Hey John, thanks for making these videos. I’m learning German and I have tried Memrise and Pimsleur and like them both but haven’t gotten the chance to use Rosetta Stone. I believe I’m more of a visual learner so I would want to try RosettaStone to figure out what suits me best. Thank you again for the content
Yesterday I went to the Memrise app for the first time in well over a year. I was pleasantly surprised to see they'd made improvements to the user interface and improved the overall look of the app. It also looks like they've added some nice new features. I'm definitely tempted to go back on their paid subscription plan, and if I do, I'll use your link. I really appreciate how helpful your channel is, and how much work you clearly put into it. 🙏🏽
I found myself binge watching a lot of your videos since I wanna take up french again. I studied it in school for 4 years and got to a point where I could easily understand the language even if I do not know how to respond to it. I do not have a lot of time like I did when I was younger but I really just want to get to a point where I can have full on conversations while I'm like quite young which I'm 22 btw And I feel like life will get harder um as I age so yeah in terms of time and memory
Tried both. For me nothing beats Memrise for memorising vocabulary, but Rosetta Stone is better for getting a feel for a language. It is a toss-up, but in a pinch I'd pick Memrise.
No doubt Rosetta Stone is good, but I quite like Memrize and would use it as a supplementary course with whatever main language app. PS. I like the new outro tune :)
I would probably go with Rosetta Stone, but still testing out other programs like Pimsleur, which seems pretty awesome, and I like the idea of additionally supplementing with LingQ.
I’m almost at A2 level in duolingo(super), and at this level, which app(s) you might say would supplement this the most?I’d use your link/coupon if I end up buying their subscription either way

My pick between the two would be Rosetta Stone but I think both have great things to offer!
Never knew about Rosetta stories, that’s a good feature
Helpful comparison of these apps. Thanks!

You do the best videos.
Thanks for the comparison. Both look like great resources to supplement conversational apps.
Yep, exactly. Thanks for watching!
I would still go with Rosetta Stone. The speech software is something you can't beat!
Agree! Thanks for watching and sharing!

Great comparison. I’d go with Rosetta Stone. I’m in the process of learning French!

It does get slightly harder as you get older, but it's like anything else, just need to put in the time. Good luck!
Tried both. For me nothing beats Memrise for memorising vocabulary, but Rosetta Stone is better for getting a feel for a language. It is a toss-up, but in a pinch I'd pick Memrise.
Thanks for watching!
thank you so much for the thoughtful insight for us!
Rosetta Stone seems like the better fit for me which has a lifetime subscription which intrigues me
Thanks for sharing!
great Memrise vs Rosetta Stone Review
Thanks for this video! I prefer Memrise between the two.
Memrise is a new one for me - thanks!
Rossetta for the win!
Rosetta seems much more robust. They’ve got my vote for learning Spanish and French 😁
Great review. Thanks!
I would probably utilize Rosetta Stone because their lifetime subscription option for all of their languages.
Good call :)
Memrise likes to throw some curveball sentences in there. In the beginner basics there’s ¿tienes condones? “Do you have condoms”😂
No doubt Rosetta Stone is good, but I quite like Memrize and would use it as a supplementary course with whatever main language app.
PS. I like the new outro tune :)
Exactly, Memrise is a great supplement. and great attention to detail there :)
I would probably go with Rosetta Stone, but still testing out other programs like Pimsleur, which seems pretty awesome, and I like the idea of additionally supplementing with LingQ.
Always best to combine apps. Thanks for watching!
The Rosetta Stone seems like the better fit. I guess there's a reason they've been around for decades.
They do seem to know what they're doing at this point
I enjoy Memrise.
Thanks for the great review.
Thank you too!
It’s nice to have a free trial before you dive in and spend some money!
I used memrise before.

Check out Rocket Languages and Pimsleur. Their audio lessons pair nicely with the short, gamey Duo lessons
