I'm shocked that Corona and Remix mods are not on the list, both ò them are among the best mod of the game, Corona isn't out yet but looks very promising and Remix had been out for 3 years already and Knightvvv has done basically all the stuff other mods did(Improve graphics, visual/sound effects, adding new units,....) w/o blatantly breaking the player immersion.
@@minhhuytruong8667 It's a problem of taste then because i can hardly say remix is the best. To me Remix and Corona are as average as all other mods. Remix feels like it was mixed with too many thing that it became messed up and doesn't go along well with the RA theme. For Corona, i can't describe why but something subtle about that mod just doesn't feel right for me. Those are just my opinions. Other people might think differently.
@@Weigazod IMO, Remix mod feels more destructible and unbalanced than any other RA3 mods and if you set the starting credits to 900000 then you have the most intense & laggy fight in a skirmish match. Corona mod i haven't tried but after seeing some gameplays of it.. definitely doesn't feel too right for me. Though, I'd still try it when the mod is finally released.
Might've been purposefully avoided due to monetization reasons. I've looked at the mod myself and went like "Is this a social commentary?" But no, it's a genuine mod, I just didn't know about it before... Global circumstances appeared of the same name.
I think the coolest unit come from Remix, and Science Mod. However I prefer to play mods that have an entirely new faction to add to the original 3 (since I completed all the campaign like 3 times already), that's why I play Eastern Loong, and still waiting for Corona Mod (not the virus).
For Generals Evolution, I've been following the creator of that mod "Gunship Mark II " for a long time. He's pretty cool and has gone through a lot of hardships. Anyway, the public beta for Generals Evolution will be released on February 10th. I hope you will play it when that release comes out since everything changes: Units, maps, music, AI and I can't even begin on the number of visual effects that are being added to the game. So yeah, the mod is shaping up to be pretty good. Gunship also made the MMod for Half life 2, so check that out as well.
Great list of mods. I played the recent Generals Evolution mod using my Red Alert 3 disk copy (which I copied the installer files) and it works pretty well. The only issue I find is that even if I have last RA3 patch update it crashes when I use Super Weapons with the mod. I play it without super weapons and still win. Great and fun mod.
Only mod I heard about before was "Upheaval" which aimed to literally just patch in the Uprising units for use in multiplayer. Glad to get a longer breakdown on some of the other more popular ones.
Shock Therapy is the best one out there. Visuals are noice, and the Reaper Spam is the ultimate strat (reach mass economy upgrade, build 6-10 war factories, shit 10 Sickles out every 10 sec, grind them on a crane, have every third or second Sickle drop a Drone, grind the drone for extra 250, repeat for a huge turnover, broaden your prod cycle until you´ve got a stable income and then can generate money by violating the first law of thermodynamics, and then just spam out a Reaper every 2nd vehicle. I managed to reach the stable 30k state by this strat and it rocks).

Corona MOD is still work in progress. Armor Rush has a Tenkei Mothership, different superweapons and subfactions. Generals Evolution is already released as of 0.2 Beta. Condition Red is Red Alert 2 on Red Alert 3 Engine.
Man, that generals mod looks very promising. I wish they continued developing it. Or I wish EA put out a remaster. Don't even need new graphics, just add modern resolution support, fix the incompatibility issues with modern systems and put it on Steam.
Transcending added Uprising units AND commanders which is cool. They also added Commanders and characters to the skirmish from the vanilla Campaign. Giga Fortress still broken and OP btw. So good luck lol.

I recommend Remix as well, it's very good and upgraded every 2 months or so. Quality of life improvements, new units and protocols. Graphical improvements too, the King Oni got a slew of new animations, with an articulated neck added.

Idk which version of Red Alert you're using (Origin, CD, etc.) but Generals Evolution worked just fine if you implement a additional command into the skudef of Red Alert. It's imo one of the easiest ways to get mods up and running for the Ultimate Edition of Red Alert 3, Tib Wars and Generals.
great video i really hope that you do more of these for other games, two mods that i want to recommend both Remix and Armor Rush have their own missions (though its not a full campaign just a mission or two replacing the original campaign) they are both well put together and worth checking out

