It was about time we made some changes in here. If you’ve been following along in our office makeover journey, you’ve seen us makeover about every space in here. When we originally got this studio, this filming room was one of the first spaces we quickly whipped up so that we could start making videos. We then shifted focus to other spaces and left the filming studio on the back burner for a while. It’s not to say that this space is bad, but it was pretty plain and we always found ourselves not wanting to actually film there because it was too bland for the camera. So we officially decided it was time to spice it up.

The shelf is awesome and a total hit but the collage wall is a miss for me.
Agree, I'm sooo confused by this collage.
i don’t hate the idea of the collage but i’m confused as to why they chose a giant black/grey/silver background for a space surrounded by warm tones????
I think it needs more added to it, imo.
@@taramoran7864 yeah the black and white print feels really off to me and I don’t get it
@@thischarminglife5393 I personally don't think the black and white print collage goes with any of the esthetics of the studio. It clashes with everything including the patches they put on. They would have been better off just leaving the wall blank and adding to it that way or pant it a different color and then add on top.
Not a big fan of the collage wall but the shelf is really cool :)
Same! The shelf is great, and I have to admit everything came together much better than I feared, but I'm just not a fan of the whole "random geometric shapes, weird colours and chaotic textures" aesthetic. It reminds me of 90s Nickelodeon cartoons (but make it boring) and I wasn't a fan of that even as a 90s kid.
Still, kudos for pulling a giant project like this off and taking risks! I always think that's better than playing everything safe, even when I don't like the outcome so much...
The door looks awesome btw!
The shelf is such a statement, it feels like the other side of the wall would look better if it were minimal. Honestly the collage is more hodgepodge and less abstract
@Jj K I don't think that would bug me if the centered the shelves on the wall. They look weird. being off to the side so close to the garage doors.
I rarely strongly dislike their designs but I hate it!
I think the yellow squares are what throws me off about it. They’re so out of place compared to everything else
Re: collage wall hating, I think it makes sense as a place to start, and continually paste more prints/wallpaper on it over time to create the aesthetic of a venue that never takes down their posters or a brick wall that’s been painted and repainted with different ads. That said, it looks a little undercooked for now.
I agree completely. It's a good start, but it feels like it needs a bit more cohesion and curating to get the best impact.
It will look so cool if they keep adding more layers and colors and textures! Then it’d be a lot of fun but rn it definitely looks incomplete
I love this comment, because that’s exactly what I was thinking! It has potential if they keep adding to it
Really love the collage wall and the shelf as they are. But your idea - nice. Surely having the wall look more "used" one day will add to it. Also really like they went out of their way and tried a style unusual for them 👏
(PS: Also really glad the graphic/cube design shown at roughly 5:00 wasn't used. Reminded me way too much of the Holocaust memorial in Berlin.)
I agree. I do like it at the moment but I think if they just added like a couple empty ornate frames that show the print through them (like the one they said Rochele found in a parking lot) and a couple with some fun vintage pics it would give that eclectic vibe that I think they're going for!
I can’t wait for the “we’re redoing the collage wall” video 😂 but I love the shelves!
hahaha me too
I think everyone is on the same page on that! Love the shelves, the wall next to it doesn’t need to be complicated because the shelves are already busy. I would paint it all one solid color like sea foam/ mint green
The collage just needs more colors and textures and layers and it will look so cool! I really like the idea of it and could be a good way to utilize left over scrap pieces of wallpaper and whatnot
Yeah like as they do projects just add onto it with the scraps haha! That would be so cool!!!
yeah i agree! it's a cool concept, and i think adding to the wall as time goes on is going to give them that back alley feel they were going for. like if they did a little sheet of postage stickers that were tagged on and half ripped some off it'd be like real graffiti hahaha
I think a fabric swatces will look really really great
Can we get a little commotion for the door? Kelsey's right, it's the sleeper hit of the makeover. 😍
Totally, it turned out quite beautiful.
Agreed, In💜w/ the 🚪.
LOVED the vintage door handle!
The DOOR! HANDLE! THOUGH!
Ya it looks cool, but it says pull and you can’t pull the door, it’s confusing.
The collage wall, not it, but the rest! I'm in love
Its better with the other stuff on top of it. But I'm staring at it thinking it's not aligned the right way.
@@maggierobertson2962 it’s most definitely not
This is the first major fail for me too. The collage wall is not cute at all.
Not totally loving the collage wall, but those shelves are stunning!
