    Cool Review Brother!
Neat to see how much you dig the 80s vibe & all that goes along with that.
I was just looking at an 85 bronco online.

Awesome truck I bought a new 1984 Bronco back in the day. Loved it. I decided I needed another a year ago. I found a junker 1985 last year and bought it. It’s not going to be a restore I’ll call it restomod, I like fuel injection. I have a 2010 F150 as a donor vehicle. Great dipstick.
    Good luck have fun

Fellow brother with a bronco! I see you! Looks great man. I didn’t stay retro with my 94 but I’m tryin to make it my daily driver. I’m digging those wheels too. I have chrome but they’re such a pain to keep up with. I think I’ll switch to black steel like yours. Top notch interior. Also, since you live in Maryland, make sure to keep that rust at bay!

Glad you like your truck my first broccoli was 1986 the first ones that were fueling Jackson. I have another Bronco in 1986 again with a carburetor you can't go wrong with the Broncos the great trucks. They get you where you gotta go if you need part you could try LMC. Bronco graveyard and there's other ones you can go To Do find parts. Just takes a little time good luck with your truck.

Nice Bronco, i also have an 85 that i'm working on. The pink XLT on the badges is actually supposed to be red and the light blue on the Ford Logo on the grill is Ford blue, the sun eats up those colors pretty badly.

Enjoyed your video. My wife and I bought a 1985 used in about 1987 and loved it. It was XLT with a bench seat and had a 351 engine that was pretty stout. Great 4X4 too, it climbed real well. I visited Maryland from out west in August 2021, just after you made the video. Eastern Shore, then Calvert County. Lots of childhood memories. I have never heard the bullnose term for these Broncos before. Where does that come from?

    • @samoramtango
      @samoramtango  2 года назад

Nice , yeah I don’t see many with the front bench seat , I’m loving it too ,I plan to move out west , "Bullnose" refers specifically to the 1980 - 1986 Ford F-Series trucks and broncos.
The nickname comes from the shape of the front of the truck:
Look at a bull's face and head. Notice how a bull's eyes slant back from its face toward its head, and the nose is pushed forward.
Now go and look at the front of a 1980 - 1986 F-Series truck or Bronco.
Notice how the headlights (or "eyes") slant back from the front of the truck (or "face") toward the cab (or "head"), and the grille (or "nose") is pushed forward from the headlig

Really enjoyed the Vid Bro ! That IS a nice ride.
The front seat prob came out of a different vehicle.
It would have had the same fabric as the back seat.
Plus - Broncos all had bucket seats.
I ordered my 85 with a front bench seat though - more room and comfort.
The purple wood is due to sun damage. My 85 got like that.
Like the FORD lettering on the hood.
Get a dip stick from a junk yard. should be plenty of 351 motors around.
You don't want to make a mistake with your oil level !
The pump belt is for a Thermactor. It pumps air into the exhaust to help
    with pollution.

thanks for the knowledge , that was a wonder of mines noticing other bull nose Bronco's with bucket seats

Is that the 351 Ho? Those had a marine cam in them so they idle a little on the lopey side when you throw dual exhaust on like you have.

I think the Ford lettering stopped in 81 too. I want to do that to my 85 as well.

Don't see many nice ones anymore. They rust quick if they're not resealed, the factory seal/paint wasn't great, to say the least.

Also, I just rewinded the video and zoomed in. It looks like you have a Ford 9 inch rear end on it which is not original to that truck. You barely can make it out in the video but if you do have a Ford 9’ in there one of other owners swapped that in. It’s not a bad thing, it’s actually a good thing bc it’s a better rear end than what it came with. Also, you mention you wanted a bronco to go off road, the front independent Dana 44 axles in these from 80-96 suck which is one of the reasons the blazers from these eras was more popular for the longest time until recently when these came back in style. I prefer these bullnose Broncos, they look bad ass, and I love the color scheme you have on yours

Thanks for the good information, your also correct about the off road part, I’m shooting a video right now on why I had to engine swap , & the process, also planning on other stuff , thanks again for the good information

I just got my own 1985 ford bronco off FB Marketplace and I'm so excited! It looks really similar to yours except has all red interior & bucket seats. I'm in DC, so if you're in the DMV we may run into each other! haha Do you fix it up yourself or have a trusted mechanic in the area?

Nice, your gona love it, yeah if you see me give me a honk!, I first try to diagnose and repair any issues myself , but if it’s a time consuming repair I'll take it to (Air Park Tow) in 19200 Woodfield Gaithersburg MD , Eric (240-725-4347) is the Mechanic that has helped me , they are really good with old Trucks. Next year I plan to tackle most if not all future repairs myself, I have more time to do so ,this coming year,

Only part hard to find is the fuel pump! The trucks dont have a 33 gal tank so those pumps wont work.
