It has high strength steel, 360 degree camera, blind spot monitor, heated orvm, rear cross traffic alert, digital key, premium leather layering on dashboard, panoramic sunroof. CVT is the smoothest among all other available transmissions.

Yes, you are right. Just a week ago we came to know that both kushaq and taigun got five star rating in gncap crash testing.
I am not an enthusiastic driver. I enjoy driving sensibly so I am fine with Cvt engine. I always get 100 drive score (ISmart app) in all of my journeys.
Both kushaq and taigun are short in height. Being a 6feet tall person I feel myself comfortable in the driver seat of astor.

Good car. Frankly this was made for the European and Australian market and this car is not really new it has been in the international market for almost two years and no major issues have been reported. I opted for the turbo and regularly getting 10 + in Bangalore traffic. Highways i am getting 16-20 range . All the best 😀

There is no one is buying Astor for average, myself included but MG should work on it. Average of 6 kmpl is really bad and in normal traffic its still single digit.
MG astor has a very good engine, good built quality and cabin along with dashboard is one of the best in segment.
Only concern that comes to mind is about the long term performance and expenses, and that's where cars like creta have an edge over it as they are in market from last 7-8 years and presence of workshop is relatively too much when compared to MG.
Moreover, average is less. U r right other cars have edge over this car. Thats why this car sale is less. This car is not as big as creta and seltos.

yeah right that very good engine is not capable to provide either power or a good average. CVT is also bad in this one. I can confidently say that this car will require very high maintenance in the future.
Chinese companies are fooling everyone by giving cheap mechanicals and giving somewhat better cabin materials.

The 1.5L feels quite underpowered because of its weight. I drove the manual base as my budget was 13L. So I went for the Honda City 4G VMT.

🚫 CVT owners are not having any ISSUES IN HILL (atleast all CVT owners i met till now) ,yes MT owners are having problem as 2nd gear lacks power i tried many hill and sharp sloppy basement no problem at all.

yes ,in city more than 10 is not possible (NOTE:- creta seltos CVT Gives same mileage in city i experienced)
In highway I'm getting 15+ easily and I'm not that slow driver especially in highway
So if you want a car in city ASTOR might not much good go for Grand vitara ( frankly speaking if you only drive in city much don't buy any compact SUV of this segement you will get bored Sub4met will be better )

Because just compare the cost of ASTOR & VITARA cost it' s almost +4-5 lack so in that money even if you get less mileage the ROUND OFF will be a long years (+5 years)

Your left leg is not rested well because of the centre console design.
I thinks its weight is the only reason behind its low mileage and little slower performance. Frankly its not for sporty drivers but really good for family oriented people.

Mileage can't be increased without decreasing weight or need to use smart hybrid like Suzuki is giving. Others give mileage bcz of less weight and not due to something drastic done in their engines
I think they should give CNG variant and Smart Hybrid variant also. About hill climb they need to do something . Rest everything is ok.
