So I go there all the time with my electric high banker. It’s so much fun to dig in the soil and pull a little gold out from those old tailing and then go home and pan it out. Thanks for the awesome video.
Hi Klesh, I have the prospector and miner sized bazooka sluices that I was lucky enough to buy from the inventor at his fabrication site. I spent the day with him and he told me the sluice runs at its best 3/4 submerged in ultra fast water… submerged more than most are comfortable with. I basically ran mine with the back fins just above the water line and the grizzlies submerged to the flat top of the front… that would be above the water. This way it fully cleared itself every shovel full without any manipulation. I could run a days worth of dirt in four hours with those sluices. They are my favorite! Awesome video! You are back with a vengeance!
😂 the puppers is gold, love the video, very cool a journalist is taking an interest in your prospecting an writing a story, now more people can enjoy your content as we here already do
Being in Missouri would love to get a G-pick and find a bag of GOLD love tour videos and content keep find the gold and other tresures look to watch more never gets old watching your older stuff And yes I watch to the Very End
Nice authentic video, pal. I know that feeling when you're about to go home and you find gold in the last spot. Too bad, the way to your pay dirt is too far for me ⚒👍🤠
You gotta love doing it. I will never get rich money wise but I enjoy being out at the creek and river and the feeling when you find a little bit of color.
When I went out there two years ago, it was great! I appreciate how you can use battery operated gear out there as well, to run more material. I heard that on the other side of the bar further up, there is better gold. I also heard it’s private property.
Clear Creek was a lot lower than when I was there early last month. I didn't take my GPAA Mining Guide to Colorado with me, so I didn't get to go explore any of the claims around Idaho Springs.
Ha, didn't expect to see any snakes on your chan :) I am a snake keeper and breeder, for a second I almost thought I was watching one of the many herping chans I sub to lol.
Oh man, I haven't been there in a while!!! That's where I first met you years and years ago. I still have my vial from that day. It was the first time I ever found gold and garnets, so I had to keep it. 😊
I see some areas that might produce better even though it's only a couple flower flakes. Good luck, it looks like a tough area to produce. There's no where to pan where I live, you're lucky!
Hi Shane, as always, great video and thanks for helping me live vicariously through you!! Where do you get your prospecting tools such as hand picks from? My interest is in transplanting native plants and saplings on my property and you are the only person I know that is very familiar with how hard the ground is in Cañon City.
Hey Klesh, long time lurker. Ive heard digging the center of the stream and getting down to the black stuff is where the magic is at, considering we had such high flow this year. Havent been out there yet this year, but thats what I heard. Cheers!
I am trying to decide what size mesh to get for the classifier, the area I prospect in NC has mostly clay. I was thinking of getting the 1/4 mesh. What would you suggest?
Yeah, a 1/4" is my choice as well. If machines are permitted, try using a drywall mud mixer or paint mixer on a power drill (bring extra batteries) to help with that clay.
A metal detector would help find good spots in a place like this right? Will the big rocks and stones inhabit a detectors ability to scan down far enough?
You'd think so, but in an area like this (full of trash, cans, all sorts of metal) it would just be very time consuming without any gold. The gold here is very fine and the best way is to process dirt (lots of it) to find the most gold.
Sorry you got skunked, but videos like this actually lend authenticity to your channel. Nobody can accuse you of salting your videos if you find nothing
I like how your dog positions itself to hog all of the closeups. Cool.
Dogs the real star.

Great job getting that Au fam. Keep on having fun and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
This is the content I watch for. Going out on the river looking for gold. I hope you do more of this type
2nd one in 2 weeks
Tipper looks like such a cool and chill pup.

Awesome video! You are back with a vengeance!
I took your recommendation and went there two weeks ago. Got a few specks of gold. Fun panning experience.
Another great video! You need to hide a bag in Michigan if you get the chance.
Great video and article! Timber is adorable. Glad to see you’re getting some nice press!
Looks like a nice adventure. It is awesome you hid a bag of paydirt for somebody to find. Thanks for sharing 👍
Reminds me of my late sister and I panning on the American river in California many years ago. We found very little gold, but had great fun. ❤❤ ❤
😂 the puppers is gold, love the video, very cool a journalist is taking an interest in your prospecting an writing a story, now more people can enjoy your content as we here already do
Good job Shane. You should come down and do some compressor diving with me this summer.
I’ll be there next month. I’ll check it out! Thanks!
Very cool spot to go looking for gold!!! Thanks for sharing ✌🤠✌
Let’s get It! Love the vids Klesh.
It’s so good to see you back out there. Enjoy the Paydirt reviews but enjoy the outings even more, hope to see more and more - heavy pans, brotha.
Always love the hunt for gold 😊
Keep the great vids coming!
Not bad for only a few buckets. Wish I was back out there.
Absolutely love this area where you're doing this painting project at
Police officer from little Rhode Island.
Love your weekly paydirt.
Positive vibes to all those prospectors out there 😊
Adorable doggie! Thankyou for filming this and sharing.
Come on Mr Pocket good stuff brother congrats on the article

