If you have loans, credit card bills etc you shouldn't be shopping; you're just digging yourself into a deeper hole. It's so easy to do when everything is accessible with a few clicks and you don't have a realistic perspective of how much you are spending.
A tip I have is to go into the dressing room & try on every single item you’re considering purchasing because even though you know your size it’s not the same as trying it on & seeing how the clothes lay on your body.

Just came across this video and it was a good reminder to not get sucked into buying things that aren't for my body type - though I admire other's aesthetics, I have come into the awareness that I can admire things but I don't have to own them if the aesthetic doesn't match me. You should definitely do it! I think the video would be amazing. It took me a long time for me to figure out my type because videos always made it seem that hair and eye color mattered a lot when figuring it out, but that's actually secondary according to some. So I went from thinking I was neutral, leaning warm to neutral, leaning slightly cool. My makeup looks 10x better and I don't get influenced as much on makeup. I just get inspired, or I get more discerning on what colors to pick. Even if they're not my exact type, I borrow from the whole season or sneak options from the other cool season. It's like I've saved more money but have gotten to know myself, and love myself.@@Gemaryermus

I only do this for close friends and family where I have a general sense for what their budget for a gift would be for me so I don't ask for something too expensive for their budget. It's been great because it eliminates the gifting anxiety a lot of people might have and I also know I will love what I get!
