*UPDATE: Replace the slab in the killing chamber at **14:14** with an upper trapdoor:) 1.16 caused exp to float, and using a slab there causes the exp to get stuck in the kill chamber! Could also try a lower trapdoor if an upper one doesn't work for you!* *UPDATE2: Replace the glass in front of the trident killer pistons, with chests. That should prevent tridents from falling down:) **13:49* Thank you so much for watching! :D I hope you enjoy this new farm in your world! Been wanting to release this for a long time, but it just wasn't on my priority list haha. Lemme know any questions comments or concerns you have here in the comments! :D
I built your previous one, I only use the nether side of the farm, the only changes i see here is the extra redstone in the overworld But what makes it faster?
Frequently Asked Questions ************(FAQ)************* Q: Why aren’t guardians spawning? A: Kill all guardians inside the temple and make sure there no holes inside of your kill chambers. Extra mobs that aren’t in your farm take up your mob cap and slow your rates. If you are having trouble go to the AFK platform turn it on peaceful and then to hard so the maximum can spawn. (Drowned do not affect this) Q: Do you need impaling V? A: impaling IV does the exact same and is a better alternative, otherwise they can be default tridents. Q: Why are so many fish spawning? A: To stop them put solid blocks like cobblestone above water streams. Q: Can I use regular ice? A: No because there a perfect light level is needed for the ice to be effective. Q: Why are phantoms spawning and killing me? A: Put a solid block above your head and you should be fine. Q: Should I make a over-world and nether version? A: Not really, the overworked version gives more XP and better rates. Tips of advice 1. Light up your platform that the kill chambers are on. This will prevent other mobs from spawning 2. Build the over-world only version. 3 Use Impaling IV tridents as they both take two hits to kill guardians. 4. Read the FAQs above for other helps. Like this so others can see, also if you have any questions comment and I’ll try to help you.
I added riptide and loyalty enchantments to some of my impaling tridents. It looks like I can’t use them in this farm. Is that correct or is there a way I can place them in the cell somehow?
I would also add that you need to add a water source in the cell at the spawn point above the packed ice for guardians to spawn as this is not clear in the tutorial.
@@KingJimmy101 the way the trident killers work is that they push tridents that have been thrown somewhere - because the loyalty enchantment will return ur tridents back to u, they can't be used in trident killers. just use some rly low durabiltiy tridents w/o loyalty b/c the trident killers don't use durability

