Not only do I love tenth avenue North for their music, but for things like this! I learn so much from everything they say! When they perform live they give every bit of glory to God rather then themselves! I can easily see that they have a relationship with God, it shows through everything they do and say, and it encourages me!
I love you guys! May God KEEP blessing you! I hope you know how many lives God impacts through you!

Come awn preacha'! I am not defined by what I DO, but what He DID for me! I'm so glad I no longer have to "find" my identity, or try identifying myself by my hobbies, or the things I'm not good at. But merely as a child of God, who was a sinner, but is just saved by grace. I didn't do anything, so that means EVERYONE'S eligible.

I remember learning the bible with the felt board and using it to teach the bible. This makes me want to read the bible... thank you for this entry. We surely are the disciples that Jesus loves.

I always laugh in horror at the teacher (what kind of Sunday school teacher is THAT!) and at Mike's imitations of her! This is very encouraging

Ok, so I was reading the end of John one day, right, and Peter was talking about the disciple that Jesus loved, and John finally tells us that the writer of the book was that disciple. My mind was BLOWN and I got a little suspicious that John referred to himself like that. Now that I see this video, everything is as plain as day. Thanks, Mike Donehey.

WOW! You have some pretty powerful messages! That's something that makes your live show so awesome (the way you guys describe God and what he does for us). You should have some of the other guys do a journal every once and a while, though.
I remember you told us about John being Jesus' best friend at your last concert in Charlotte, NC and my friend and I have kind of made it a big joke when we talk about John in church to say how he is the one that Jesus loved. :)

John is my favorite apostle. He is the most peculiar. And among the other things you mentioned (his title, custody of Mary, only disciple present at crucifixion) he is believed to be the only one who wasn't martyred. Everyone else was. Very interesting...

Before we get all fired up and say, "Man, Mike is so awesome!", or "Mike's got the gift of prophecy!" Let me say a couple things. 1. This video was simply down-right truthful and we should let that benefit us. 2. I wouldn't say Mike has been given "the gift of prophecy", ya see, when the bible talks about being given spiritual gifts, a commandment can not be a gift. We're commanded to read the bible... Mike has 'awesome-ly' been faithful to studying and reading his bible. - Caleb

What doesn't make sense is that the disciple that Jesus loved was known to the high priests and sat in a much of their discussions about Jesus.

John 11:1-5 (NKJV)
The Death of Lazarus
11 Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. 2 It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. 3 Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”
4 When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”
5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.
Lazarus was NOT a Disciple. Look when Jesus chose the 12. Lazarus was not named among them. Also, look at the text, is "he whom You love is sick". Nowhere does it say Lazarus was a Disciple. I'm sorry my friend, you are wrong.
