSE GaTa looked the part of being a “rapper” archetype. Looking successful is what enables GaTa to actually succeed, whereas being “different” would just lead to being broke and having 0 prospects.
The writing in this scene is incredible. The way the argument flows back and forth with each character gaining the high ground just to lose it the next second is phenomenal.
Couldn't have said it better myself. The writing, the acting, the way it was shot was so phenomenal.
Gata attacks Dave, Dave attacks gata, gata gets soft, Dave gets defensive, GATA FINALLY SAYS HOW HE FEELS, Dave and gata finally talk rationally about how they feel.
I couldn't tell it was acting. That was brilliant all around
I don’t think Gata ever lost it tho
Watched this episode today (7/13/23) and exhaled at the end of the argument. That was great acting.
i love the way this show addresses GaTa's mental health. it's not the defining feature of his character, it's just something that adds depth to him. this episode has all of the people closest to him treating him differently because he has bipolar, and this scene really captures the frustration he feels at people not seeing him as a whole person with legitimate motivations and reactions. this dude really does deserve an emmy, but the show also deserves some credit for not taking the easy route and just making GaTa act crazy for plot points
And it's very true... When I get mad or annoyed people would ask "did you take you meds" "Are you having a episode" .. no I'm just mad. So I felt for gata
Yes! Well said!
They did that with Ian from shameless .
“We good.” “Yeah, so good.” … lines from the VMA song. Crazy good writing!
Yes!!!!
GaTa took it to another planet with this scene. Loved how Emma was quick to shut down LD and back up GaTa too. Incredible scene all around 🔥
She felt that way too
Emma getting piped
"Every week is the most important week of your life." 👍
Broke my heart seein this scene after all gata has done for everyone
the best thing about this scene is they both using each other but too self absorbed to realize it so they both feel exploited by one another.
This season finale had no business been this good
it had every business being that good. Dave is a great writer. Gata is a great actor. What you expect?
THis feel slike the most realistic dialog I've heard in along time
GaTa again delivers such an amazing performance, hope he gets more roles in series and films.
Best thing about this dialogue is that it feels so evenly matched. I was gonna feel bad for whoever lost the argument regardless
"we good." "so good..." 4:23 I just caught this!!
How many times throughout this show has Dave said "You're really gonna do this on the biggest day of my life."
“Everyday the most important day of your life”-gata
@@YungHanamichi 1 of like 5 mic drop moments from Gata
This feels like a scene out of Uncut Gems 😂
So did episode one of this season with the laptop lmao
GaTa showed that he has some real acting chops with this scene.
4:00 is when Dicky realized he had Gata all wrong and the dedication was more real then he ever gave him credit for
Facts it didn’t help that emma shows up right on time having Gatas back making LD feel even worse.
Soon as he seen the closet with the mic in there he felt bad because he knew he was wrong Gata had had his back since day one
GaTa deserves an Emmy nod for real. I can't believe this is his first big acting gig. He's incredible.
I had no clue where this scene was going when i first watched it and OMG the acting and the timing and the facial cues was amazing . Bravo Gata !!!
They are both Dave lol.
that 3:40 mark is underrated where they BOTH respond to DAVE.
Gata never disappoints. He stole the show again in the latest ep. Dude’s like a raw nerve.
EVERY WEEK IS THE MOST IMPORTANT WEEK OF YOUR LIFE, MAN.
Bro I was so scared and sad when I saw this scene I thought there relationship was over and I was gonna be ruined I'm glad (spoilers)
It all worked out in the end
title should have been "Dave Confronts Dave"
This whole season was a literal roller coaster! Then that last concert blew my freaking mind!
Can we just speak about how gata is basically performing himself no way that’s easy
In an interview he said they still made him audition as himself to play himself too lmao. Crazy
That scene was intense. I was getting emotional and still didn't know who's side I was on and wasn't. Till that "be quite" moment. It showed that even with both arguing they still share a common ground. I am going to start to watch this show because of this scene.
Something about that scene when Dave was in that water tank hallucinating where Gata chops his arm off to please the dinner guest that just SHOWS and highlights how underappreciated he is.
Exactly. The whole season spent time to make Dave more entitled without making him an unlikable character all while giving GaTa more highlights to show how great of a person/friend he is.
@@leafjonin7 That's probably the reason i didn't like season 2. There wasn't anyone to balance Dave with his petulant, narcissistic, selfish, tendencies.
I felt like Gata was only character that got enough time to do him, to shine in whatever situation (Ig live after getting pranked, rapping in the bar mitzvah, or just smoking weed in Benny Blanco's spot).
Gata just enjoying the ride, while grinding his way to be the driver.
He is slim in shape!
I really respect this episode if you've been following the show.
Redemption in the end is a Mind blower.... it makes me cry every time I watch it. To have a friend or a brother or someone in your life that believes in you and put you on blast? It makes me cry
You can almost hear LD's ears pop when he sees the empty closet
Gata took his acting to another level right there.
I thought Gata was having a mental breakdown when he was dancing bro lol
Deserved every bit
The show is really really good
Dave confronts Dave
This scene broke my heart when it first came out. Only made the ending that much sweeter.
Such a good show
This argument is how you know they are genuine pals
how can you just jump into acting like that and give something HUGE like that. i mean, i saw so many movies and series in my life and this dialogue is one of the most real that you can find. emmy content (kinda too late tho)
Love how LD slowly realizes that he’s changed. And that gata hustling nonstop for his music not caring who listens but just trying nonstop. Use to be him, LD needed to see and hear this. He needed to be humbled and have a reality check from someone he use to be like. Seeing that tiny studio and the hard work and seeing that he wasn’t BSing about Emma and the video.
Dave really switches up when he sees GaTa been rappin out of a closet. Meanwhile, Dave is complaining about everything else around him.
This right her dropped my heart mane frfr😬😪
I've never seen this show and I definitely need to watch this.
Hard to believe acting is a 2nd job to these two.
Lol so they got that Atlanta energy now okay childish Gambino give some notes???
This show reminds me there’s zero perks to becoming famous if you’re a normal dude
Gata is a born actor
This show was unexpectedly top tier
Aw you cut out GaTa's sweet little dance at the beginning
God I love GATA.
In the end he realizes all the people he knows in his life have underneath his shadow and now he’s see that they’re are consequences
I dont know why they act like he sell those wrist ban to dave fans like they give it away free or he stole those wrist ban and sold it to fan without anyone knowing but all celebrities when perform sold wrist ban like money and its not even about celebrities the people who do that concert sold those some money is for the celebrity that they call or sometimes they already gave the money to the celebrity but then get those money back from selling those. So it make no sense how his friends do that.but am high and i make no sense but i love this show so much its so underrated like below underrated..
Anyone else notice the subtle foreshadowing when Dicky says "So good"?