For everyone making this in 1.16 Items and xp-orbs will get stuck in the water streams because of the pressure plates. And that may lag out your world. I did some testing and you can use signs instead of pressure plates and the farm will work fine.
for anyone only wanting to build the cells for the over world(no nether portal), here is the material list for that: 200 solid blocks 350 glass 25 slabs 50 pistons 25 levers 50 repeaters 50 redstone 25 redstone torches 75 packed ice (this is only for the cells, not for the entire farm)
Silent you probably won't see this but I just wanted to say that you are a saving grace for the bedrock community. The farms that you design have the best rates and are the most efficient. Whenever I need to build a farm your tutorials are the first thing that I look for and they never fail to work. The bedrock community thanks you for everything you've done for us.
@@silentwisperer hey. I've been commenting and couldn't tag you. I found the reason behind, as well as a fix, for the tridents falling through on 1.16. If at all possible hit me up. I also have a world first wither farm on bedrock 1.16 that's super simple and has minimal obsidian loss, plus no Redstone. I'm on Xbox one, gt is Z3R0J.
@@minh-khanguyen7209 sort replies by newest first and look back 1 week. I replied with a preliminary fix then a permanent one after additional testing. Basically extend your northern wall by 1 block, replace the Redstone under the piston with a solid block and put a solid block behind the other piston, and run 3 pieces of Redstone to complete that circuit and both will fire normally. Then, the sticky piston above the trident that falls needs to be powered off, and replaced with a solid block. If you still want the nether side option, the ice block under that sticky piston needs to be pushed up, but I don't have a good solution as to how to power it. In testing I used 3 sticky pistons with Redstone block just to test. In my realm I have tested this thoroughly and the farm is fixed, but the nether side is disabled currently. In my other reply I go into more depth so if you're at all confused please read my other replies from a week ago.
BlueMoonSurface well i converted my zombie farm to a drowned farm, so it gets me a lot of tridents. might try making them all impaling, even if they arent 5
@@necromancer18v50 I watched Dr. Jan Cyan's guardian farm on Xploit. I see he used the method of only having spawning spaces on each side (Instead of using all 25). Its possibly better, though guardians spawn so frequently It really doesn't make a difference for me. Also. Sending them to the nether will increase the spawns regardless. (Plus I built silents already and its amazing)
I think I found a solution to the tridents falling through. I believe its caused by the Redstone dust under the piston instead of a solid block there. If you look at the pistons extended, the trident handle on one side is over air and Redstone dust, whereas the other side the handle is over a solid block. Quick fix; replace the dust under the piston with a solid block, put a solid block behind the other piston, and run the dust from the side of the one piston across the floor and up onto the new block behind the other piston. Both will still fire at the same time after power is toggled, and the trident will have a solid block under it and stop falling into the ground. To do this fix you will need to extend out your northern wall by 1 block to make room. I'm doing this on my realm server right now.
Just ran this for an hour non stop. Not a single single trident fell through. I would lose 25 in 15 minutes before and it would grind to a halt. Now its working perfect with the small change I made.
@@jamesa6911 @silentwisperer just made James A's suggested modification to this farm. We've run ours for over an hour nonstop without losing a single trident or a drop in rates. Looks like a good fix. between this, exchanging the plates for buttons and the fact that fish don't spawn in running water anymore (thank god no more cod in the streams) It's running faster than ever.
@@practically-nathancurtis @silentwhisper ... I found some more info on this. If you apply my fix, then run the farm its fine. Once you save and quit, then load back in, the trident positions change. The head is now buried further into the block in front of it. So now when power is toggled, the trident will get buried again, but not the back of the handle (which is stopped by that new solid block). Now, it will kind of re-throw itself and get stuck at an angle, with the head of the trident buried but the handle out. If you notice, this is only on the side with the sticky piston facing down to stop the flow of water into the water stream. I tried pitting a solid block under the trident to no avail, and I also tried switching the sticky piston block to glass, to no avail. That sticky piston ends up pushing down on that trident, but only after you've left the game and reloaded. Basically, the above ground version breaks every time you toggle to the nether version because the game reloads the tridents in the wrong position (which did not happen on 1.15). Also, I have gameplay footage of exactly when the trident falls and can replicate it over and over quite easily.
Giving a heads up to the core problem causing the trident falling issue. When you save an reload the head of the trident moves forward. I've done some block testing and any moving block causes the trident to fall once its in its new position after a save (I tried every survival obtainable thing I could think of). Of course, that means with the current design, that sticky piston and moving block break the over world version after every save and load. Without that sticky piston and block, the guardians will not go to the nether in that mode, so it breaks the nether version (but fixes over world version) by removing the sticky piston. If we power off that sticky piston then replace it with a solid block, over world is fixed. To fix the nether side we need a new way to stop that water stream from the sides or back or something. Trying to work with the design to figure out where to place something automated and movable to fix that. Hope the details help. I have a feeling I'll figure out a solution soon.
@@practically-nathancurtis @silentwhisper ... Move UP the packed ice block under the trident that falls with a sticky piston when the farm is in nether mode!!! I just made a quick and tacky fix trying to see where to get power from properly. After messing with NOT and NOR gates for 45 minutes I powered it off the base power input before the chamber with some sticky pistons and Redstone blocks just to theory test and it works flawlessly!!! Its a tacky patch but it proved the theory; the tridents are staying in place even after saving and loading, as well as switching farm modes. Needs to be done cleaner, but it works! Instead of pushing a block down over the trident to block the water stream, remove that sticky piston (when its off) replace it with a solid block, then move the sticky piston to under the packed ice in the same spot, and move up that packed ice to block the water stream and send the guardians to the nether! I need a cleaner solution that doesn't take 3 sticky pistons and 3 Redstone blocks, but I was just testing. If it helps anyone let me know. If you have a better way to power that setup let me know. Couldn't use Redstone under water and I was getting too tired to mess with it longer, lol.