I wish the shelves upright beams were a bit more random as opposed to just straight up, would have looked cooler. I second you on the collage wall 👎🏼
Yeah NOT a fan of that collage! Shelves could do with more stuff on them, they look a little empty
Collage wall not my fave! Shelving is beautiful 😍!
I’m always amazed at how you’re dressed while doing projects. In my world, I tie my hair back, put on old work clothes, and get to it.
@Scarlett - not sure if that part is really real.
The shelf wall is PERFECTION!! I love it so much there are no words. I'm not feeling the collage wall as much but that's just personal preference, I think? I was here for it until the shelf wall started coming together and I think it just outshines the collage wall perhaps? They don't seem to be the same style. But the shelf wall, door/awesome handle, and pendant lights are gorgeous 😍!
One thing to consider is that they are separate filming backdrops, so it might me nice to have two different styles to pick from. When making backdrops, it’s nice to have variety!
I agree. Love it but the skill level in the shelves compared to the collage is way up there.
The lights look so beautiful now after the tint Kelsey gave them.
I thought so too! I thought back to the video where it was first done and I was like OOF what about the streaking and splotching, though?? But they came out GREAT! I love them :3
Yes they look so good! I think the difference is that she didn't use water this time (she hinted in that previous video that she wouldn't use water the next time she tried it)
@@helloemilymills Ah! Good to know! I have several vases & glassware I have laying about that I wanted to do this to but after seeing how streaky the finished product was after DIY-ers of this caliber tried it I decided it wasn't for me. I bet you're 100% right- the water was nixed from this bit's.
These girls made everyone’s “im redoing my room” obsession into their career and just keep redoing their own office as their job, and we’re all loving this
Kelsey's dorky little dance after the shelf went up made me so happy😂😂 I felt that!
Every time I see Kelsey about to do painting, I think to myself "bet it's gonna be a poopy kind of color" and it always is 😂
The shelves are a show stopper! Obsessed with the lights! Love the door! Can't wait for the episode where you redo the collage wall!
haha! came here to say the same thing
Hahahah savage but true 🤣🤣
Same though lol few bad but it’s the blue wall all over again
@@hailey5672 I actually loved the colour of the blue wall but it didn’t go with the rest of the office. In a different setting it could have been a vibe
Those shelves are incredible and so brilliant to have their own ladder.
That shelf is amazing!!!! And I love the styling/storage on it, pretty AND functional!
In comparison to the shelf, the collage wall does not look very good. I love the idea behind it but I think the big gray peices look very low quality, like they were printed from a bad copier. I love the idea but I think it needs a better/different execution.
Love you creative people!
Right?! They look like the printer ran out of ink in all but 3 panels or so. I can't figure out if that is on purpose or not, but I lowkey hate it :(
exactly. the colors lowkey clash too 😭
I like the concept of the collage wall, but i think it would have been more successful if it didnt have those xerox lines that came through on the black/white print. If those werent there i think the collage would have been a hit! Love the yellow check boxes and stuff. Its def giving me graphic collage vibes! I think i have a page like that in my art journal too. Gj!
yeah i’m surprised it wasn’t at least mentioned in the video- it didn’t look like that was the plan
Giving me printing off pics from the internet in 1998 vibes
The printer shop definitely shouldn’t have even sent those out the door. It looks like they either ran out of toner or the drum cartridge needs to be replaced.
I feel like it was on purpose, or they would have said something, or gone in a different direction if it was an Unfixable printer mistake. They’ve changed their whole plan over way less in the past!
Either way I’d be curious to see their original draw up/inspiration for the collage wall.
They're engineering prints, it's a way to do big prints at a low cost because it's not meant to be high resolution
I am already prepared to see next retake on the collage. But the shelf looked great!!!
coulnd't have said it better :D
You needed all the shelves for storage, so you went out and bought junk to put on them.. what is wrong with this picture?
I love the shelves as a backdrop they look great. Not crazy about the collage wall ,kind of comes off Metallica, be interested to see how it plays off as a back drop
It's weird not seeing those shelves that have been in your background for years! But this looks amazing, I don't even miss them
Why is nobody talking bout how cool Kelsey’s first outfit was 😍
The door and shelving unit are sooo beautiful! Unfortunately, that college wall really missed the mark- But, hey, will make a great re-do project one day!
It would be cool to have everyone bring in something to add to the collage wall. Could be a nice meet and greet with the rest of the team as well.
That’s an awesome idea!!
I love the shelves, and the door is so cool. I was intrigued when you were talking about a collage wall, but I really feel it fell very flat, very flat. The wrinkles are so distracting and they are so abundant throughout the entire piece. I think the wallpaper paste was too strong of an adhesive for the type of paper you were using you probably would have just been better off using modge podge. I think it's the blue wall all over again. But the lights came out great. Still loved the watching the entire video, and love you guys.
