I'm rewatching this about 3 years later and realising just how much my own building style reflects Gem's, I started getting into building during the pandemic, the same time as I was watching these videos, since then, not a single roof that I have built has been left without a dark oak border. I now realise how much I have been inspired by Gem, during the Empires series, almost all my buildings had calcite walls, and whilst watching this, I'm building a retaining wall with cobblestone and amethyst. My buildings definitely aren't as good as Gem's but they're much better than the birch plank box I called a hotel about 4 years ago!
In the “far” future you should make a big artificial island in the middle of the lake with a castle on top and connect to the biomes with the different woods and stones

I watched some one off videos Gem made before but this was the series that got me invested into this channel and I watched every video since! It's sooooo cool how this appeared on my feed again, it will definitely be a comfort rewatch. It's also so cool to see how big she got since then, I'm so proud of her.

Several suggestions from a MC survivalist in 1.16: 1. Mob-proof your entire house and surrounding environment. Since you play in Hard Mode, zombies can break down wooden doors. Lighting up nearby area also prevents surprising creepers blow up you and your house. 2. If there's no coal in your inventory, you can use charcoal instead. Since you are living in woods, charcoal is a more viable fuel in this case. 3. Make a shield as long as you have an iron ingot, especially when you play in hard mode and lack armors. My process of crafting with iron ingot in early game is Pickaxe→Shield→Sword→Bucket and Shear→Armors→Other iron tools. You can take this as a reference. As long as you get Diamonds, make Diamond Pickaxe at first. 4. Practice your aiming. An infinity bow makes the game much easier. 5. Cover up your nether portal with at least cobblestone when you enter nether, especially if you unfortunately start your nether adventure in Soul Sand Valley biome. In that case, dig downwards for no hesitation since Soul Sand makes you even harder to dodge Ghast fireballs. 6. If you are in Nether and your portal is accidentally deactivated, and you don't have tools to light up portal, then try to find a Nether Fortress or a Ruined Portal. There's a chance to find a Flint and Steel inside. You may also kill Wither Skeleton to get coal, kill Blaze to get Blaze powder, and kill Ghast to get gunpowder. Combine them to get a fire charge. You may also find a fire charge in a Ruined portal chest. 7. Since you play in Java Edition, it's recommended to use F3 frequently. 8. Keep your good work! A lot of viewers like your video!

So I was talking with my best friend today and mentioned how much i enjoyed watching you and that you were my nr 1 gaming creator watched in my youtube wrapped. He commented that this was very funny, because he'd apparently tried to get me to watch you years ago and i hadn't been interested in the slightest. So I was talking with my best friend today and mentioned how much i enjoyed watching you and that you were my nr 1 gaming creator watched in my youtube wrapped. He commented that this was very funny, because he'd apparently tried to get me to watch you years ago and i hadn't been interested in the slightest. I had no memory of this, but he was able to pull up this video and RUclips did indeed show me that I had watched it in full before XD I'm very glad that even if I didn't catch on in 2020, the people i did watch led me back to your channel eventually and i love it here now!
