Fun fact: The M1895 Nagant Revolver can be suppressed. It's not in the game but it's interesting that a revolver from before suppressors were invented could end up being so. Only reason I know is GFL.

Don't know how useful people may find this but with both of the mounted torches they do clear the black grass anomaly faster than the head torch and the signal lamp.
Love it. I was recently introduced to your Chanel and I love it. I’ve made it to 2 streams and had a wonderful time!! Don’t understand how you don’t have more followers!! Love the content!!
Personally, the optics depend on what I'm using. Starting with my favorite and most reliable weapon besides the Tokarev: the Mosin-Nagant with a PU scope. Love this thing. I'm sure the other scopes are better, however, I'm a little sad that you didn't mention that the Mosin-Nagant's PU Scope is the only scope that allows you to still use the iron sights under it. This gives you the benefit of quickly switching between the scope for long range engagements and the irons for close quarters. I do use this feature even when I do have a laser on my trusty rifle that I take everywhere, and it has saved my life on a few occassions; it's to the point that I've swapped the laser out for a flashlight since a laser would be redundant but the extra and more focused light helps for night exploration. Red dots for SMGs because it's slightly faster for target acquisition and there's less obstruction around your peripheral. Holographic sight is much better for an assault rifle because of the longer range accuracy. Shotgun gets the ACOG because it looks nicer and the variable zoom helps with switching between slugs and buckshot. Never slapping an optic on a pistol though, my mind just can't get used to not using the ironsights no matter what, so I end up missing more with the pistol red dot as my mind takes a moment to adjust; and it's very easy to use pistol irons anyway, except for the D'Eagle, on which I use a scope for magnums in any game anyway. Blame Halo.
My section sergeant in Iraq had that Spectr optic on his M4. You let me look through it and what not and it was pretty cool I guess. I recognized it immediately in any game that I play that has this in it
Idk if this has any relevance to actual IN GAME performance.. but irl holographic sights have a parallax-free sight picture. (Which could explain some of your inconsistencies for RDS’ in your testing). A holographic sight picture is parallax-free. And like you said, the sight picture is projected to the screen. This is why you are able to see the reticle with both eyes.. not that it really matters. What DOES matter is that with a holographic sight, where the reticle is is where the bullet will hit. Even if the reticle is off screen. And since the older red dot sights are not parallax-free, what this means is that the reticle has to be dead center on the screen in order for the bullet to land exactly where you are zeroed. This is likely why you are having inconsistencies when shooting with different red dots
If you use red dots ingame put them up to your dominat eye and keep the other open, your brain puts both images together. Red dots arent optimised for acurracy but for target aquisition speed. Works pretty well with my Pico4
SCAR with the 7-35x scope plus laser has been working pretty well for me lately. Once I beat the game, I’m going to mod it so it has more render and fog distance to make sniping even more OP😁
Honestly, if difficult survival games weren't so niche and VR was more widely used, you'd have a pretty solid fan base. Unfortunately I think you're in that "middle period" where VR is still catching on and the games available still arent fleshed out enough to be popular. You're ahead of your time and the games are behind.
Okp-7 my favourite scope, very small and high fov. For short-mid range i using spectr 4x, its very good. Btw on PSO-1 IRL exist illumination of the reticle
I don't know if this is a very known thing or if it's with certain weapons, I did with with a Mosin. When I used the handheld spotter scope thing and looked through it, it showed me where I was pointing my gun but with a zoom now. I had to point it in the same general direction and everything but it did work. I just thought I'd throw that out here incase you do an equipment range video or anything
As someone who really likes the design of the OKP7 and wants one, it's unfortunate to hear the manufacture is going through legal trouble over it currently (best of my investigations into it)
Video is good. Also, (not sure if this is available for you) but you should look into going prone in irl in game. The moment I start taking shots from somewhere I don't know I hit the deck. I'd say your chances of getting hit decrease about 30-40%
The lasers don't co-witness reliably with all the optics which can be confusing. IRL there would be a certain distance that they would, but be off closer and farther away. This doesn't seem to be the case in game though.
Its a close tie between the spectr and pso1. Spectr has more versatility but the pso1 can go on a lot of guns without upgrades and is stabilized. Plus it's much easier to get the stash pso than the stash spectr
@SynthetitardVR Yeah, I feel the same, but the M4 is really nice because of it not being as loud, quicker to reload and a bit more comfortable to use imo
My absolute favorite weapon and attachments combo has to be the SVD with a supressor, Flashlight and no scope. Maybe the Kobra, but anything magnified is sadly overkill for the quest version. Despite being incredibly *löng* and only having 10rnd mags, its a beast in CQB amd carried me through the castle and everything prior with ease. Still, doesn't hurt to have the 9x18 smg as a backup😅
You forgot to mention to Spectr B's Hybrid sight on the top of it. I can't tell if it was just too little of an addon you didn't care to mention it, or if you just forgot or didn't know.
@@revix9465 First you atach it to the gun on the apropriate mount, Then you grab the grip with your main and the barrel with the offhand. Now you activate it by pressing the button on the offhand while holding the barrel
It entirely depends on your preferences, the red dots are great for snappy aim and good fov, the 7x35 is great for long range but should be paired with a laser for cqc, and the spectr is a good in between

Holy shit that sound effect as the helmet scraped against the inside of the barrel in the intro. Outstanding attention to detail.
Hate to break it to you, but that was definitely unintentional lol

an obrez found in stashes like the hunting DB's would be great as a close range "fuck you and your sight" weapon

What about any effect of sub-sonic ammo with suppresors?
I would assume it just further reduces the sound made by the shot. Hard to say as I couldn't find any hard numbers.