It is the blue wall all over again. They tried to be bold and go outside of their style which does look cool, but it doesn't fit the space. Same with the blue wall, cool look and beautiful colour but didn't fit the rest of the space.
@@skylarsa what was the blue wall in? I’m catching up with their content ahaha
I feel like the collage wall is something you add to and build upon over time. The loft looks incredible and then new shelves really show off the height of the loft.
I like how you have been pushing the boundaries of the typically "aesthetic" design. I didn't completely understand where the wall art idea came from but I think it is awesome you show a different way of thinking when it comes to design, can't be doing wood and beige forever even though they look good :) Thank you for the inspiration!
I love everything but not the grey wall. But maybe with all the lighting will become more warmer. That's it, is too cold, and it takes out of the sight the amazing door. But important is to be suited for your work and you to feel excitement again.
That "here comes the boy" remix was beautiful lol
should I make it a tiktok sound
@@TheSorryGirls PLEASE. Now I need it🤣❤️
A rug that would match that neon yellow painted check over the mural would be such a fun pop (even though we wouldn't see it on camera lol) The shelves are amazing!
omg would be so cute
I like everything about this makeover! You were absolutely right, the old space felt boring and I enjoy it so much that you are making more bold choices lately. Keep going! Also the gallery wall looks like a giant mood board to me. You could even add new colors and textures over the time. So cool!
the subtitles are reading Loft Vibes as Law Files and from now on that's the new name of this show to me haha. "A team of talented people transform their DIY office into a new age law firm, where the law of attraction reigns supreme, x files meets legally blonde meets 60 minute makeover..." honestly id watch that show haha.
wait but @netflix are you catching this?
Came into the comments to see everyone's thoughts on the collage wall and it did not dissapoint lol. I was a little confused by it I guess and thought I just flat out hated it, but after reading other comments I def agree that it could get better over time if you keep adding to it. If that's not the plan, I hope you decide to do something else to it because it (as others mentioned) gets majorly outshined by these beautiful impressive shelves! Everything else is gorgeous as ever, so surprised by the lamp shade make-over 😍
It was trippy when Rachael saw the wall for the first time. Because of the wide angle lens, the wall’s size didn’t look that big compared to Rachael’s height. But as soon as she went up to it to give it a “hug”, the scale balanced out and you could see just how BIG it was! I think the whole makeover added so much personality and boldness to the space- amazing work!
omg yesss!!!! ABSOLUTELY LOVING THE FRESH REDO!! i see a lot of comments saying that they don’t like the collage wall but at the end of the day, YOU DO WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL INSPIRED! I personally love the uniqueness of the collage and it really makes you think 💛 forget what they say, you all did an incredible job! and as long as you guys love it that’s all that matters!!! 💛💛💛
I agree! Also, i think the collage wall works really well as a video backdrop - it is not supposed to be something most of us would want in their living room
I love that the Sorry Girls always push style aesthetics, which genuinely inspires me. Sure, the collage might not be everyone’s taste, but I loveeee that it is different and I think it will look even more awesome as a backdrop when it is slightly blurred and the splashes or color/textures really pop! Styling shelves is the bane of my existence, so I can’t believe you gals tackled a 12 foot shelf 😂 I love how it turned out!
I actually thought they should push the design of the collage further. It's needs more color and texture and I think putting it behind some of the shelves was a good idea but would have been better if they cut it to fit within the shelves so you couldn't see the papers raw edges behind them. If that makes sense. It would have been more sleek.
I agree with you. They’re risk takers and I respect that so much!
I love the shelf wall.. but honestly I'm not a fan of the collage, it doesnt compliment the shelves and doesnt really go well with its peices
Love this ! And still have nothing but respect for the old set up! We need to give credit where it’s due to the sorry girls , they were able to navigate seamlessly through a pandemic and STILL gave us makeover after makeover. Now they’re just able to come back and fine tune it all and I’m so here for it
You guys should do a whole final touches video or series! I know a lot of the time is just the sprinkle on top of a DIY or reno, but I feel like styling shelves, tables, mantles, etc is like 90% of what I do in my home and it's something you can always re-do without spending really any money. I am always looking for inspo. Would love to know how/why/where you place stuff to make it look put together!
Dutch books?! Love it!
