Keep it stock, it will be worth more that way, and you are “preserving” it for the future
Pretty good idea
That’s a good idea. I would also recommend NOT removing the top. Not worth the effort and you’ll never get it back on like the factory did. I regret taking mine off.
Preserve it so some guy in the future can radius cut the fenders and throw boggers on it in 30 years?
Preserve and keep it for sentimental value, and of course the value will shoot up
Marco Jasso but it looks so cool without the top
I still love this model bronco.
The new Bronco is great but this looks more like what I would call the iconic bronco.
Michael 0788 Kinda wished that they also offered a full size Short whee based F series Bronco again like the 2nd-5th generation full size bronco did maybe will get one in the future again.
So did oj and AL COWLINGS
I see that “don’t lose sight “sticker from it’s just a 6
someone needs to show Gavin
Jay Moar it’s just his saying
I like how they highlighted the crooked eBay headlights.
I daily drive a 96 bronco eddie bauer 351 auto mass air flow efi its good
Yeah Jacob so how is it?
This unit is so well kept that it must remain stock at least the exteriors. Very nice truck.
That was a block heater cord , connected to an element that warms up the coolant , not the oil , sorry eh .
What a hoser eh
it could be either.
Way to catch them! But your comment is meaningless because it will confuse people as to the purpose of heating the block in the first place
@@ipdjbt No. All Ford, GM, Chrysler and foreign cars/light trucks I know heat the coolant. It is referred to as a block heater because the water transfers the heat to the block and that in turn heats the oil, heads, and combustion chamber.
@@aqgh1 there are oil pan heaters that attach to the bottom of the oil pan. And there are block heaters. My statement still stands.
Woah, nice coincidence. I’m buying a '93 Bronco Custom with a 5 speed tonight
So how's the truck?
Why is it not in my driveway yet? What’s taking so long?
Lucky
I had a 93 custom automatic. Great truck I miss mine
Mark Deluisi pretty great. Engine only has 40k on it and clutch was done a few thousand miles ago. I plan to roadtrip with it
Best $4200 this kid will ever spend...
$2500'is a good price for a good condition one. Over $4000'is ridiculous.
@@matrixist You get what you pay for good luck getting a Bronc for 2500 that doesnt need 4500 in work either now or shortly down the road. Im not saying its impossible im saying its highly unlikely. Here in Mn 2500 will get you a rusty 175k mile rig.
@@matrixist lol your a fool
@@matrixist 4000 is pretty good for a bronco that nice
I only paid 1000 for my 93 xlt with no rust but had some beat up trim panels a couple dents and the window regulators and motors shot and 275k with everything stock and/or the original except for a set of 31X10.50R15 that just makes it look like more proportioned
Nothing at all wrong with Caleb's Bronco here, but I wish now, that I could have kept my 1975 Bronco in XLT Ranger trim package with that wonderful 302 VB.
It was a bronze color with while top and in the day, sure looked great!
Love the.. "flew to BFE and drove it home" stories.. really shows how much he wanted it
You Bet!
For $4200 I would've drove it from Alaska to Miami. lol
In 2016 I flew to Orlando FL to buy an 86 Mustang convertible 5.0/5spd and drove it all the way back home in Nebraska.
Very nice truck!! I love the 90's Ford's.
Looks very clean for an old vehicle. The first owners must have taken really good care of it
I owned one with the 351. The 351 was about 210 hp. Yeah, that's sure some "brio" alrighty. The 302 was 199 hp. The difference is in torque. 302 = 270 ft-pound, 351 = 328 ft-pounds.
Ya it’s weird I have owned both and the 351 was a dog compared to the 302 but it was carbureted maybe the reason why lol seemed to spin up faster then the laggy 351 did
My 99 explorer with a 302 had 210 hp
My 1980 had the 302 carburetor motor with the v6 auto..3.50 gear ratio and manual hubs...put a 2inch lift and tried 34 inch tires and ended up with 33s being the sweet spot with that gear/tire combo...16 to 18 mpg city..up to 22 highway if you didnt hot dog it and were driving downwind..lol
I had a 94' with a 351. My neighbor had the same vehicle but a 302. I got better gas mileage and pulled the hills better with my 3300# boat as well. He had to keep his foot into it, I didn't.