@@YoloDennis yeah me too, but if you dont have all this stuff it will take way longer. I made the older version last year and i didnt have those thinks and it took 2 weeks to make it. Now it took 2,5 days.
*Fix for tridents falling* (overworld-only version): The trick is to change each module so that the pistons are _retracted_ when the farm is turned off, rather than extended. I found a relatively simple way to make that change. With the farm turned off, for each module: 1. Stand on top of the powered solid block in the corner (the one with two repeaters facing into it, 3 blocks off the ground) 2. Remove the _other_ powered solid block on this level, and remove the repeater that leads from that block to the one you're standing on 3. Place a sticky piston (facing you) where the solid block was. It should extend and grab the block you're standing on The module will now be on rather than off, and turning the farm back "on" will now turn the updated module(s) off, by retracting the new piston and disabling the clock... but now with the trident killer pistons _retracted_. You can fairly easily replace the tridents in this "off" state by aiming them into the middle of the two blocks exposed by the retracted pistons. This change flips the on/off state of the whole farm, and you'll probably need to adjust the centermost module a little bit too, but so far I've yet to have any issues since making this change a few days ago Also for what it's worth, I'm using bottom trapdoors for the xp/item gates and they work for me 🤷♂️
@@mydogiscute7511 Odd, it's been working fine for me. I always turn the farm off before leaving the area or logging off, so that the pistons are retracted, and I haven't had any issues. Yours are falling down while it's actively running? Or do you know when?
@@SupYuna At 16:39 you can see the original configuration: [solid block A] (repeater >) [solid block B], meaning that when the module is powered, solid block B gets powered and disables the clock with the trident killer pistons extended. The new configuration for those three spaces is [sticky piston facing right] (extended piston head >) [solid block B], so now when the module is de-powered, the sticky piston retracts and pulls block B out of the clock, disabling it with the trident killer pistons retracted -- fixing the issue.
Here are some personal recommendations to bring along to build this farm: 4 furnaces and fuel (like 2 stacks of coal would be good) and sponges (32) Sponges are the best and most simple way to clear out the water for me. Edit: Placing wet sponges in the nether immediately dries them up, so you might want to do that instead of drying the sponges in a furnace. 8 stacks of dirt for counting and dividing the build into sections so that you can clear out the water more easily (you can take from the previous wall of dirt and build another with it when you’re done using it) 2-3 stacks of torches to light up the whole farm A conduit that’s powered for speed underwater, never die of drowning underwater, and haste Also, make sure your storage can store all the drops from this farm... the video only shows like 6 double chests but this farm can fill up to 16 double chests per hour!! You may just want to dispose all of the drops because of how much you get from this farm!! It’s also not a bad idea to have an enchanting table with 15 bookshelves, a grindstone, and all the lapis you have... this farm gives so much XP that you’re literally going to run out of lapis first before you run out of levels Another thing to note is that this will become a fish farm too, so a lot more fish and bones will also come with the design. If you don’t want to hear all of the fish flopping then just put solid blocks over all of the ice. Anyways, awesome farm silent! This farm took a long time to build in survival, and it definitely did NOT disappoint! I will literally never need to mine for blocks ever again because of all the prismarine!! I hope this helps some of you guys out!
Przemysław Maj what? 1/3 per min lvl that’s rubbish are you 30 blocks away and is everything despawned and is there light so things can’t spawn if that is the case idk what happend
@Przemysław Maj The only problems that I can think of is that you misplaced the spawn spots or the cave mob cap is full (the cave mob cap is 8). If it's the spawn spots, you'll obviously just need to break trident killers and replace them in the right locations, and if it's the cave mob cap then set the difficulty to peaceful and then back to hard. If you're on a realm/multiplayer server, then it's likely that the problem is the mob cap.
@@silentwisperer idk if ur gonna read this but I built the farm exactly like this, but not many spawned, like one every 2 mins, which is worthless. Can you figure out the problem?maybe its mob cap pr smt
@Mayson Ostermeyer There is not a single Silent farm that doesnt work in the same update. Even if it were to break in the next update, silent would inform us. And yes, it works currently if you follow the pinned comment.
THIS IS TO EVERYONE WHOS GAME KEEPS CRASHING FROM USING THIS turn all the repeaters on the pistons to the slowest possible and then you shouldn’t crash like so people see this
Is this referring to the application error on PS4? I’m getting it all the time. I think the reason the game crashes is because of the guardians beam that seems to lock on to you wherever you are ... but I’ll try this
Ian Rivera I tried only using about 10 of the pods. Still the same issue. Therefore it’s the bug with the guardians locking on to you. They shouldn’t be able to lock on to you from so far away
@@joeysponheim I don't play on PS4 so when the guardians lock on to me, I don't get a error. I don't know anything about how it causes an error so I wish you luck trying to fix it
Tips for better performance on ps4: 1.When using this farm make sure to turn all your settings down low (fancy graphics, chunk distance, view bobbing...etc) 2.If you had the same problem as me with fish spawning in your tubes and suffocating, dropping their loot everywhere and adding to the lag, Then instead of glass above the packed ice, use a solid block so fish can’t spawn. The reason I’m writing this is because It crashed my app using this farm.... (overworld only) Hope this helps some people :)
Big big thx I have the same issiue Yesterday i build this Overworld only on Ps4. And this crash over and over again.... Ok this is a lot better but its crash again 🤣 My lst attemp i will shut down half of the Spawning spots. This farm is too strong for ps4 Systeme. Ok it is too much XP or loot my Ps4 always Crash. I have Only 2 cells 🙈
crepercata77 water for the items, it’s not anything got to do with the cells, just the water stream coming from every cell, above the water stream where u put the red stone to turn the machine on from the afk spot...change it from glass to solid blocks
I've literally finished clearing the water for the older guardian farm this morning, decided to take a break on RUclips and this video pop on my feed (btw really great work)
The consideration this man puts into these videos is insane. Having the nether and no nether kill chambers INCLUDED both in the video just goes to show how much he’s thinking about how to make it better for us. Absolutely love your videos

