Everyone saying that "No the biggest game is actually Alabama" are missing the point. Alabama is of course the biggest game from a rivalry standpoint. From a season trajectory standpoint, Oklahoma is the biggest.
That’s the loser mindset that most our fans have. Only team they care about beating is Alabama and it doesn’t matter if you beat them when they go on and win a sec or national title. We have a loser culture at Auburn when it comes to our fans and most of them are the snobs. I can’t stand snobs and we got lots of them.
@@gamingdreams2142 Yeah it's very true. Auburn fans would throw away actual progress because it doesn't meet their high and mighty expectations. We want to brag about typically having the toughest schedule while simultaneously devaluing the individual opponents on it.
I don't disagree
However beating Bama in Tuscaloosa now that Saban is gone would really go a long way .
Then you have them at home and get 2 in a row and then they have another coaching change and completely unravels
@@Blazeb23would be great
Auburn beating Alabama and it won’t be close
Arkansas and Oklahoma are top 2 important games. If AU loses either or both, then Freeze better be prepared to make the QB change from PT and look to develop the young talent.
Good morning all War Eagle fans.
I 100% agree that Oklahoma is the biggest game this year. Bama and Georgia are always the most important, but I don't think that most Auburn fans think that we are going to beat them this year on the road. Let's face it. Auburn has pretty much been irrelevant since 2019. 2020 (6-5), 2021 (6-7), 2022(5-7), 2023(6-7). Our biggest win was against then #10 Ole Miss at home in 2021. We did break the long losing streak at LSU in 2021, but that is pretty much it. Since that Ole Miss win, we are 0-17 against Power 5 schools with winning records. After witnessing several debacles in big games in the 4th Quarter in recent years, I think many of us are thinking during tight games, what crazy thing is going to happen to cause us to lose this game. If you can get to 4-0, then Oklahoma comes to town for a nationally televised game. Win that game and Auburn starts to get some attention nationally again and probably cracks the Top 25. The fans can take a deep breath and realize that Auburn can win a big game against a quality program. If that happens then Georgia becomes the biggest game. If Georgia beats us by 3 touchdowns, beating Oklahoma will be viewed as a fluke by the media. If we play Georgia close and lose then the talk will be about how much Auburn has improved and are a program heading in the right direction to their place as one of the top tier programs in the SEC. Beat Georgia? That would be a whole different story.
Absolutely correct, especially when considering that stat about Auburn's record against Power 5 schools in recent years.
I had a coach in high school would say and instill in us that the most important game is ALWAYS your next game. You can’t go 12-0 you have to start at 1-0. Then you must win the next one. The most important game right now is Alabama A&M. I still love the show, and y’all’s opinions!
Zac, OK game has the potential of being like an LSU game from 2010 and 2013 that gives the team and fans the feeling we can win with this team . So for this season it may have the biggest impact of any game. It definitely has the potential of slingshotting this team more than any other game on the schedule.
Good show. My five biggest: Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, A&M, Missou. These best or most important conversations are interesting. I'll suggest one discussion: which Auburn surprises the most in 2024?
Darrell is tripping!! If we beat UGA, we will be HEAVILY favored against Missouri!
I actually agree with him. The media never gives us the benefit of the doubt and won’t until we start winning on a consistent basis
Love this show!
Great show as always
Love the show
LOLz at Darrell going Leeroy Jenkins during the intro! Great show.
Get em, Dap! Love the show!
Great show
IMO, the next game is always the biggest game no matter the opponent.
If anything you would hope that lesson was learned last year when they were looking past New Mexico State to the Iron Bowl and got straight up punked.
Georgia most important as WE'RE going in 5-0 coming out 6-0 will finish off the fuse on that 🚀
A lot of great debate and comments in here.
Dapp! You guys did great, stimulating the conversation.
@@autkthank you
@@darrelldapprich5060 always Dapp.
The Oklahoma game is #1 both because Oklahoma is a major program, and what that win does for the 2024 season. Auburn has a terrible record against the big programs in recent years. So this game is very important for the program even beyond its impact on this season.
Importance by Game Schedule Order:
1. Cal
2. Oklahoma
3. Mizzuo
4. Kentucky
5. Bama
I totally agree with you..
No Georgia? I want whatever you been smoking.
Not beating Georgia...just saying. If they did... You are in the playoffs
@@gamingdreams2142 you're always popping off about being "realistic" ..and "fans that don't know any better" .😂 News flash, we aren't beating UGA without a host of miracles, it's not happening, his list is dead on.
Miller, Fax
Can't imagine going anywhere but Game Time...I used for 1st.time yesterday. I.boigjt $5 tix for last night game at Braves. Awesome seats and easy to use.