Even the richest people in the world still enjoy the river exactly the same as a poor person
I hope I can get out to Colorado for some gold panning and fishing someday. Not much gold here in Missouri.
Found where you hid the treasure but it was already gone. We did have a good time panning there, even found a little bit
Well thanks for looking and glad you made a good day out of it! (that's kind of the point!) so mission accomplished :)
I can tell you take care of that dog, he look beautiful
Great video Shane give that puppy some good scratches

We have quite successful sluicing and panning in the Thompson canyon and in the Ward area!
Clear Creek was a lot lower than when I was there early last month. I didn't take my GPAA Mining Guide to Colorado with me, so I didn't get to go explore any of the claims around Idaho Springs.
The dog seems to just sniff out the gold!
Your dog is awesome. 42% baby whoop whoop 🤘😃🇨🇦
Ha, didn't expect to see any snakes on your chan :) I am a snake keeper and breeder, for a second I almost thought I was watching one of the many herping chans I sub to lol.
I can't wait for an opportunity to get back to the CO! spread the love to Timber!
5:07 is the best part of the video
Oh man, I haven't been there in a while!!! That's where I first met you years and years ago. I still have my vial from that day. It was the first time I ever found gold and garnets, so I had to keep it. 😊
Good times!
Your pup is stealing the show...♥️
Your 15 minutes of fame. But then again, your paydirt is the best on the market. Kudos to you, Shane.
I see some areas that might produce better even though it's only a couple flower flakes. Good luck, it looks like a tough area to produce. There's no where to pan where I live, you're lucky!
Great looking place, Your puppy is stealing the video sometimes..LOL lol
I know!!
LOL LOl
That’s the way it works. The day you have a reporter or someone important observing you, you get skunked.
haha of course

Thats true it's like concrete - I have links on kleshgold.com to the mining equipment I use, just click on shop>prospecting gear
When I lived in Wheat Ridge near Clear Creek,
there was one place I always wanted to dig up and pan. But really bad knees prevent it. 😤
Another great video)))
What size classifier are you using?✌️🙂🇺🇲
I like to use a quarter inch classifier on the river. Sometimes half inch classifier if I'm not using the fluid bed sluice box
I LOVE UR DOG
Nice
Já achei ouro aqui no Brasil, Amazônia. É muito emocionante.

That's definitely true , just a little tricky to dig down right there for me ⛏
Gday Klesh
Guess was to late here I am 3am lookin an yeah someone got it lol

@7:18 Hi, Shane- what size mesh does your classifier have?
That's a quarter inch

Great video as always. Do you know a good place in Douglas County to take my niece and nephew? They’re teenagers so we can put in some work.
Personally I don't but Kevin Singel's book "Finding Gold in Colorado" definitely will put you on the gold!
😎
42% 🤘
👍
Is that a panning reserve where your at ,like we have here in bc Canada
Yeah it's a gold panning park
What are your thoughts on panning in South Georgia areas?
I'd first check historical gold mining in that area, then start looking for legally accessible areas. After that I'd start test panning 👍⛏
the black stuff is heavy which is why you find gold with it
The notorious K.L.E.S.H.
The dark minerals are mafic, having a high iron and magnesium content, sourced from the mantle.
How would a person try to schedule a day of prospecting in your area with you??
If you're a news person, you might get lucky. I ignored his first few emails.
At least the article won't start a new gold rush
Sorry you got skunked, but videos like this actually lend authenticity to your channel. Nobody can accuse you of salting your videos if you find nothing
Should’ve took him far in
That was as far back as you can go, almost
Arapahoe Bar has been panned and sluiced to death. If you want better gold on Clear Creek, head east.
I've found more gold between my toes !!!! Just kidding.
Dredges did not get the bigger gold. Thats what they threw away
Everybody gets skunked when you take someone out....