IMPORTANT! Steps to improve your rates! Step one: directly under where the gardians spawn put a pillar of blocks all the way to the sea floor. Reason (in my testing they can spawn underneath the platform.) Step 2: drowned and passive mobs. 1.15/1.16 will change this step. Put solid blocks at y=62 so you stand on y=63 in a 4chunk radius from your afk spot. This will prevent drowned from spawning while this is in overworld mode. After 1.16 you wont have to do this.
When you mean by "Directly under where the guardians spawn" Do you mean the monument like the Farm then cover the whole underneath area with blocks? I don't understand. I really want to know cuz I am lovin this project
@@auveus5036Once you've worked out where your spawning spots are, build a pillar from the lowest floor of the monument right up to your spawn chambers. Use any solid block, even dirt will do
1.18.1 Update I can confirm that the overworld-only version does still work in the caves and cliffs update with one small change. It was mentioned in an earlier comment that XP orbs now float. This means that you will need to change out the half slabs for horizontal chains or trapdoors in each cell. Without that, I started to get some bad lag in 5 minutes of running the farm due to the number of orbs (On Xbox Series X) Other than that this farm still works great for me just having built it in a new world on this new 1.18.1 update. I thought it was interesting that when I was building it I had guardians under the farm but once I killed them nothing else spawned under the farm once it was complete.
@@Fabianeke Yup That did start happening sorry I did not notice that right away however sense it just was not all that bad for me. I looked at the other previous comments and they have a solution of routing the lower redstone through a slightly longer path. That seemed to do the trick for me so far.
I have a simailar problem that most people are having it only works for like a couple of minutes and then they stop spawning make sure to like this so he might make another vid on it explaining why its not working and how he can fix it
Oof I just grinded 4 stacks of obisdian and then realized I only want to do the overworld part............................welp I guess I could make the phantom farm now
IMPORTANT: CHANGE SLABS WITH SIDEWAYS CHAINS! In a recent update to mc bedrock xp orbs now float. This means that some of the xp orbs would begin floating and hit the slab, unable to reach the player and cause MAJOR LAG WHEN AFKING. So simply place a sideways chain block to allow xp to flow over it, and items to slip under it. TRAPDOORS WILL NOT BE 100% EFFECTIVE IT NEEDS TO BE CHAIN BLOCKS. This improves xp rates and reduces lag!
OMGGGG you are a life saver. I was so annoyed that the exp got stuck on the slabs but I didn’t really know a fix so I left it alone and lost my best source of exp... But this will really help. Thanks!
As of April 2021, v1.16.221, I can confirm this Guardian Farm is still working. -I've made the Over World Version so I can't confirm the Nether Version. -Phantom Experience Orbs do occur so watch out for them. -Once in a while you may have to walk against each kill chamber as experience orbs can get stuck and build up lag overtime.
Another HomeRun.. You are the Michael Jordan of Bedrock Tutorials. Always easy to understand and follow, and always works... my realm is full of your farms Thank you Keep up the Great work, they are very appreciated
@@Mykl0000 first Jordan never was suspended for Basketball he retired and yes he played Baseball after he retired from the Bulls. But in reality this comment was ever meant to put the to things together...I guess Slam Dunk would of been a better word.
some of you won't see this but I found out that the slabs from the kill chambers are also responsible for xp lagg caused by the interaction between the slab and the water source where the guardians spawn. What i did to fix this was just replacing the slab for a trap door placed on the floor, it will allow thx go through and will keep the guardians in the kill chamber I hope this helps someone and thx silent for this amazing farm. Keep up the good work.
For anyone who’s having problems with the farm stopping after a minute or so, the problem is probably that a cell isn’t working right either from redstone missing or tridents misplaced. After a short bit, all of the guardians will end up spawned in that cell and no more can spawn until those are gone. This was the case with two of my cells, and now that I fixed those it runs indefinitely until I turn it off
I must say thank you so much for this tutorial! I made a couple tweaks though. For us playing in survival, and without elytra, I made a couple bubble columns to get up/down. Also placed a couple blocks at the end of the dispenser to act as a spout to help angle the items down. This allowed me to put the button on the outside block and let the water run clear to the edge of the ice so nothing gets stuck at the end.
I made overworld only version and worked great, amazing actually! Recently experience orbs stopped fitting under the slab at the exit of kill chamber and causing my switch to lag. I would get some orbs but not like before. There may be other ways to solve it but I replace the slabs with trapdoors. I think for some reason the orbs are floating too high to fit under slabs now but so far are sliding under trap door. Place it so the top of trap door at same height as old slab. Stops water and guardians. After I placed them I was worried the redstone would power them but it doesn't.
Just built it works great took me 5 1/2 hours Just replace the slabs with sideways chain to stop XP getting stuck a few items get lost but mostly come through but stop lag
Ohhh, I'll have to try this next, spent a stupid amount of time trying to get the xp orbs not to get stuck on trap doors haha, ended up moving killing chamber and extending water stream to accommodate. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Chains didnt work for me, someone else recommended ladder on the wall and a slab above it, works pretty well. In my testing, depending which side you put it on, depends whether occasional xp gets stuck on the one side vs an occasion item. Only full proof for me was moving the chamber and extending the stream out 5 blocks from the water source, trap door at the end and 2 magma blocks under the water next to the killing chamber. Going to try more of the ladders to assess lag. Apparently its different for everyone, some people said they didnt have issues with just using a trap door instead of slab, but that wasnt the case for me. Good luck, love this farm!
NOTICE : The EXP and drops will not delivered with pressure plates in version 1.16.0. Construct this farm with signs instead of a pressure plates so the EXP and drops will flow and be delivered.
The 1.16.100 update broke this a little bit. The xp orbs now float higher, and get caught in the upper slab we were using to separate the guardians from our item-collecting-water-streams. I did some testing, and it works again if you replace the half-slabs with trap doors (set the trap doors on the lower level or the side (NOT THE TOP). I suggest you dnld the world file Silent has here, and test in there. If it passes your testing then implement in your realm or real mc world.
If anyone is wondering how to replace the water with air: /fill [xyz] [xy+3z] air 0 replace water Replace the [xyz] with opposite corners of the farm, and make sure that you keep the y+3 for the last xyz and stand on the bottom of the platform
I built this farm yesterday and I had doubts that it would produce the way it was shown in the video. But I can personally say that this is the best farm I have ever built on my world! If the guardians are not spawning try loading in peaceful and the switch back to hard and you will get many more drops!
Thanks haven’t tried it because I’m not a mod on my realm, is their any other troubleshooting? But 99 percent sure all spawning spots are right , but I only put water in 7 spots because I only had 14 tridents, but still nothing spawning besides fish
@@stonecold9795 You need to find and kill all the guardians below the farm and in the area. That's why putting it in peaceful and back to hard works. Every guardian alive outside the farm prevents a spawn in the farm.
Just spent 6 hours building this on xbox, works great! Thanks for the amazing bedrock tutorials! Did read the part about changing out the pressure plates with buttons.
Can confirm this works for the latest version of MCPE,and silent wasn't exaggerating the xp,or the drops(dark prismarine for days baby!) Although I would seriously recommend building it without the nether portal version if you are playing on a mobile device cause it can get super laggy