So good to see Kelsey and becky working to gether
Thought I wasn’t gonna like the collage but idk I think it’s sick! And also just cool to see you guys try something different than the norm! My cats a big fan too apparently as she jumped on me for snuggles right when I hit play 💕☺️
omg send pics
@@TheSorryGirls I second this request. 😻
I love the makeover especially the shelves! I like the collage and I think each member should find a print they like and put it on the wall, so there is a piece of everyone on the wall!
The new lady is so sweet and genuine 😍
honestly that mural is straight up not the vibe haha
Yeeah, I grt the idea but it just didn't work irl
I think it would be cool to add a little something to the collage wall every so often so it’s almost like a scrapbook to commemorate all the stuff you do and achieve
Love that shelf and the door makeover!!😍 The collage wall looks a little disjointed from the whole design, especially next to that beautiful shelf. A graffiti that says “the sorry girls” in your colour palette or if the collage tied in with the other mural in the office in terms of colour would be sick!
The collage is wonderful - the lights and plant holders add great dimensionality, and the colourful patches provide interest without overwhelming. That whole space turned out amazing!!
Kelsey's dance is literally how I celebrate exciting things hahaha
I love the collage wall! The two spaces next to each other make total sense since the goal was to get two completely different backdrops for videos
Kelsey" it'll be up like... forever!" ( 12 months later.... New directions!)
Great job everyone, even the one trying to hide!
Becky's mini freak out before lifting the shelf is such a mood! :)
The makeover in general is *chefs kiss* but I couldn’t help dying over the collage wall. The architectural prints are moreso used for blueprints where it’s mostly white background and thinner black lines - it replicates poorly especially in denser areas. It’s also why the ink rubbed off when it was being applied since it’s considered a quick print and it doesnt take as much time to fuse the toner to the paper. Maybe painting in between the seams or where it shows unevenness might help blend it in?
I wasn't sure about the actual b&w background because you can see where it begins and ends but when you added the other decorative items and papers it made it look so much better. It inspired me. Love the shelves and the door looks so good. I really liked this makeover.
I think I might be in the minority but I really like the collage wall, I feel like it balances out that massive shelf really well. I think the whole space feels really cool. :)
Idk why many didn’t like the collage wall, but I think it’s unique, contemporary and very art gallery kinda look am really into it, and the magnificent shelf and that metal look door everything is a hit for me. Absolutely loved it. Amazing work girls!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new studio set! I honestly was getting a little bit bored for the past 1-2years and not as much as inspired I used to get from my sorry-girls. And I 100% understand that it’s bc of the whole pandemic situation we all have been. But Look at you guys. It’s the glorious resurrection. I’m so proud of you girls! so thankful for this new remodeling for me to stick with my OG youtube HGTV like our good old days.
I, for one, really like the collage wall. I would add more organic shapes to it, maybe lettering, but I think it's super original and compliments the room. However, I think the blank wall (the one with the arch door) also needs a mural!
The space looks great, I Love the door! The shelves are stunning as well. The grey of the collage wall, stuck in between the warmth of the door and the shelves seems off and the yellow squares look like a craft project against the sleekness of the wall. I'd hang another print over them or perhaps cut some symmetrical squares from yellow paper to hang over them.
I actually love the gallery wall, it's not too busy and really balances out the shelf unit! It's such a cool style too (different than usual but still fits so well with the metallic door and window wall) :)
The ladder and the colour of the shelves is totally a tribute to the original loft 😍
After reading some of the comments, I decided to skip to the end of the video to see the collage with fresh eyes before watching the process of it, and I think a lot of people are wrapped up in the process. It’s very unique and a cool accent!!
Well apparently I am in the minority but I LOVE the collage wall! I totally see your vision. Background options! That was the entire point!!! A lil moody, a lil edgy, very artsy.
I am surprised by how many people are commenting on the collage wall- I love it & really haven't seen anything like it before. I love how creative the team is when everyone is working together!
19:17 The way that the drape on her kimono top fell is so satisfying.
Just want to say how admirable it's the work of the editors, the cinematic feeling
Something about the production quality of this video is like stepped up and I'm here for it! Who needs HGTV when you've got TSG!
Late to comment but am I the only one that seriously loves everything including the collage wall ❤🔥
The song that plays during the before & after a at the end SLAPS! damn! Made it look/feel even cooler
The "Lumber song" made me smile. 😄 It's cover to "Here comes the boy".
Becky wearing the same fit in the interviews as Kelsey during the build. Cute!
I love how the lights turned out!
Love the ideas I keep seeing about constantly adding to the collage wall over time to create like a really layered feeling that also tells the story of places you guys have been, projects you've done, etc...
