Trust me...the $100 grill will last as long as You replace the universal burners once in a while. My $100 BBQ grill I bought from Home Depot is almost 20 years old and working fine.
Cheapest grill from harbor freight, roofers torch and a shopping cart
Boy I'm glad to have all my RUclips channels! You all are making this crazy time much more enjoyable! Thank you!
I had one of those uber cheap char broil grills and got it on clearance from the hopeless despotfor only 17$. It lasted me at least 5 years, looked like new and sold it for 20 when I moved across the country
Charbroil makes a 3 burner very similar to the two burner. Both will be rust buckets within a year and don't plan on moving them around much. Knobs, screws, and such will fall out. At one point in time Charbroil called the two and three burner grills "Quickset" grills. They took longer to build then the 2 and 3 burner Weber Spirit grills. Built all these for years with Lowes as an assembler. As usual you get what you pay for.
I assembled 1000's of grills for for home depot and that particular Dyna-glo grill is really cheap. The best little grill was the little 2 burner Kitchen-aid for a hundred bucks more.
Ha, I love that Bear calls the BBQ fork the 'stabby device'. I have a Dyna-Glo Vertical Smoker which I bought recently because of good reviews and it was cheap! I paid less than $200 for it out the door. I've cooked on it several times and it leaked smoke a lot so I put high-temp insulation stripping around the doors and that fixed that. OK, it's no Lone Star Grillz but it definitely gets the job done and I highly recommend it if that's what your budget allows. And now, I've got this same Dyna-Glo 3-burner Gas Grill in my Home Depot cart. Being a Dyna-Glo I expect it will be a very good grill. Thank you.
We have a Lowe’s where I live. So I just got the American Gourmet 3 Burner grill. When I typed that into the search bar it gave me you video.
My first platoon sergeants had an old Dyna Glo; it was falling apart in his backyard in El Paso after serving in 3 duty stations and over 10 years. Good enough for $100 as far as I'm concerned.
Hi friends. Is an infrared technology grill mandatory? I’m a newbie looking for my first grill. It’s just my wife and I, small family. Looking at char broil. Must it be infrared? Thanks
Is it just me or does this guy sound an awful lot like the bear?
Charbroil disintegrated on me, my cheapie walmart has lasted two years.
Lodge all day, Murica
Buying a cheaper grill doesn't mean it will become a rust bucket in 6 months. Buying a quality grill cover so it doesn't get rained on or sun damaged and placing it in the garage during the winter will protect your grill and keep it looking like new for years to come. You have to take care of it like would other metal items you plan on leaving outside.
just picked up the dyna glo. i have the treager 34, and a 22" weber charcoal. i really just wanted a small gas grill for quick cooks and hopefully this fits the bill. i figure if i can get 6-8 yrs from it thats fine. i cant justify spending $4-500 on a gas grill, when im usually feeding 3 people.
i have to fast for a medical procedure tomorrow, so i figure ill just watch a simple grill video. then you just HAD to start cooking on it. your killing me!!
No more cheap BBQ’s for me. The last Char Broil I bought was a piece of junk. They advertised stainless steel and the grill started to rust after 6 months. I bought a Weber Spirit and I love it. Had it two years now and it still looks new. Weber grills are quality built and will last many many years. The metal they use is top quality. The burners light very fast and I highly recommend any Weber brand. It’s worth it to save up for the Weber.
Do you have a video on how you made the grilled garlic exactly?
oh boy I remember the mess the HF skillet was with that wax from factory but after years of good use I would buy again
I like the hood and hose length of the Dyna glo
The Dyna-Glo 3 burner with sear burner is on sale now at HD for only $99. Its a step up from your model and a steal at this price
The bear really knows a thing or two about cooking. Jack of all trades!
Just purchased the dyna glo this morning from home depot for $99.
Once in a while I will exchange a wolf grill. Hopefully this season I will come across one and make a video, with a skirt steak recipe!!!
This Guy is funny. Thanks for the Info. Getting Dyna- Glo
I have a larger charbroil and the body lasted for years, 6 I think. The burners didn't go more than 3 years. I am a fan of the brand but definitely will not get anything less than 3 burners .
Char-Broil Co. was born and raised in Columbus, Ga, But mostly made in China now...
The winner was the Dyna-Glo. I would pick it too. It's spring and time to get that bear up and moving; bet he would like the food too (good thing I just finished lunch).
My cholesterol numbers went into the red zone just watching this.
I used to buy Charbroil and Coleman for $200 and they would last 2 years max. I grill all year round in the Northeast. 18 years ago I bought a Weber for $500 and I'm still using it. I've replaced the cast iron grates a couple of times and the flavor bars a couple times but the grill is still going and I expect it to be still going for a few more years. This is one place where it is worth spending the money once.
I am staying with my 1991 Weber genesis 2000, it works like new and they still make all the parts for them It will probably will out last me!
Char broil infrared is excellent. Even their smallest one!