Honestly to anyone that is on bedrock... build this farm. It took me 2 days total to build on my survival world. I built 14 kill stations out of 25 because my phone started dropping fps hard. It does just fine with 14 too. Mine kill stations are only overworld, they have no portals built into them. By far the biggest pain of a farm to build but when you can mend all tools in less than a minute, you wont regret it. I built this almost year ago and this it still working as of december of 2020 perfectly.

The over world only farm is actually insane. I enchanted all the tridents with impaling V- and, with a looting III sword, the hoppers can't keep up. Not to mention the xp-- silent is right to add the lava dispenser 😄 If you were to afk this farm, you'd definitely want the lava dispenser on, not just for the xp, but for the insane amount of items the hoppers can't keep up with! Double chests would be filled up in no time, and I don't think it'd take even a half hour to surpass triple digit levels.
@Jack Tuel you just gotta be persistent. I have a trading hall with about 26 or so librarians. They will eventually give you most of what you're after, it just can take a lot of time. Supposedly impaling 4 is just as good on the guardians as 5, so if you get that or at least 3 where you can combine them you should be good. To find the tridents I just used a maxed conduit and hunted drowns around the farm after i had all but the tridents and redstone lines complete. I used the cheaty zero tick kelp farm outputting to a smoker set up for the xp.
@@qwaserdf17zzjdctutd69 you just need the coordinates for two blocks to fill each wall. Build a pillar on one corner all the way to the water surface, then build a pillar on an adjacent corner all the way up until you are 3 blocks from the water surface. Write down your coords when standing on both blocks. Then go into the chat and type /fill cobblestone. The spaces are important, and remove the ""s. For the first xyz put in one of the coords, then a space, then the next xyz coords. You will then have one wall. Repeat for all four sides. Next you need the floor, so place a block in two corners that are diagonal from eachother. Write down the coords for both of these blocks, and type /fill cobblestone. In this one both of your Y coords should be the same. Honestly though, it isn't hard to build it up without using commands. I don't use cheats in my world and building the walls, floor, and removing all the water took around 3 or 4 hours with 30 sponges.
Hey Silent, you can use a grindstone to make items in a water stream be collected by hoppers, like sea pickles on Java. Basically, the water pushes the items along the rim of the hoppers. Just thought I’d share this.
You know, I’ve been looking for a bit, and this farm has Better rates than other, and when I saw this was made 5 months ago, I was sort of upset because I thought it would be out of date, but people are commenting only weeks ago that it still works, so I’m excited to start building this!!
The is one of the best farms on bedrock! I just built this with signs in the water streams, the slabs on the outside of the kill chamber block the exp orbs since the now float. I've replaced the slabs with trapdoors and that seems to work for my solo player world.
I noticed this also. do you put the trap doors on the top, north side, or south side of the stream? I'm having some issues still with the xp obs stalling in each cell. It's FAR less than with a slab but it's still happening.
I tried that as well. I may extend the trident killer by one (3 trident killers ) because the orbs are floating and still catching the trap door. After an hour or so the build up of stuck xp is causing massive lag. By extending the trident killer by one additional trident will mean the water stream inside the module will extend by one block and be lower before it gets stopped by the topside trap door. Hopefully the orbs will also be lowered by just enough to miss the topside trapdoor
I will forever be subscribed to you! I find your videos helpful and accurate, went through many other videos trying to find out why my farm wouldn’t work, they all had miscounted the spawn zones. Keep up the great work and know that you help a lot of us out.
19:50 you need solid blocks on either side for it to work I tried like how you did it and they spawned outside the water but then putting solid blocks and they spawned normally!
This is going to be my first ever major farm wish me luck.. edit have been using it for awhile by far worth it can causally get to 100 in less than an hour amazing farm