6-6 incoming for 2024 Auburn, possibly 5-7
Lmao
That's included auburn kicking bamers ass.
Oklahoma is the biggest game. I agree Zach. We should be 4-0 going into that game. Oklahoma is a big deal and it would show Auburn has all the right things going for them now and into the future. Bama is not until the end of the season. Oklahoma is the trend setter early on. It's like the atm game in 2013. We beat them, and everything became possible. This Oklahoma game is that atm from 2013.
Agree. Ranking the games all season... it's obvious who the historical measuring sticks of the program are, it's UGA and Bama, no question about that, BUT, this season we find out who we are against Oklahoma...we absolutely should be 4-0 after the first 4, if we aren't we have major issues.
Why are we talking about Mizzou before the Oklahoma game?...Drop Oklahoma and it's significance is much less.
We beat Oklahoma and stand at 5-0, we have momentum for the real away stretch ahead.
@autk Completely agree. Dapp is right that bama is the biggest game overall, but for the future of the season and trendsetter, IS the Oklahoma game. No other way to put it.
If we beat Oklahoma, and are 5-0 going into the ga game. Watch out. Not saying we win, but that puts tremendous pressure on ga, not us.
@@rsk3286 Fax, nobody can argue that Bama isn't the single most important game EVERY season...
Dapp is absolutely correct there, no question about it for a multitude of reasons, those that don't believe that either are too young to know better or haven't enough knowledge about the program and it's history.
@@autk yep. I just want to push Auburn fans to think differently of the bama game eventually. Eventually, we need to look at that game as just another game on our way to the playoffs. Doesn't make the game less important, but beating bama every year can't be the ONLY thing anymore. Time to shoot for the stars!
@@rsk3286 we won't be making the playoffs tho if we aren't beating Bama and UGA regularly or at least splitting with them and our recruiting is in each other's back yards in one of the most talent rich areas in the country... making the playoffs is absolutely the goal but you can believe they will be on our schedule and in our way every year, they go hand in hand, they are linked.
OK,AL,TXAM,KEN,MIZZ
I agree with Darell
All games are important!!! We can’t afford to lose to anyone. Thankfully, we have PT, who will lead the SEC in RUSHING!!!! WDE!!!!! I hear good things about Cam’s run blocking ability.
My list is
1. Mizzo
2. Oklahoma
3. Alabama
4. Texas A&M
5. Arkansas / Kentucky
I agree with Darrell, Alabama will always be the biggest game of the season.
Biggest and most important are vastly different.
Biggest- AL, GA, Miz, Ok, Ta&m
Importance- Ok, Ta&m, KY, Miz, AL
I'm going with Zac list
Not even close, Alabama is the the biggest for so many more reasons. Rivalry, we recruit directly against Alabama and to dethrone the tide would mean so much for the state
Doesn’t matter if you beat them and still lose 5 or 6 games while they are winning a sec or national title. Fans like you are what’s wrong with Auburn. Lose the loser mentality.
Auburn 10-2 for sure top 5 games
1 Auburn @ Bama
2 Auburn @ Georgia
3 Auburn @ Missouri
4 Auburn Vs Oklahoma
5 Auburn Vs California
IB is always the biggest.
They are all big and they all count. Ga & Ala are the biggest when it comes to recruiting and if we can’t get the best recruits we will not win the big games!!
BAMA WILL ALWAYS BE THE MOST IMPORTANT GAME OF THE SEASON. #IRONBOWL #WAREAGLE
Uga bama Oklahoma Mizzou Texas a&m
Don’t tell Asante that Ott is elite 🤣
Sports talk J on a Vols sight says CHF blew it by not paying 1 million for a QB. I don’t think he blew it, I think PT will be fine. Has CHF ever had a bad passing attack 2 years in a row? I doubt it. He will get it right. WDE. I can’t wait!
WDE !
I was born and raised in Auburn. Been a hardcore athlete and fan my entire life. Settle in for another year of mediocrity. Payton Thorne isn't gonna do sht
Biggest games are only 2 Oklahoma & Kentucky bc those are the two games that get you a 9-3 with momentum going into Bama possibly 10-2
Oklahoma
Kentucky
Texas A&M
Bama
Arkansas ( things could go real wrong if we don't win this one. Have to get that first SEC win)
I'm an OU fan. I understand why you might think OU is your biggest game of the season because of trajectory but it's not, it is Alabama. The Alabama game is so important to Auburn it now has you actually believing that games prior to the Iron Bowl matter more because of the implicated set-up. Especially now that Saban is gone you need to beat Alabama.