My infrared grill is now coming up on 8 years old. I will do a video of it and post in the facebook group😉
i need to replace my old charbroil quickset but man i am not impressed with these grills now. WTH. why is everything so dayum low quality now
My in-laws bought the wife and I the dyna-glo for christmas and to be honest the thing is pretty badass for what it is. It can get extremely hot very quickly and was pretty easy to put together, but being an electrician it was easier to out together for me than it may be for others. As long as you keep it clean and have a cover for it, it will last you and it gets the job done just fine for the price. I love it.
Just bought the Dyno glo this week for $99. The difference one burner, is called sear plus, supposedly to sear your meats. Also suppose to burn hotter. Now got to put it together. Watched here on YT and the way they put them together you can see they put a few together. Can’t wait to see it this 72 year old woman can do if as efficiently. 😅
DynaGlo wins Good video since not everyone can afford a top end grill. I spent many seasons grilling on a cheap grill and I can tell you the Three Burner is the way to go.
Great video dyna glo
I like the dina glow best
Good video jeff
I'd pick a 3 burner grill (if I HAVE to use gas) all day every day. I own 3 grills, 2 Charcoal, 1 gas, as well as an electric smoker. They all get put through their paces year round. None of them, including the smoker cost over $250. My big charcoal grill was the most expensive (about $240) and my gas grill was the least expensive (about $120). I actually ask for them in the box because I prefer to assemble them myself. If I could offer a bit of advice...stop smashing your burgers, especially when using the cheap stuff. They'll get done just as fast and won't be dry. I'm fortunate enough to have a local meat market that sells ground chuck (for $3.29/lb) that's so lean that I have to add ground pork to it so that burgers will hold together.
Three seasons ago, my dad gave me his Weber Performer which is already a serious grill with propane ignition. He's getting older and this season, he is passing on his Char-Broil Akorn Komodo egg. I'm kind of in shock, but he's 71 and still has 2 other portable Webers. I'll video it when I get it.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Acorn. I built one yesterday, could not imagine what you might use it for.
@@mikeeuritt4396 It's got furious heat and temp control is about all I know. The grill is SOLID cast iron and it's got a fire brick lining. My dad smoked on it a couple of times and grilled on it a couple of times. It's been cleaned and under a decent cover. It's emerald green and looks alien-like. I'll update more when I get it over here. My dad got this on 'clearance' sort of. It was near the end of season and it was the floor model. He picked it up for $125 which was a steal. He's got all the accessories including the ceramic stone inserts.
I think Dyna-glo is more well known for their propane shop heaters
I still have a FIESTA grill. Smaller than the two small ones you compared with your Vegan Veggie recipes. OMG 70/30 burgers? get 93%, mix dried onions in with the meat and an egg, then make the most AWESOME, low fat, juicy burgers...... and no SQUISHING burgers with the SpaTula. I bought the lame ass Fiesta grill at Sears in 2000. IT was about 79.00. Did not use it this past summer, it had a badass wasp nest inside. I like the old exposed burners you do not see anymore.
Swap the handles and dump the charbroil
The 3 burner boy...More Power!
You picked A as I would too.
Way to go on your weight loss, looking good brother!
With the Grilled Garlic no vampires in Vegas
DynoGlo makes heaters...that grill should be $40-55
Don't squish the burgers! lol
I sell these, I had a guy throw a temper tantrum because I didn't have the $1000 high end one in stock. I laughed never seen a grown man pout like a child before.
we got a 6 burner Brinkman i think its called 5 years ago its still goign strong only had to replace the line from the tank to the pipe once think we payed 150 for it lol
Our brinkmann fell over during a thunderstorm and messed up. Now can’t even get replacement parts 🙄😢
@@rahmmenon224 the parts are pretty universal just measure and order them off amazon :)
Silverlan T too late now :( sold the grill last month for $60. We paid over $400 for it
@@rahmmenon224 no worries i havent seen my grill this year sadly too many things happening what a year for sure. and outch i would atleast sold it for 200+ only time it be that low was if there was rust through or rot. im sorry you had a hard time.
So True!!!!
Two things brother congrats on weight loss I have been doing low carb and one meal a day 4 months 40 lbs. Trying to be there for my cub. Second we need a bad directions collection. I was building ikea entertainment stand... first step it is best to be two people... but the firepit was from china made me laugh out loud! Step one screw off!
Looks like Jeff likes shopping at Slowes.
I think I’d rather put my own grill together, that way I know it’s done right. Many times I’ve seen store assembled items fall apart a because they let any ding bat put stuff together.
Also check out cowboy Kent Rollins video on seasoning the lodge. You’ve got to sand their worthless “preseasoning” off and start new. It’s easy and a WAY better finish. I cook on my lodge nearly daily.
A stainless steel (Kurly Kate) and some hot, soapy water kills that crappy coating. I loves me some cast iron. It's the only way to make chicken-fried steak with pan gravy.
Is there a cheap grill that won't disintegrate in a matter of a year or two? Thank you in advance!
So I kept the one from Lowe's and honestly I love it. I've had it now for almost a year. I have purposefully left it sitting, uncovered, in the Vegas weather for almost a year now. That's 120 heat in the summer and yes, it gets below freezing here in the winter. We are up on the hill on the west side of Vegas and 1,500' higher elevation than the strip. We got snow twice in the last four years. And it still fires right up. I cook mostly chicken, burgers, brats and dogs on it.
