    How cool are these old licks? Raw, Tough and smack you in the right way. I always liked to play good times bad times with an open D5 thus incorporating some open note runs. However I love how you play all right now with the droned c chord excellent. Love your passion mark. Well done and rock on!

    Brilliant love all the intros,I’ve noticed that Paul kossoff and Randy Rhoads both died on the 19th of March
    Just a recommendation have a listen too the album Fiends & Angeles sleazed in 1969 by Martha Velez
    brilliant singer both Eric Clapton & Paul kossoff plays on it ,it’s rumoured Jimi Hendrix also played on it

    Your dot tabs on the Lemon Song should stay open on B and hi E strings. Great lesson.

    Thanks Mark for a great video! Please do a lesson on the solo from The Average White Band -Work to Do. It's a fabulous solo and you have a great way of breaking down solos.

      Hi. I love their version of that Isley Brothers song! Maybe my favorite on that album, although so many great songs are on it. (For example, "Got The Love").
      I did a lesson on it a while back. Here it is: ruclips.net/video/LkFIFjWQdCA/видео.html

    mark, fun vid, as always. at 3:15 your dots on the lemon song may be off. the dots show the b and e strings marching up the the fret board. that may not be the way you played it earlier. just letting you know before the snark monsters show up. ha! have a great day.

    On I got a feeling rather than playing the a7 chord try playing the open a string and slide on the d string and b string up to the 5th fret. Not positive but pretty sure that's what both Lennon and Harrison do or just one of them plays. I think it's in the get back movie.
    Oh yea mute the g string.
    Great video. I like how you highlight the notes that you play

    • @MarkZabel
      @MarkZabel  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks! I'm fairly sure I hear a G note being played on that, which suggests to me at least one of them is playing it somewhere. Who knows for sure? Thanks again.

    • @jimhenderson2308
      @jimhenderson2308 6 месяцев назад

      @@MarkZabel I'm pretty sure I saw a camera angle on the roof that shows them playing it at the 5th fret . It's just something to be aware of. I always watch videos of live performances to verify if my suspicions are correct.
      Another thing that's very mysterious is the get back chord. Lennon plays an A7 chord but Billy Preston plays a Hendrix style chord. Not sure what Harrison plays.

    loved Jimi's writing. they give him crap because modern metal guys play tighter, but LZ had swagger

    • @MarkZabel
      @MarkZabel  4 месяца назад

      Me too. Songs AND riffs. And his play? I'll take it any day. He let it all hang out - played at the edge of his capability and then brought it in for a sweet note. It's hard to be out-of-control and then quickly bring it back. Beautiful sloppiness. "Since I've Been Loving You" is the thing I'm talking about here.

    I’m curious why does the electric you have look like an LP, but have a classic head & tuners look on top?

    • @MarkZabel
      @MarkZabel  3 месяца назад +1

      It's a Melody Maker. Gibson's budget lines generally had that narrow headstock.