@@herb7877 no doubt..the 302 didn't have the mid range torque and sometimes i wished it had a 351...and with any vehicle the correct combo of gear ratio/transmission ratios/tire diameter makes all the difference in the world....mine worked well...pulled a dual axle u haul covered trailer stuffed to the gills..a ex ...three daughters under 5 and the rear of the bronco stuffed with a weeks worth of clothes, huggies and a cooler from Sacramento to Michigan ..other than doing 35 mph up the continental divide it did ok..lol...12 mpg all the way
The Green is called Pacific Green, I had a 96 F150 the same color with a silver two-tone. It is honestly the best looking green I have ever seen on any car or truck.
ONLY vehicle that looks good green till this day... Well maybe that new mustang Bullet or the new Audi A5 but that’s about it
I enjoy the series talking with real owners about their vehicles. The Bronco has been an American legend in its own right in the car industry. Love the 1970s models.
We has an '81 when I was a kid. Loved it! I parked by one last week that was Cummins swapped! Amazing! I hope they bring these back next.
@Bryan James they have said they are making a Bronco brand, so maybe...
Love the look of these Broncos
Gt40 heads, cam and edelbrock intake with shortie headers, I did it to my 95 F150. I love it even more now!!!
lol, please, 12 mpg in the mountains...Anyone that had a 351 will laugh at that.
Mine got 10mpg at all times. Wide open throttle or driving like a grandma.
The manual hubs are worth a few mpg. I had a 78 C20 4x4 400 automatic with auto transfer case. It got 8 mpg. I advanced the cam 4', headers, duel exhaust with turbos, recurve kit in the dist, manual hubs, and a manual kit in the transfer case all yielded 4 mpg. For 12 mpg it was money well spent. My new ride is a 95 Grand Cherokee 4.0 that is getting 13/18. But they want 1500 bucks for a manual hub kit. Yikes! That's 20% of what it took to completely rebuild the drive train, and not worth it to me for 1 mpg or 2.
Exactly my thought lmao
On the downhill.
I have a 92 F-150 with auto hubs....never have failed me.
True, while they still weren't ideal for strength vs good aftermarket ones. They still held up fine if people did actual bearing and hub packs like they should have instead of running them till the grease was tar.
“Cali-Spell” Montana lol 😂
“Yep”
-Caleb 2020
My wife and I have hundreds of thousands of miles of experience in 4WD vehicles - mostly in Utah. Never a Bronco but it was on our short list of possibilities back in the day. My advice: Spend your time driving your Bronco in the back country to gain experience about capabilities and wheel placement. It will be time better spent than studying and installing modifications. It is amazing where one of those can go with a world-class driver behind the wheel. One exception: If you ARE going to invest in a modification, replace the limited slip with a locking differential (differential locker). That will allow you to retain the looks of that beautiful truck. And I don't think you can do better than the BFGs.
Own the same Year, engine, color, XLT. Owned it ,sold it , bought it back. Happy ever since 👍
So, mpg is basically the same as my Tundra...love the old Broncos!!
And my 15 F150 “Eco”Boost. 16mpg @ 70mph FLAT.
@@upshifter5316 yeah man all these new parts are not worth the extra mpg
A lot of older vehicles get good or better mileage, my 03 7.3 got 18.3mpg rolling 75-85 all the way from Sacramento to Abilene TX and back. With the A/C on the whole trip. My 93 7.3IDI gets the same. Most newer diesel won’t because they use fuel to regen the exhaust. How’s that better for the environment?
And my 2010 f150!!
Modern vehicles are also heavier and more power. Tundras and F150s have nearly double the usable power, and they pushing nearly 3 tons of weight. So, if your MPG is no worse, then that's a actually a massive improvement in efficiency.
Keep it stock, preserve it.
“Don’t Lose Sight” sticker on the back left window. I see that Itsjusta6 sticker.
