Got lost in the vents and ended up in the vent near LCZ elevator... Kinda scared and don't know what to do.

Pretty simple. If you passed the path to 914's vent, you wind up at LCZ elevator vent. To get to 914 vent from there, you go backwards and the first time the path forks to the left you take it and it's a straight path to 914, no detours.

So for maps, overall the layout of the site is pretty simple. If you really need one then there are a couple you can get for LCZ, CDC, and EZ.
As for editing software, I don't remember it off the top of my head but I'll tell you when I can check.

Unfortunately, as a class d you're basically screwed when the lights go out. Mtf, sd, and goc have night vision and you don't. Only way to see is to buy a flashlight which you can get at the vendor in FP cafeteria near the CDCZ.

The thing is that since you are GOC, you are allowed to go into engineering, but if you just use the L-3 keycard, you can't, the department gives you just a little higher clearance.

Gather materials that can be found around the CDC, then go to the crafting guy that's opposite of the testing lines area in the CDC. You'll go down a little hall across from the black-market dealer and turn left. They should be a NPC you can click on.
