Question. After shirring my bobbin casing would not tighten for regular thread to finish skirt . Did I stretch it out with elastic thread and need to get another one ?

After Shirring and backstitching at both ends, the elastic seam to be pretty movable. Will we need to adjust the shirring elastic every time we put the garment on or do we need to tack it some how?

Hi, the shirring shouldn’t seem movable, the top stitch should be tacking it in place securely. Is your tension correct?