Same. A little bit of good ol' unplanned exposure for DLS and itsjusta6. (was gonna plug the giveaway but figured better not make TFL get pissed at Gavin and the guys)
That’s awesome that he has it there
block heater usually heats the coolant not the oil. could be a sump heater. id bet its just an element that goes in a freeze plug hole on the block though
OBS is maybe my second favorite bronco body style
And that's says a lot
I got a 95 bronco that I drive everywhere, best daily driver ever
Without a doubt
Jay Moar Good daily can tread anything you throw at it, just keep in mind the car gets like 9mpg lmao
@@jaymoar3561 Perfect in every way except for mpg... lol
Nice 96.... I have 95 5.8 l with 290,000 mi on it still runs great. Was offered 25 to 30 k for it last year.
The last of the REAL Bronco!!!
My 78 with 460 and 4-speed still rolling strong.
That's a wimpy truck. ... kidding
It’s a dam gas Alcoholic
Can’t stand when he ask questions he already knows the answer to.
I loved my 1981 Bronco. I could take off the top in 10 minutes.
I have a 1995 F150 4x4 5 speed 302 V8 that I bought used in October 1995. Recent changes were 4.56 gears, 33” BFGs, leveling kit up front, and Auburn Gear locker both front and back. It still looks very much like stock, but so much more capable now. I took it up Sand Hollow sand dunes a few weeks ago, then to Toquerville Falls after that. It did great. Did not have to call Matt’s Off-road Recovery, which was my only reason for visiting that area 😃
They are only stock once. The '96 is the only Bronco with OBD II and that 5.8 L (or 351) is set up for roller bearings, in the future. These engines last because they are detuned. The breathing is restricted, so increased air flow heads really wake these engines up. But do not mess with a K&N style oiled intake, because it pollutes the Mass Air Sensor. Leave that stock. The E4OD transmissions were much improved by 1996, but they are further strengthened from billet torque converters.
My dad had a '91 Eddie Bauer... I miss that truck... It was sluggish and slow as F, but so cool
The new Bronco is a masterpiece
I hated it when it first came out but now I really dig it... still keepin my '96 though.
I had an 89 with a straight six and I loved it. I also have a 74 with a 351W for wheeling in CO. I reserved a Limited Edition 2021 Bronco late last night, the dealer already called me about the options that I want. I can't wait.
I like it. Would love to own one.
This vehicle is worth 15k all day if he fixes the little issues like seats and whatever else needs fixing.
He got a smoking deal on it.
Love the truck. This is my favorite generation of Ford trucks. Ran a 93 F250 460 up until last year. Gonna be looking for another F250 or 350 with the 7.3 powerstroke after Christmas.
If possible find an idi alot better and cheaper to maintain and fully mechanical
As a chevy guy, I always thought those broncos where soo freakin nice.
I have a mint condition 1994 302 XLT. Only 86k miles. Grandfather gifted to me. Super thankful.
This rig is beautiful. Thanks for sharing
I had one with the 5speed manual in it even had the 5.8L in err though it was rotted to hell here in Michigan, but man it ran like a raped ape and this brings back memories...
I had a white '93 XLT with a 4" lift with 33" Duratracs. I thought that was the perfect set up. Could have gone with 35's and a 6" lift but I didn't think it looked as good. Downside was I had the 302 with 234K miles. I live in the high desert and would remove the roof one Memorial Day and not put it back on until Labor Day. It was a fun truck for what it was.
I have a white 95 bronco also very mint and all my buddies say "ohh look it's OJ hide yah wifes" 🤣
He's seems like a very smart young man. Such a beautiful vehicle. I miss my black '89.
Funny I bought mine for 4,500 , but it’s got the 302, but I believe the 351 only has like 20 more hp then the the 302
My brother had a 96 bronco with a front bench seat and vinyl flooring. It was my favorite vehicle ever. I was most fascinated with the springs that hold the hood up!
"I got a brand new BRONCO out in the parking lot, RED!"
Ya gotta game going on Pal?!?!?!
Saying so at the end of every sentence bothers me
Yeah. So?
