- A long rainy season weekend.
We were wondering where to go, and it was past noon when we left...
We headed to Yamaguchi Prefecture in search of a place where we can have fun even in the rain.
The sun is already starting to set, so we head for our sleeping place.
We arrive at a great place to stay in the car, with a restaurant, hot spring, and coin-operated laundry.
The food at this restaurant is just delicious!
We enjoy the specialties and relax in the car.
As we try to fall asleep, a thunderstorm intensifies.
And the emergency alerts were ringing over and over again!
I couldn't sleep, and the morning came.
The next day, we headed for Karato Market in Shimonoseki.
However, we couldn't get there as we expected...

We are a family of three: husband (Shin), wife (Ayako), and daughter (Yuri), both around 40 years old and our only daughter.
We bought the campervan of our dreams, the Corde Leaves, so that our daughter could have a variety of experiences!
We will enjoy our hobby of outdoor activities, such as camping, staying in the car, mountain climbing, and fishing, while traveling all over Japan.
In addition, we would like to share with you how we made the campervan more comfortable by DIY and our daily life using the camper.

雨の降りが尋常じゃない感じでしたね。雨の音って時には 心落ち着かせる感じになったり、時には強烈な不安を抱かせますよね。😰

I like very much to watch you and the rest of your family crusing Japans regions . I see a lot of things that are don different in Japan (different than here in Norway) specially the traffic.So I have a few questions . the roadstops you do sometimes to sleep over, shoping and bathing. They seem very planned and regulated so are built according to some laws or what? regards Harald
Those facilities are built regardless of the law. We act on them by researching in advance where to bathe, sleep, etc.
みちしおに立ち寄られたんですね。昔は みちしおの前の道が 国道2号でしたが、今はバイパスが出来て 降りにくくなりました。
貝汁もドンドン高くなり なかなか立ち寄ってまでは・・・観光に雨に降られると 行動も自粛になりますが。
変化は仕方ないにしても、前を知っていると複雑ですね😅
車中泊にはピッタリな場所だったので、また立ち寄りたいと思います😆✨