If your guardian farm is a lot laggier after the update it could be because xp orbs are getting stuck in the kill chamber, to fix this, replace the slabs in the kill chamber with trapdoors
@@draxler4027 I was having the same problem then I made a creative copy of the world and replaced all slabs with trapdoors and tried the farm for 15 min. But items and xp still get stuck on the trapdoor. So please not use trapdoors.
@@sarveshkumar6226 Really? Me and my friends on mcpe changed it to trapdoors and it works fine. Several other people in the comments also say the same thing. Are u playing on mcpe or xbox/pc?
I came here just in case anyone else is finding a issue because of 1.16. Thankfully it still works just replace the pressure plates with buttons or sign. 😁
I understand you told us in your "UPDATE2" to "Replace the glass in front of the trident killer pistons, with chests." I tried several different combinations replacing different blocks with chests and none have solved the issue of the tridents falling down. I always turn off the farm before I log out or leave the area but, it is a big problem because every time the tridents fall down I have to break large portions of the module or swim underneath and break blocks to pick them back up and replace them. I feel the update you have provided is unclear as to where or which blocks need to be replaced. Can you please find a fix for the tridents falling down? My buddy has gone to your download world and told me that it has the same issue.
I had this same problem and I did some testing and found out that it’s the piston being extended that causes the trident to fall through the block. So if you instead use two observers as a red stone clock at each cell and then turn it off using a sticky piston it will make it so that the piston isn’t extended and then the tridents won fall through. Hope this helps!
Hey silent, I have Problem, my guardians aren’t spawning in the cells, the spawn in the outer areas. I doubled checked the spawn spots but it still doesn’t work
Took months to make because I stupidly decided to build the whole thing out of concrete. I wont make that mistake again, but it was 100% worth it. Great farm, thanks Silent!
*UPDATE: Replace the slab in the killing chamber at **14:14** with an upper trapdoor:) 1.16 caused exp to float, and using a slab there causes the exp to get stuck in the kill chamber! Could also try a lower trapdoor if an upper one doesn't work for you!*
*UPDATE2: Replace the glass in front of the trident killer pistons, with chests. That should prevent tridents from falling down:) **13:49*
Thank you so much for watching! :D I hope you enjoy this new farm in your world! Been wanting to release this for a long time, but it just wasn't on my priority list haha. Lemme know any questions comments or concerns you have here in the comments! :D
I built your previous one, I only use the nether side of the farm, the only changes i see here is the extra redstone in the overworld
But what makes it faster?
Is it because there is less water in the pods so they go into the portal faster?
is the over one just the nether part and not the overworld part. if so i would use the other one so its less Redstone and tridents.
Would using blue ice rather then packed ice make any difference to the rates of the farm?
Can you fix the iron farm
Frequently Asked Questions ************(FAQ)*************
Q: Why aren’t guardians spawning?
A: Kill all guardians inside the temple and make sure there no holes inside of your kill chambers. Extra mobs that aren’t in your farm take up your mob cap and slow your rates. If you are having trouble go to the AFK platform turn it on peaceful and then to hard so the maximum can spawn. (Drowned do not affect this)
Q: Do you need impaling V?
A: impaling IV does the exact same and is a better alternative, otherwise they can be default tridents.
Q: Why are so many fish spawning?
A: To stop them put solid blocks like cobblestone above water streams.
Q: Can I use regular ice?
A: No because there a perfect light level is needed for the ice to be effective.
Q: Why are phantoms spawning and killing me?
A: Put a solid block above your head and you should be fine.
Q: Should I make a over-world and nether version?
A: Not really, the overworked version gives more XP and better rates.
Tips of advice
1. Light up your platform that the kill chambers are on. This will prevent other mobs from spawning
My trident killers are breaking and all the tridents vanish when I try to pick them up.