Love it! Nice truck
Dude is your leg ever going to get better I hope you get better
No kidding, man. Poor Nathan has been sporting that leg brace forever.
I remember my dad's blue Bronco & my uncle red Bronco when I was a young boy. That sure was many years ago. Also my grandpa's old Ford High Boy.
The 5-speed manual was available, but not on the larger engine (i.e., 5.8L). With the 5.8L (351), your only option was the automatic.
Just an observation. I'm old enough to have bounced around in the backseat of 50's cars, and learned on 60's and 70's machines. Foreign competition, better materials science, engineering, and fabrication liberated us from those old short life vehicles. It's possible today to find many 20 and 30 year old vehicles that were moderately cared for and still worth buying as daily drivers. I don't mind the modern tech in new cars. But I have always been about performance and price. I can't stand paying huge money for over weight vehicles loaded down with options I don't want. And dealers can't or wont order a car equipped the way I want it, so I don't buy them anymore. My "new" car is a 21 years old 70,000 mi MX5 I bought with 30,000 on it 9 years ago.
4.9 300cid inline 6, 5.0 302, 5.8 351. 5 speeds are fun! 1980 to 1986 are cheaper but 87 to 91 are affordable, the old ones had 4 speeds with carburetors, no EFI! 92 to 96 are nicer. 78 to 79 are awesome
I have a 96 bronco with 231k and runs as good as a new truck easy! With the 5.8 351 and you can get way over 300k just have good maintenance
Bought my Red sport Bronco back in 98, 19,000 miles on it at time of purchase, currently has 367,000 miles on it. Runs smooth never had to change the head gasket. It's on the third radiator but other than that no major mechanical issues. Just wish they could of done a better quality made interior the plastics back then were terrible. Il never sell it.
if ford makes an "OJ" edition they won't be able to keep them on the lot.
Yes!
"I'm AC, damnit!" Love, Al Cowlings
Bronco is the only vehicle I would buy in white.
yea, it is a killer model
4:20 I see that Don't Lose Sight by itsjusta6 decal on the window. Cool to see the unplanned placement of one group's brand on another group's channel.
OJ killed the Bronco lol
Joe Stacks Everyone went to 4 door SUVs Ford Explorer and next Ford expedition.
And that’s not all either
@@upshifter5316 I see what you did there.
The 5.8 did not come in a manual only the 5.0 XLT had the 5 speed I own the exact same bronco here in the springs.
Most of the manual transmissions were behind the straight six. Never seen one behind a 5.8 either, wasn’t common to have it behind the 5.0. At least not down here in south Texas.
we LOVE our 1995 Bronco!!!
The auto lockers don't fail they just need to be greased. You're getting ripped off if you are paying for replacement. Literally a 15 minute job and you can do it on the side of the road with a flat head and needle nose pliers
I've never had a problem with my auto locking hubs - 28 years and still work great. Yep, every two years I repack them.
I love these old broncos. And I love the new one too. Can’t decide a new bronco or a new Tacoma... any thoughts or suggestions? This wouldn’t happen until probably 2022
Old bronco
Thats a nice ride I'd pay that all day long
Favorite body style
Eddie Bauer (1899-1986)
I had a fully loaded '95 eggshell white Eddie Bauer. I got about 14 mpg. Keep it stock, bro. But definitely upgrade the brakes.
4200. Absolute steal.
I love these trucks my 96 has 342,000 on it and somehow still runs
Keep them tuned and serviced, and keep an eye on that PCM - They'll keep going.
Update the older tech in the dash. Check out Alpine ILX-F259. ;)
Hmmmm. I spy a Don't Lose Sight sticker 👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome, I have this Exact same Bronco except it’s a 1992 and it’s all stock. I only changed a few things like adding a 6” lift, 35” BFG’s, and a replacement grill guard bumper. Got it as my high school truck and still have it. Love this thing been a Bronco nut since I was a kid. It runs better now than when I got it back in ‘06.
Awesome truck... especially for what he paid for it
Very Nice truck! Had a 96 with the 5.8 ... lifted just 2” with 33” BFG KO2’s. Awesome off road. And very cool with the top removed; it’s heavy, but I was able to remove it by myself with a little forethought and pre-planing 😎 still miss that truck.
