What a calming video to watch. I love how unhurried and intentional you decorate. And such a beautiful, beautiful nativity set. What a homage to the real meaning of Christmas. I couldn't help but laugh at your struggle with the holly bushes.😂😂 It all looks lovely (and I covet that long skirt.... beautiful!) Blessings to you and yours.
I am so happy to share my beloved Nativity set with you! Even my sons told me how much they liked this arrangement this year. It's such a treasure for our family ❤️
I was so glad to see a Christmas video. I absolutely love your Oh Holy Night sign. It is such a work of art. I have a huge sign that I have wanted to do something with. You gave me a great idea!!! I love your stories and your decor. ❤❤❤
What a precious gift, one to last a lifetime. Oh Holy Night is one of my favorites as well. check out David Phelps singing it. Your nativity scene is beautiful, i do like the natural elements, even tho painful. So good to see you again. looking forward to more from you. God Bless you and your family❤💚🙏
@@melaniebreuer6525My sister and I LOVE the David Phelps version of Oh Holy Night! We listen to it every year and squall like little babies every single time he hits the high note!! It’s so anointed and pure!! 🎄✝️
I have my grandmother’s ceramic nativity that I put up every year (without fail) as well. It’s my most valued Christmas decor. I display mine on white rabbit fur. I can’t tell you how many times the angel’s wings have been glued back on. I think it adds character. I love your wire hanging idea for your wreaths. I have those same doors. I’ll have to try that trick. Thanks for the great tips in your vids Mrs. Marla. Merry Christmas 🎄❤
Becky, I'm happy to know you have a treasured Nativity Set! I'm sure it brings warm memories of your grandmother every year! And yes, the cracks tell a story of life lived over decades in a real home. I'm ok with that! I hope the wire trick holds your wreaths! 😃 💕
Marla your set is phenomenal! I have one that my step mom made years ago. It is huge and has a ton of pieces. Her children did not want it. I snatched it up. It is an heirloom piece. She cleaned and hand painted every single ceramic piece.
Marla I just love your videos. They are so calming. I also have a nativity that I put up that my son and his first wife gave me one year for Christmas. That is usually the first thing I put up. It means the world to me because that is what Christmas is all about. Thank you for sharing your life with us. God bless you and your family and a very Merry Christmas!❤️🎄
Kathryn, this Nativity is a foundational fixture of Christmas at my house. My kids have never had Christmas without it! Thank you for your sweet words and encouragement! 😊 💕
Marla, Loved hearing about your special Nativity. I was so happy to find a similar set at the thrift store! It is missing one wise man and I added an angel. I love it!
Oh, how exciting to find a set out in the wild!! Someone else commented here that they would love to have an older set that Sears used to sell. The thrill of the hunt ... it's why we thrift!
Yes, we had Shasta sodas down here in Alabama in the 70s. I wonder if they came from Wisconsin?? It was a treat to have sodas of any kind. My momma would buy canned Shasta sodas for us to have on our camping trips. Great memories ... and likely the source of my pet word! 😆 🤣 😂
All my life I wanted a beautiful nativity scene like the ones they used to sell at Sears. They were beautiful to me and so colorful. I thought I couldn’t afford it back then. I sure can’t now….upwards of 200.00!
🙀 OH MY! Let's pray that you'll come across a set at a thrift store or yard sale 🙏 My mother painted out a colorful set just like mine for my sister 💕 and it is beautiful
Love your nativity set and the story behind it .
Thanks so much! 😃 Happy to share! ✨️

What a beautiful Nativity set! And what makes it even Lovelier is that it's from your mom❤
There aren't too many earthly things that I'd cry over, if it were to be gone, but that's on my short list of things that mean the most ❤️
Love your nativity!
Thank you, Rebecca! 😃 ✨️
I’m so glad you’re back. I have missed you and seeing what you’re up to!

Miss you!!! So beautiful!

Shasta is a brand of flavored sodas where I live in WI. I usually say sugar myself. Wonderful idea for a shower theme. It is so pretty.

You could put the holly berries in the glass lamps
Wow! I've never put anything in the lamps before! It took fresh eyes like yours to see a whole new idea! 😍 Thanks, Sharen! 💕
I have a friend named Shasta. She was named after the Shast Daisy, I believe.
I didn't know there was a daisy! I know the mountain and the soda 😄
36 years sweetie
Thanks 😄 I can't do "air math" 🤣
I came up with 36 years married
😀
😄 thanks, Joy! Sounds right! ❤️