@@jamesa6911 Do everyone a favor and tell us the fix?

*Fix for tridents falling* (overworld-only version): The trick is to change each module so that the pistons are _retracted_ when the farm is turned off, rather than extended. I found a relatively simple way to make that change. With the farm turned off, for each module:
1. Stand on top of the powered solid block in the corner (the one with two repeaters facing into it, 3 blocks off the ground)
2. Remove the _other_ powered solid block on this level, and remove the repeater that leads from that block to the one you're standing on
3. Place a sticky piston (facing you) where the solid block was. It should extend and grab the block you're standing on
The module will now be on rather than off, and turning the farm back "on" will now turn the updated module(s) off, by retracting the new piston and disabling the clock... but now with the trident killer pistons _retracted_. You can fairly easily replace the tridents in this "off" state by aiming them into the middle of the two blocks exposed by the retracted pistons. This change flips the on/off state of the whole farm, and you'll probably need to adjust the centermost module a little bit too, but so far I've yet to have any issues since making this change a few days ago
Also for what it's worth, I'm using bottom trapdoors for the xp/item gates and they work for me 🤷♂️
Wow thanks for the help... Just tryna figure out how to change it so it works with the nether+overworld version... I'll let you know if I get anywhere
I tried this and it seemed to help, but in the end after a while all my tridents will end up falling through the blocks again.
@@mydogiscute7511 Odd, it's been working fine for me. I always turn the farm off before leaving the area or logging off, so that the pistons are retracted, and I haven't had any issues. Yours are falling down while it's actively running? Or do you know when?
I don't quite understand #3 may i ask you to rephrase it?
@@SupYuna At 16:39 you can see the original configuration: [solid block A] (repeater >) [solid block B], meaning that when the module is powered, solid block B gets powered and disables the clock with the trident killer pistons extended. The new configuration for those three spaces is [sticky piston facing right] (extended piston head >) [solid block B], so now when the module is de-powered, the sticky piston retracts and pulls block B out of the clock, disabling it with the trident killer pistons retracted -- fixing the issue.
Here are some personal recommendations to bring along to build this farm:
4 furnaces and fuel (like 2 stacks of coal would be good) and sponges (32)
Sponges are the best and most simple way to clear out the water for me.
Edit: Placing wet sponges in the nether immediately dries them up, so you might want to do that instead of drying the sponges in a furnace.
8 stacks of dirt for counting and dividing the build into sections so that you can clear out the water more easily (you can take from the previous wall of dirt and build another with it when you’re done using it)
2-3 stacks of torches to light up the whole farm
A conduit that’s powered for speed underwater, never die of drowning underwater, and haste
Also, make sure your storage can store all the drops from this farm... the video only shows like 6 double chests but this farm can fill up to 16 double chests per hour!! You may just want to dispose all of the drops because of how much you get from this farm!!
It’s also not a bad idea to have an enchanting table with 15 bookshelves, a grindstone, and all the lapis you have... this farm gives so much XP that you’re literally going to run out of lapis first before you run out of levels
Another thing to note is that this will become a fish farm too, so a lot more fish and bones will also come with the design.

