Tech Yes loves his Snowman tower cooler. Outperforms anything in that price range. Great video. I appreciate that you appear to "call it as it is." No hype or drama. Very similar to our Australian tech RUclipsrs.
I think thats the best way to go about things! This Snowman 2x heat pipe isn’t the best looking cooler (the 4x and 6x look way better imo). But it will get the job done, and it looks a lot better than the Stock cooler😂
I currently have a dell optiplex 9020 setup with a i7 4790 and a RX 580 2048SP 8gb (equivalent to about a GTX 1650 or GTX 1660) I got the whole pc for about $300 USD. I play Gta 5 Roleplay, Red Dead Redemption Roleplay, CS2, Rust, Roblox, Minecraft, Rainbow 6, and a bit of Assetto Corsa. I game on about low-medium 1080p settings. Had it for about 3-4 years and its definitely not winning in any beauty contests but the performance isnt bad
My 10 year old i7 core 4770 non k is paired with a RX 6400, 8 gig and a ssd.......i can play F76 on high textures, mid lighting, mid shadows, hoovers around 50/60 fps.......and it draws a total of under 90 watts.......i love it.
This is pretty similar to my current setup. Built my i7 4790k in 2015 and I still haven't upgraded my platform. Upgraded the cooler. ram, added some ssds and got an RTX 2060 throughout the years and it runs the games I play no problem. The 4.6ghz overclock I configured helps tremendously with performance as well.
I currently use a Ryzen 5 5600 with an RTX 4060 as my main rig, but I still use a Haswell Xeon (E3-1285L v3) with an RTX 2060 Super as my secondary machine. No downsides whatsoever. Chewed through anything I've thrown at it. My third machine uses another Haswell Xeon (E3-1265L v3) with a GTX 1660 Super and still works great with a smaller screen.
Cool video. Good to see some other people building older budget builds. I am still rocking an old T3600 workstation. I like the understated all black design and the older Xeons do rather well even now. I have an RX 5600XT in mine. As for the weird yellow colour I think I know what that is about. In the 2000s and into the 2010s black lights in PCs were a thing and that yellow looks like the UV reactive yellow plastic they put on motherboards like the old DFI LAN Party (yes I am that old). Looks pretty cool when the black light makes it glow bright yellow.
This is why I swear by the 4770/4790 for my budget builds they really can’t be beaten for price to performance and the 2060 can be picked up for £100! Technically that’s a £250 build 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Great video Thank you very much for the review this will be decent for now I needed an upgrade and never got into computers that much but this will be my second computer . I have been using ryzen 3 laptop hp14 for 4 years now . I just ordered me this pc with the rtx 2060 since I’m on a budget
Im using a Lenovo Thinkstation P410 i got off ebay for $90, slapped in a $5 Xeon E5-2650v4, 16gb of ddr4 i got for free because the seller sent me the wrong kit months before and felt bad so he refunded me. And i was using a RX 480 8GB which while it did pair well with my 1080p monitor, i was looking at upgrading to a GTX 1080 or RX 5700. My father ended up giving me his old RTX 2060 so ive been using that Does absolutely Everything i need it to do, 10/10 would recommend if you have even less money to spend than this video.
I got an xps 8700, it was around 100 USD and I just swapped my 16 gb of ram, the hdd and gpu to it. I've noticed some improvement in emulation but I'm gonna buy a cooler, because the stock one is at 50 °C while browsing
I would at least pair it with the 7700. You’ll need those extra threads on the i7. Thats if you already have the platform. If not, I’d recommend a Ryzen 3600.
You'll bottleneck so hard the RX 5700 XT with that CPU, even an i7 7700 will. Just sell whatever you have and get a cheap B450 (A320 If you're on a tight budget) and get a Ryzen 5 3600.
Hey, just wondering since I got the same mobo - were you able to control the fan speeds? My case fans are just constantly at full speed, bios settings don't work
Does it have bottleneck bc im bottlenecking on cs2 with my i7 8700k and rtx 2060 I have 16gb of ram and its on ssd I cant get more than 150 fps stable whatever settings i use and resolutions. Better graphics i put it gets better but lower resolution and lower graphic settings get me lower Cpu utilization is govering in 20% and gpu is in 60% Its fresh windows install and drivers and everything I cant get more fps whatever i do And yes i have unlocked fps and no vsync on believe me i have tried everything
Intriguing. I have my long abandoned Hackintosh build (Gigabyte Z87 mobo, 4770 and GTX 760. I was wondering what to do with it (I was going to grab the PSU for one of those aliexpress egpus). The GPU is probably the weakest list for any sort of gaming. I guess there's plenty of room for storage of retrogames.
@@ProYamYamPC i have this CPU in an old PC i loaned to a friend, on ASUS Z97-P, for some reason, if you choose auto-tune option in bios, it will overclock not only the CPU (4.1GHz from 3.9, idk how, read somewhere that some mobos can overclock even locked CPUs), but RAM too (1903 MHz from 1866)
There are intel ARC GPUs with same VRAM around the same price. It might be lacking in other features, but you get a new card. Might be worth considering
@@guaiqueritech nah as much I really want intel to do good buying their cards right now is just not recommended at all. They are good at fixing things but I would take DLSS and the other features + stable drivers over new
CS2 is shit game to make benchmark i have in my setup Xeon e3 1241v3 i tested 2 GPus on this cpu one is Gtx 970 4G second is GTX 1080 and i get less perfomance on gtx 1080 but still I have more fps than you on i7 4770 i got easy 200fps drops in action to 130 in 5v5 mach on deathmach get worse from 170 to 80 in heavy action

K series i7s have such long lifespans. Amazing to think a 10 year old CPU would still be a viable processor!
I have similar setup, just upgraded gtx970 to rtx4060 recently... now tempted to change mobo to z690 platform + 13400F

AIsuite has Fan Control with Fanstop, sorry for bad english❤
tecware is from the Philippines its one of the best local brand here for me

Honestly, it's the purple pci-e cable that's out of place there 😅
Wouldn't psu default cable look better
how much did you sell this for ? £250-£300? what was your profit?

a bit late but what cpu cooler did you use in this build

Windows 10
@@ProYamYamPC so it can be installed windows 10, I guess it can't be because on the web i7-4770 does not include a CPU that supports for Windows 10.

Ryzen 5 2600 6c12t cheap same price as i7 6700 7700 processor.
just overclock the cpu and the gpu as well, its good enough
The cpu is not support overclocking
the motherboard support it and i know you can still do it
