Jagex gets to run the sand casino scot free because UK regulation of online gambling is horrible when it's obfuscated by video games and virtual currency. More people need to push for online gambling in video games like the sand casino (and RS3's treasure hunter) to be heavily regulated or banned by the UK government. The way it is right now, Jagex and similar companies are taking money from the young and vulnerable to feed not just themselves but immoral, sociopathic criminals too. Wouldn't surprise me if organized crime rings had a major stake in things like the Duel Arena too.
If you really want to make a change, contact the UK Gambling Commission and inform them of what's really going on in the underground market of OSRS. Don't hide any secrets from them. Maybe start a petition, or boost other petitions against this kind of gambling. Talk to your local MPs about this.
The only way to stop this is to make it illegal. Jagex has absolutely zero financial incentive to stop what's happening in the Duel arena, or to stop their predatory MTX behaviors on RS3.
Kemp i love you, and what youre trying to do here (I think) is essentially investigative journalism which is awesome, respectable and probably necessary. But you're presenting what you've found as a sensationalized conspiracy that makes it extremely hard to take seriously. If you are trying to publish a piece of investigative journalism, you gotta know that your presentation is fundamentally undermining what youre trying to achieve.

Had a couple people in my clan, in it for literally 2-3 years scam 2tbows and ely from our leader (all different times) and now they've all basically quit the game. Imagine ruining a long standing friendship for one month rent. U.S based players.

I recently started an ironman account to avoid everything mentioned in this video and it's given me a new lease on life as far as playing RuneScape goes. The feeling can only be compared to when I first made my account in 2007 and got to experience the game for the first time again. I'd highly recommend trying ironman mode if you're reading this. Yes it's slow and tedious but it makes you learn more about the game and enjoy it much deeper. Look up Oziris Ironman guide.

make sure you have 2 step auth, as even with taking a year long break sometime in-between then my hc ironman account was targeted and they drop traded 200m leaving nothing

If staking was removed I’d probably come back to the game, it is my own decision to go to the sand casino but for someone with my mentally growing up playing this game it’s ruined my experience since I hit max Meele stats
interestingly in the early days of the Wild West of the United States, most robbers and criminals were armed much more heavily than the local sheriffs, it was not uncommon for an entire police department to only have 2 revolvers and a couple long rifles, (plus a handful of derringers) meanwhile the bandits could afford the highest quality firearms of the time. and in larger quantities (plus they probably kept the good guns they stole too)

Imagine being framed in a game. This world is F'ed up. it makes a game look like a super life ending thing
I mean it makes sense. No one is working in a tech company without being somewhat tech savvy. Everyone would know that if you were to abuse mod privilages, it could easily be electronically traced back to the account causing the abuse. Hence, if you wanted to abuse mod privilages, you wouldn't use your own account. Also, if it became wide spread news that mods were abusing their position, jagex would most likely lose consumer trust, and so their stock would fall. It benefits jagex immensely to point a finger at the obvious culprit (scapegoat), than spend months trying to find the actual "criminal", if it would even be possible to find them. Resources, time, and not a guaranteed positive outcome? Or pointing the finger, firing an employee, and moving on.
I'm not trying to determine what's true or false, merely pointing out that it could be reasonable that the employee was framed.

hey kemp, honestly one of the best and most straight forward video I've heard in a while, I truly hope it opens some eyes at jagex that MUCH the playerbase feels this way and its getting brought up more and more... Because they need a gridlock in the system to fool players about how much gp is in the game. Imagine if a mod just spawns a trill every week but no one sees bots. Also the bots bring down the prices of certain goods making gp more valuable

Which scientifically spoken is a good sample of the opinion of the people, so basically runescape is a confirmation of the fact that the real world is also as corrupt as the runescape world is... I also recommend appealing to discord as in the past I’ve seen them responsive to claims I’ve had against offensive people or hate groups. I did some digging into RWT websites and lots follow a similar pattern to money laundering operations.
Most are incorporated as a LLP based from a remote office in Scotland. The partners are usually two LLCs incorporated in Delaware or Wisconsin.
This loophole keeps the accounts from the UK company private, which masks earnings. The US based LLCs are effectively anonymous. No doubt funds being piped into a Seychelles bank account or similar. Probably further shell companies up the chain, but the trail goes cold here.
Furthermore, the income taxes from both the UK and US companies are effectively zero. The taxes should be incurred in the country where the director is resident, so this exists to protect what is akin to double international taxation. The RWTers exploit this to avoid tax.

lol I've been thinking about it but its a little hard to give up on my 2100 total level main, but once i max i might go for the ironman dream and use my main as a way to pay for membership :)
@@klynton2791 yeah same here, just hit 2201 total and i havent even started slaying seriously, so I still have lots of motivation to work on my main. And it would be pretty hard to keep up both accounts with bonds with small bank atm.
Can we get a poll on removing the duel arena? Seems like a good, easy idea. If they really wanted to keep gambling in the game, add low stakes gambling to the Games Room.

A poll would never get the duel arena removed. There’s thousands of corrupt players and even regular players who will fight to keep the duel arena up, and the ones who are against it would not be the majority.
I wouldn't even vote for it to be removed and I very rarely go by.
Rework I'd be down for, but fully remove would be almost repeating what killed the game last time.
They would just script their bots to go vote against it.

A game I love so much and I’m scared for its future. There seems to be a conspiracy, you’re definitely onto something. It’s almost like Jmods ARE selling gold or are in the loop about something very illegal and no one wants to say anything. Very good video and extremely informative. Great job.
Imagine if they just deleted the DA people might actually have to play the game legit and it would remove so much RWT.
EDIT: The end of the video sums up how I feel about this game, updates come way to late a prime example is how the economy was hurt for so long by revs and they finally are addressing it now when its way to late.
The thing is that i love the way that duel arena is taking money out of the community. If not duel arena they might just change the tax to the grand exchange.

@@demonvictim Or, instead of taxing the GE they could up the Duel Arena tax to something like 30%. Would reduce RWT while still keeping the gold sink in game
@@demonvictim I would gladly pay a GE tax if it meant the duel arena was deleted. It's nothing but a toxic cesspool of scammers and RWTers. The stake tax is the only positive thing to come from it but it should be much harsher. It might have removed trillions of GP but I'm certain more gold got RWTed than GP left the game.
