"On July 10th, 2140, as part of Operation Thunder, fifteen squadrons of PAC gunships wrested control of the skies above eastern Germany. The victory allowed PAC Titans to airdrop entire regiments of the Northern Command Group behind the EUs Brandenburg Line. Surrounded, the EU Expeditionary Force quickly capitulated. The path to Berlin was cleared. On August 15th, the PAC waged an all-out offensive on the city. After two months of intense fighting, Berlin fell. The remaining EU forces retreated to France where they would make a last stand before evacuating to Africa."

+Lord Caelvanir South America likely faces famine, their ecosystems are completely destroyed, and Chile and Argentina are likely covered by glaciers. African Union is in the alliance with EU in this game
Specifically, it is the European Union vs. the Pan Asian Coalition (PAC).
This game is basically what happens when The Day After Tomorrow meets the Second Cold War.
Welp, I guess EA and Dice have thrown that a bit out the window unfortunately.

I really love the way Cities in Battlefield 2142 look like.
Clean and orderly built buildings and street with space for walking around.
It's fantastic and I really hope that all Cities look that way in about 15 years.

The composer of BF2142 themes must have considered the background and stroyline of the battleground and mixed it with his imaginations in a very considerable way.

i love this theme. it sounds as dire as you could imagine considering the map is called Fall of Berlin
Yea, really has that "shit looks dire, but we're not done yet" vibe. First half is gloomy and somber, only to hit you with that powerful sound of hope in the second half. Sure, Berlin fell in 2140, yet the EU was already back in Germany in 2145.
Payback's a bitch, PAC - we'll see you at Remagen!

@deekante when composing music for a game, you can't only make it soun. good, it has to fit in with the storyline, mood and gameplay too.
Oh man i so hope for another battlefield in this setting.
And please hire the same writer, no, scratch that, just reuse the old soundtrack!

@TigerMeet2142 Where does it say Berlin and Belgrade are both completely consumed by the ice sheet? I've been following the story for freaking ages (story lore for the 2142 mod videos I'm working on) and I've never seen that before.

in the story book on northern strike Berlin and Berlgrade are both completely covered with the glaciers and camp gibraltaar is taken over by pac ,tunis is still from EU and from suoth eurpoe and north africa they attacked port bavaria , leipzig , remagen