If you whant to play Generals use the network button and when it sometimes give a fault just click on it again 1 or 2 times and it wil work.. And with a new made account for the new servers you can also play online.
There's a mod called SageMetaTool to add 60 fps + other things, not sure of the timeline of it's development compared to this video, but would you recommend it? If so how did you like it? Do you still have to pay for it?
I think it would be amazing to do a RA2 Yuri's Revenge mod on top of RA3 base game. basically bring back all the units and factions from RA2, including Yuri. and actually, there was a mod in the past that sadly wasn't finished called Synergy.
Does reloaded work with C&C obline? My dad and I have been wanting to use the Gunships from uprising while playing with each other. We live in different states so LAN isnt an option.
If you launch the mod as a command line perameter, and have the launcher hooked to the game - then yes! Any mod with skirmish support can function over online. While I realize your question is a year old, I'll also note that VLAN options like VPNs, GameRanger, Hamachi or ZeroTier can also help you set up "LAN" matches online.
Mods don't seem to function with a steam account. Not going to bother trying to get things working. I'd love to try out The Red Alert mod though, hope they will add a steam version for it (even if it's likely it will never happen)
@@Zade_95 Well hotel magnate looks incredibly promising as is due this summer, it's build system looks a lot like the sims and from everything I've seen it looks very impressive and we're long overdue for a hotel tycoon game, Sim casino is out on early access similar idea to hotel magnate but more casino focused. The Tenants which is a land lord building and management game which looks quite nice. TasteMaker is a modern restaurant tycoon game due to release in a month. Townscaper is more of a tool than a proper game but it's incredibly relaxing and beautiful and i heard the dev has plans to expand on it due to all the positive feedback he received. Endzone - A World Apart is basically fallout 4's settlement building (but good) meeting cities skylines. Mondo Museum is a museum tycoon game releasing this year. Tinytopia is a stylized city builder that looks very imaginative. Sky Haven is an airport management sim that takes you through the ages of flight and has you managing your passenger and commercial flights. that's just a handful off my steam Wishlist, there are a bunch more and I'm honestly psyched for this year's releases.

Can we get a video on StarCraft? I played it for the first time last year and found it holds up remarkably well (As long as you can get over the low resolution and high zoom, was a bit disorienting at first but you get used to it), I found the dialogue and voice acting fun and interesting, and the story even more so. Don't bother with Remastered, you get a resolution upgrade and remastered cutscenes in return for them ruining the artstyle of the original and making the character portraits match up with their SC2 counterparts, which look terrible.
I'm having the hardest time trying to figure out how to create my own. RA2 had ini files and I would make changes there. What do i need to do the same with RA3? Any help is greatly appreciated. I spent years away from a PC due to raising my family and working 6 to 7 days a week. Now I have more free time for a passion and my old head is lost lol.
generals evolution mod looks great but even on my beefy computer it has struggled to load units in properly and bugs out and in turn completely crashes sometimes. however with that being said it is still fun as any other command and conquer I have ever played all the way from red alert to tiberium wars.

Dude if your mods are crashing, delete them re add them and delete the entire RA3 folder and document folder plus, location files. All of them. Those two mods you talk about they work. And they are unfinished. Also Shock Therapy. My favorite.
Zade, have you ever heard of or played rts game called Armies of Exigo? It is, lets say very inspired by Warcraft and Starcraft, but it is one of my favourites games of all time and the campaign and story is just phenomenal (in my opinion). Grafics (especially cinematics) holds up to today and there are some gameplay elements that are really interesting. If you did not play it I highly recommend you try it and if you did I would like to know your opinion on this game
Generals Evolution is best mod for me. This is true remastered Generals Zero Hour for now. The biggest project ever about Generals Zero Hour. Someone did what poor EA didn't. EA should think about it.

Remix mod is a great modification, with its own campaign levels to boot. Its still being updated today.

I recommend checking out Red Alert 3 REMIX by Knight vvv. The mod started out in 2018, with frequent updates, the most recent one being from November.

Upheaval is as close as you'll get, but it's a little buggy. Reloaded has them function properly, but rebalances as well.

Tried that, didn't work! Trust me, I've troubleshooted mods before :p I know they work for most but for one reason or another I was unlucky!

Armies of Exigo doesn't seem to be available for download from GOG or Steam, only CDs from 3rd-party sellers on Amazon.
Generals Evolution is best mod for me. This is true remastered Generals Zero Hour for now. The biggest project ever about Generals Zero Hour. Someone did what poor EA didn't. EA should think about it.
if they made new factions like china, India, kingdom of Judea, the cult of holy roman empire and global Islamic liberation front this might turn red alert 3 very playable and exciting

If you really just want a ridiculous time that throws off conformity to Vanilla Red Alert 3's Balance Science Mod is the most fun I have gotten with a mod from this game.

Can you PLEASE teach your audience how to install these mods? I've been trying to install RELOADED for my RA3 Steam and it doesn't work.
I don't mean to be rude but if I can figure it out through some google searches I'm confident you can too! I don't have time to make a guide for every single mod I talk about, you know?
@@Zade_95 I figured it out after receiving discord help for the error. And you were rude, I'd rather you hadn't responded at all. RA3 modding is a mess right now with bibber out the scene and not everyone using the collection
This is absolutely something you should consider in your mods, wouldn't add more than 1:30 minute
Sorry you feel that way but it's unfeasible for me to explain and troubleshoot every mod I ever cover for all versions of all computers. Glad you got it sorted though!