Arkansas is #1 by far. We have to prove that those other games matter by winning that game first. Assuming that this team is so good that this is an auto win is why upsets happen.
the mizzou highschool seniors have to be enrolled in the state of mizzou to be qualified
I think the conversation hinges on how you define the word important if you look at it historically the most important game is Georgia the second most important game is Alabama if you don't beat Georgia you don't beat Alabama for this given year the most important game is Oklahoma because that sets the table for the rest of the season list anybody behind those games
Y'all never have beaten Oklahoma so settle down there tiger
Sounds to me like Darrel has that loser mentality whether he realizes it or not.. it just happens...I heard him, i heard what he said. But that mentality actually and at root say's Alabama is our Superbowl... regardless of the extra verbiage stating this that or the other thing as Darrel did.. it should always be your next opponent is the most important...mindset....Without any yeah but's
not fair mizzou padt a state law where they can pay highschool seniors who commit nil money
this nil needs to be regulated to be the same in all 50 states ..now individual states can pass there own laws to benefit there state.
biggest game would be cal. cause if we lose that one we could never recovery ...war eagle
Bingo. Spot on. We should have lost to them last year. It took a 3rd and 19 shoestring catch by Fairweather to escape against cal last year. Everyone is overlooking them like we didn’t just almost lose to them last season. Beating cal is no gimme. I think it’s ridiculous that everyone is saying we’re automatically going to be undefeated and 4-0 going into the Oklahoma game. We could be 4-0 or 2-2.
If we aren't 4-0 we have major issues, Cal was crap last year 6-7 in the Slack 12, and will be again,
It's in JHS, we will beat the brakes off of them.
Lol, "we're getting beat by Cal and the whole season implodes" that's a fireable offense...not happening.
@@autkso losing to New Mexico at Jordan hate 31-7 isn’t a fireable offense but losing to a power 5 team in a close game is a fireable offense? We almost lost to them last year
@@jakepadgett5569 first year Padgett, distinguishable from this season, that crap can't ever happen again...We absolutely should be 4-0, if we aren't we have major issues, Cal in JHS shouldn't even break a sweat, Arky sux and is in shambles the other 2 are straight trash cupcakes.
@@autkI love your confidence in this years team. I don’t see where we improved that much. The receivers are better but the secondary is not better . Were the same at quarterback and running back and o line. I’ll be ecstatic if we start 4-0 but I could easily see us 2-2 or 3-1.
Always Bama and UGa. That aside, we still seem to be pretending we have an SEC QB on our roster? Who is Vandy’s QB? Hint-transfer qb who torched us in our own stadium last year. Why didn’t we go after him?
Texas A&M is a trap game. AU will be 10-0, ATM 5-5 and Auburn might be looking ahead to the iron bowl.
You all must have created a new definition of 'toss up'.
Why do these guys think alabama won't be a win, they also have a new coach with new systems what makes them think they won't have first season woes...idc who they have returning,a new system means most likely mistakes and we can capitalize off that...sometimes Zach's opinions are definitely not pro auburn even being realistic you still think we will only have 7 to 8 wins...im excited about this team not just bc of Cam Coleman we have great players on both sides and great coaches leading them...how can you as a true auburn fan not think we will get 10+ wins with this roster smh
Because we just lost 7 games. We lost our best offensive lineman, we lost our best defensive lineman, we lost our best receiver, we got curb stomped beat down at home to New Mexico and also got embarrassed and stomped out by Maryland. That’s why I don’t think we win 10+ games. Hell we could have easily lost to cal also. We had a solid recruiting class but they are still freshman.
@@jakepadgett5569 yes but today's freshman aren't like freshman even 5 years ago they're going to camps from little League through high school then most have personal trainers they come in ready to play not to mention we didn't lose our I line completely and the replacements are as good or better so im not seeing your point...last year was a totally different coached team as well
Bama is the biggest game every single year. I think talking heads hate hearing that because they want us to be "above" that kind of thinking. But that's the truth for like 95% of the fan base and donors. Beat Bama and it'll be ok.
Hank Brown is bye far my quarterback,,,!!!!$$$$$$$
Ya Thorne ass …40 passing yards against a n m over throwing receivers on butt naked wheel routes
He has potential but he’s not ready yet.
@@gamingdreams2142Thorne isn’t ready, and he’s a 5th year senior. At least Hank has the potential to be good.
@@jvilletiger when he proves all of you RUclips coaches wrong I’ll be here to say I told you so.
@@gamingdreams2142 I’m sure you’ll be here when he proves he’s not good too, right?
I hope I am wrong, and PT throws for 3,500 yards next season and wins 10+ games. I don’t see it happening though.
BEAT BAMA
End of Story.