I love the Bronco II. I’d love to find one in good shape... especially one with the 80’s/90’s Eddie Bauer package with the pine trees on the seat upholstery and all that... awesome package.
Paid $2900 for a really good 94 when I was living in CO back in 2009. No rust but then I moved out east and a little rust appeared over the rear fender wells. Damn I miss it but I don't miss 13mpg, lol. Hopefully the 6g gets something better.
Never cared for the bigger Broncos. Always loved the originals and II's.
Same here. The II’s are cool
My dream truck is this exact bronco with the white and tan paint. I’m hoping they don’t go up in value too much until I can get one
Always been a GMC/Jeep guy but if i saw that Bronco at $4200 I' would have bought it!
I have a 1992 Bronco, white, 150,000 miles, so it’s literally the OJ truck😂
Pacific Green not forest. I had one from 96 - 2003 just like it. Great truck
Great truck. keep as stock as you can. it will be worth more in the future. I am fixing a 1994 F 250 heavy duty. They are easy to work on and not a complete electrical nightmare like the new ones. Enjoy.
These older trucks are amazing because of that. That's why I love that Toyota still builds the 70 series Land Cruiser so you can get an insanely durable and easy to work on truck.
@@imnotusingmyrealname4566 do you have a link to share for the 70's Toyota? I would like to check it out. Thanks
Bro that’s my dream since I’ve seen them coming out new ! I’ve got two Bumpside Broncos made in Brazil 🇧🇷 but those last model ones especially 351 5.8 V8 Eddie Bauer are something else ❤.
I love this video congratulations from Adelaide South Australia 🇦🇺
I got a '96 4x4 XLT, with all leather, 5.8 EFI, on a 2" lift and 30" wheels, in baby blue, all steel horizontal front grill instead of that plastic chrome, power windows n doors, and nice exhaust.
I would never leave it stock, it's not enough truck stock.
Girls LOVEEE hotboxing in it, they think it's so big and nice ;)
Guess not been in the US makes me not care for famous football player running away on a white Ford Bronco. Anyhow, that Bronco looks fantastic. I can see why someone would be interested in buying it down the road for 15-20k easy
Had a 86 bronco 2 and currently a 90 bronco with 351. I have enjoyed both.
Beautiful!!! Nathan was in a very happy place! Keep her stock outside and wake that 351 up a little, I’d say some thick wallets have sit in the drivers seat in the past👍👍👍
Im building an 86 Bronco. 347 stroked 5.0 roller. Has a trick flow twisted wedge top end kit. Its roughly 500HP
Its my daily. Its been my daily for 4 years now.
I bought mine for 3k. In the same condition.
I was offered 15k as is.
The great thing about these trucks is. Modified or stock. They have a huge following. And retain their value either way.
My advice would be. Keep it! You’ll never find a compatible replacement.
The much more powerful 351. 😂😂 According to my owners manual the 302/5.0 was 200hp, The 351/5.8 was 210 hp.😁😁😁😁
I have a white 1990 Bronco with th3 351W I've been driving since 2000. Its sept 2023 now. This truck is a part of me cuz I have so much blood, sweat and aggravation in it. I'll die owning it. Oh and OJ jokes ??? "Juice" has unwillingly become my nickname at work. Paint that thing white and you'll be on a whole different level with the OJ jokes :)
Man this beautiful 96 Ford Bronco looks extremely beautiful. It looks a million times better than any modern vehicle you see on the road today.
agreed
Stock or modified?
Modified.... Pull the 351 Windsor out and replace with a 460! ....... It will pass everything but a gas station!
Beautiful truck, I have always been a fan of these. When I was a kid a person who lived down the road from me had one. As a young kid I didn't remember the makes and models of most cars, but I remembered this one due to the tire cover with a horse on the back.
Amazing
In El Paso County by the old farms you will find a lot of old broncos, blazers, f150, 250, silverados, cheyennes, jimmys. All well kept and stock. Almost every house has one chilling under a tree or in the backyard.