Not sure if you saw but at our place in Montana I've got a high end pellet and gas grill combo and while that is fantastic I actually wish I had just gotten the pellet grill stand alone and another of these lowe's grills. It's simple and it works.
nice outdoor ovens, I'd rather have a grill
Dyna-glow for the win! Question: why using a wooden spatula on the cast iron? Is that a thing?
To prevent scratching up the seasoning. I still use metal though.
It was the only slotted spatula I had.
the 250 dollar charbroil infrared 3 burner is 100x better. trust me pay a little bit extra and you will thank yourself
char broil is decent been using it since summer last year
It won’t last much longer unfortunately and you will start to experience bad flare-ups. Charbroils are good for two, maybe three seasons.
@@TheGodYouWishYouKnew it still goes good using all winter/ summer even cooked a scrambled eggs on it.
save your money on the throw away grills. heres why. My dad has had the same mhp grill for longer than I've been alive. I'm 28 years old. Yes Same exact grill for that long. He replaced the burner couple times. big deal. Yes they are EXPENSIVE, but I just bought a used MHP Junior, I paid...$20.00 for it and came with a propane bottle. Those garbage grills nothing but an annual purchase. MHP grills have a LIFETIME WARRANTY on alot of their parts for a reason. Like I said, my dad has had his same grill longer than the 28 years I've been around.
FYI...in 2023, the Dyna Glo comes with a insertable/removable SMOKEBOX that sits between 2 burners if you're interested in smoking meats...KRAZY right...now you can own a cheap propane grill/smoker combo for $99.00 assembled...gonna buy one tomorrow...how can you lose?
Thanks for let me know about that, it’s such a simple upgrade. I’m surprised more companies are doing that.
Let me know how it is please ?
@@denoftools Last note...the actual grill YOU tested is now $149.00 assembled...reduced from $179.00 (so it says on the "sale" tag)...gotta say that the grill you featured and tested, in my opinion, is NOT worth the $149.00 sale price even if it is assembled free of charge...
OK Jeff I gave you 5 out of 10 on this video. If your going to make something like beacon jam you have to gave the recipe for the JAM!! the cost you 5 stars. great video keep it up. P.S if the bear had done this video he would have a picnic baskets in the back around. :-0)
The video for the recipie is going up on my geekhealth channel on Monday.
Dyna all the way!!
I saw 376.00 on the first grill...Not $379.00
I'll take the Dyna
I have a Dyna-glo I hate the flare ups, but a good grill otherwise. I've had it for two years now paid $99.
I have this exact dyna-glo and the flare ups bothered me at first too so I started putting tin foil on the bottom so that I wouldn't have to clean the entire grill after 3-4 meals grilled. I can just take out the tin foil and throw away/replace. That little fucker can get super hot super fast. Im going to modify the grill by adding my own thermostat since it doesn't come with one which will be super simple to do.
It won’t last much longer. Get a Weber. It comes out cheaper in the long run.
Dyna glo
i have an older variants of that char-broil. after a few years, if you don't keep it covered, its useless. the inner grill rots out, the finish fails, the knobs break down due to uv, etc.
my advice; save up and get a stainless with a cover.
@8:57 - Can you down-mix that video (osmo?) down to a mono channel in editing? My left ear is very pleased with the sound. My right ear is crying in the corner. Edit - That is your voiceover and it's only in the left.
You were only getting one channel? Crap, I setup a new "scene" in OBS and forgot to merge the audio.
@@denoftools Yes. OBS can be quite a pain with different audio sources. I struggled with it.
Dynaco!
HD usually has their nexgrill or dynaglow 4 burners for like $160 around summer time and they have cast iron grates.. Used to see em all day when i worked there.
I cried inside when you kept smashing down those patties.
Please, please, fix the voiceover mic to go to both channels
Will do.
$88 at Wal-Mart
Whisky. My man!
Ok 🐻, I'm just gonna ask, are you a grill person? I told you I would critique you accordingly 🙃🤔. I'll pass on comments about the tin can comparison.
No, no I'm not. I'm not a "cooking" person either to be honest.
I like the look of the Char-Broil better.
A
Weber grills are made in China
HA!
Neither one of them you need to cook meat with charcoal or wood period end unless you are a city slicker in that case have fun eating flavorless other than seasoning cooking, and enjoy your trips to your country friends house that know how to grill without the bull crap propane.
1. You talk way too much
2. This is not inflation prices
This video is literally three years old 😂
I can't watch anymore Bear. What you did to those burgers is murdered them and not in a PETA kind of way. Culinary cardinal sin to smash the juice out of the burger and to what end; dry burgers. Especially medium well. Oy vey! The rest, I like this.
That jam is FUEGO though. Mrs Gorilla said that sweetener will give you colon blow for sure. Look for Monk Fruit granular. Easier on the innards until you acclimate to sugar alcohols. I'm going to make this this weekend and add mushroom to ours.
Too funny about the mushrooms as I almost added a pic of the wife doing just that. She is a huge shroom fan but I'm not.
🙃👀🌪
They're 80 bucks at Walmart