The collage wall is really nice I think it adds so much interest and a bit more change to the space with all the other things
Some day, I'll have my own studio that I'll be able to makeover to my heart's content. Thanks for posting this
I love the collage wall idea, and it's a super cool base that's either not too distracting as a background, or can be added onto further!
I love 30+ minute Sorry Girl videos!!
Shelving unit *chef kiss*. I love the rolling ladder as well. It's amazing! The collage wall... I love the idea of it and having these 2 different backgrounds but I think it needs a little polishing off (imo). I dislike that you can see where each piece of paper starts/ends (where you can see white horizontal lines across the wall). What if paint in a similar grey color was splattered on the wall to blend those sections (where the tops and bottoms of each piece of paper meet) together? I feel like then, the wall texture will look like one piece and not multiple pieces placed together.
As always, I really enjoy the content your team creates and look forward to watching every video!
yeah, this was a total smash out of the park y'all! the collage, the shelf, the door - it all works for me. i think my favorite little deet is the disco ball in its own little shelf space; it catches my eye in the most charming way every time and balances some of the more weighted spaces. just a perfect choice!!!! gosh, you guys remind me all the time why i've loved following y'all for years.
Kelsi is so funny!
From all the comments, I thought I wouldn't like the collage wall, but I freaking love it!!! It's not something I'd put in my space, but damn it looks good in yours! Also, everything else is *chef's kiss
Ahhhh! I love everything! The collage wall may not be a hit for most, but I think it’s so different and eclectic that I believe it’s a step to a new design style. Thank you for stepping outside the comfortable box and being creative! I also like how you guys were able to transition that funky/edgy look to a more natural wooden shelf area. This studio is like a little representation of each you: Kelsey the door, Racheal the collage wall, and Becky the wooden shelf. They all have their differences, but you guys make them cohesive. Y’all are inspiring and I appreciate your creative works. Keep it up!
I've been so curious since that teaser you uploaded on IG!
I like the collage wall. When I saw it online I was sceptical but seeing it as part of the whole space I dig it. I also like the idea of adding more prints and textures to it over time. It’s the sorry girls they’re constantly evolving and trying new things, sometimes you’re not gonna dig it at first, sometimes they have to redo it but that’s what you get when you take a design leap 🙌🏾
The door is 10/10!! Way to go Kelsey!
I read a few comments before watching the video and when the collage wall started I thought, “Oh I see what they mean.” But once the painted areas were
Added it felt like it came together. I love the whole area….full of life and I’m sure will be fun to film in this area.

The outcome of this reno looks great TSG!
Kelsey at 12:50 was the cutest thing. I've never seen someone so excited over shelves 😅
Love the new wall and the huge bookcase- but my fav spot is the new lights and that door with the VINTAGE handle !!! Always so much fun to watch
The thing with architectural paper is if not printed in the best quality the printer lines show up, there's different paper qualities too, maybe a better quality A0 paper will make the mural look better, better print quality as well. The idea behind it is great, I kinda like the mural print in itself as well but yeah try a better quality architectural paper next time.
Wow those pendant lights turned out so amazing! Also love the massive shelf. Not so sure about the collage wall, but in an industrial type space it kind of works.
Kudos to your videographer and editor taking your videos to the next level. Nice!!!
One of your bestest lofty designs yet❣
The giant shelving is awesome but that collage wall is not the look. It’s a little to eclectic.
I think the collage wall is so fun, I love it so much !!! It’s something that’s interesting to look at! The shelves are very grand! Great job sorry girls!
My favourite part about any SG video is when Danny shows up.
I love the departure (?) from your usual aesthetic. Such a deep growth of style with the collage wall
I am in love with the huge shelving unit on the wall!! Is wood not as insanely expensive in Canada as it is in the US right now? It has gotten so ridiculous here that most of the time building your own furniture isn't even cost effective anymore & it breaks my heart😭!
yah lumber is getting priceyyyy but if you source it right, it was still cheaper than getting it custom made for the space!! :) plus we live the DIY lifeee
@@TheSorryGirls that's awesome! I prefer the DIY life, too😊. I was just genuinely curious if that was another thing messed up with the US economy or if it was worldwide? Thanks for the response! I LOVE you guys❤️
@@TheSorryGirls would you be willing to share your cost? It would be really cool to get some of the cost breakdown for future projects for our own diys 😊
I want to add an empty oversized decorative frame to the “mural” wall. Love then3D elements of it, so unique!
That door handle is so sick! I love that it has such a cool history
Everyone is nuts. The collage wall is awesome!