IMPORTANT!
Steps to improve your rates!
Step one: directly under where the gardians spawn put a pillar of blocks all the way to the sea floor.
Reason (in my testing they can spawn underneath the platform.)
Step 2: drowned and passive mobs. 1.15/1.16 will change this step. Put solid blocks at y=62 so you stand on y=63 in a 4chunk radius from your afk spot. This will prevent drowned from spawning while this is in overworld mode. After 1.16 you wont have to do this.

1.18.1 Update
I can confirm that the overworld-only version does still work in the caves and cliffs update with one small change.
Don't the tridents fall through at your farm?
@@Fabianeke Yup That did start happening sorry I did not notice that right away however sense it just was not all that bad for me. I looked at the other previous comments and they have a solution of routing the lower redstone through a slightly longer path. That seemed to do the trick for me so far.

Do these chains go inside the killing chambers?
@@wnbrn no just replace the slabs with them. Make the chains sideways so the xp and drops can pass under and over

After building everything. I realized I misplaced every spawning spots by 1 block in diagonal HAHAHAHAHA happy quarantine evryone.

Advanced Guardian Farm, AKA a big red button for your realm
I made overworld only version and worked great, amazing actually! Recently experience orbs stopped fitting under the slab at the exit of kill chamber and causing my switch to lag. I would get some orbs but not like before. There may be other ways to solve it but I replace the slabs with trapdoors. I think for some reason the orbs are floating too high to fit under slabs now but so far are sliding under trap door. Place it so the top of trap door at same height as old slab. Stops water and guardians. After I placed them I was worried the redstone would power them but it doesn't.
In the new update xp orbs now float
Thank u. I thoufht this farm was totally broken in 1.16
I was just wondering if this would fix it.
Thx so much. I was wondering why I was lagging so much
Is the lag still as bad as before with trapdoors?
Just built it works great took me 5 1/2 hours Just replace the slabs with sideways chain to stop XP getting stuck a few items get lost but mostly come through but stop lag
Thank you
Ohhh, I'll have to try this next, spent a stupid amount of time trying to get the xp orbs not to get stuck on trap doors haha, ended up moving killing chamber and extending water stream to accommodate. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
THANK YOUUUUUU
will try out
You're a lifesaver really
If your too lazy to use signs like me a slab that is on the upper part of a block works too
Do they still spawn efficiently after the despawning change?
Closen_9375 yes
A_lert YLGS thanks
Closen_9375 seems to be off or they changed the amount of xp dropped.
Yo thanks man

The over world only farm is actually insane. I enchanted all the tridents with impaling V- and, with a looting III sword, the hoppers can't keep up. Not to mention the xp-- silent is right to add the lava dispenser 😄
If you were to afk this farm, you'd definitely want the lava dispenser on, not just for the xp, but for the insane amount of items the hoppers can't keep up with!

I just built this with signs in the water streams, the slabs on the outside of the kill chamber block the exp orbs since the now float. I've replaced the slabs with trapdoors and that seems to work for my solo player world.
Btw putting trapdoors on the bottom of the block is best
Thats exactly what I did 👍
For anyone struggling with xp movement in 1.16.100 replace the slabs in each trident killer with trap doors. The guardians still won't escape

@@markallenayers5510 I put them on the top and it worked fine

I tried that as well. I may extend the trident killer by one (3 trident killers ) because the orbs are floating and still catching the trap door. After an hour or so the build up of stuck xp is causing massive lag. By extending the trident killer by one additional trident will mean the water stream inside the module will extend by one block and be lower before it gets stopped by the topside trap door. Hopefully the orbs will also be lowered by just enough to miss the topside trapdoor

I tried several different combinations replacing different blocks with chests and none have solved the issue of the tridents falling down.
