Joey on Australian TV
Conner on Welsh TV
All we need now is Garnt on Thai TV and the trifecta will be complete
I Feel like it would be more fitting for Garnt to get on the BBC, considering how much he loves to remind us all how he used to work for them!
Both Connor and Garnt are british and therefore should be featured on the BBC.
@@konplayz Connor is Welsh, not British. As for Garnt, half Thai, half Brit so either would work.
@@ZnakerFIN Every welsh person is also British 😂
@@ZnakerFINyou do realise that Wales is in Britain, right?
I love the headline of “26-year-old man charged with the murder of a man in his 70s” as they’re introducing joey 😂
I thought it was about Joey at 1st until I continued to read lol
That was so funny 😂
I was like, ?Joey's not 26?
That was a very unfortunate coincidence. It's weird they have two headlines up at once, I think.
That WA warning ticker alert below. 😳😅
our boy has grown all up. from making hentai tierlists in his bedroom to starring in live tv
guess you never know LOl
Real
From making hentai tier lists in his bedroom to making hentai tier lists on the Australian national broadcaster.
@@Zelmel now that's the goal
At least he's in TV for a good reason.
not as awkward as Chris being featured in Japanese TV, lol.
FYI: ABC = Australian Broadcasting Corporation 🙂
Australians Broadcasting Content 🌅
In other words “State Run Media”.
FYI: FYI = For Your Information
i thought it meant Asian Bok Choy
Australian black 🐔
The TV spot was surprisingly well organized and packed with key footage from your YT channels, it went fast and smooth and there was great rapport with the hosts; Believe me I've seen plenty of cringe moments by huge name stars on legacy media but this felt very complete.
I still remember both markiplier interviews, the one with jimmy fallan was so hard to watch lmao
Yeah it was pretty well put together
@@muffin9124they actually respected him enough to prep for the interview
that was perfect interview, no awkwardness at all man, cool
right he said awkward and nervous
dude kills it like always with a non intense interview
the only words i’d be able to muster up is “my name a jeff”
Total chad, his delivery on national TV isn’t even awkward. Tbh I feel like he comes across awkward in his regular videos, but here he looked confident as!
@@x.xtrusted3179 seems he went auto pilot. which in this case was perfect
No it wasn't. And that's ok. Not everything needs to be perfect. If he was totally comfortable in that interview it would be a *miracle*
Given how stressful it might have been, he did an amazing job, yes. But it was not the perfect interview. I mean, if you compare him in it to Trash Taste, the difference is stark - he's obviously not as comfortable. Just like people are too eager to criticize, they're also too eager to mindlessly defend. Transparency and constructive criticism are almost absent.
Yeah I was actually a little disappointed just because I was expecting him to actually be awkward so that it'd be relatable lol
It wasn't as awkward as I expected. I think you were able to convey your thought and feelings coherently.
"Are you youtuber?"😂
Oh my fluffy god the was and looks and throly cool kangrats.❤🎉😊
@@Yona-mf7xdMa'am, are you well?
They really should have started with that 😂
@@Yona-mf7xdwho even says fluffy god, like at all!?
@@Yona-mf7xd I wish you a speedy recovery.
Man, don't worry about it, you did a fantastic job on the ABC, proud of you 👍 (ima a fellow Australian)
Why do you have a female repr0ductive organ on your pfp
*clip start with "26-y-o man charged with murder*
*had to remember that Joey is older than that*
Sus
its pretty cool to see that the news anchors, who i imagine probably don't game or watch anime, seemed to have a genuine level of appreciation and respect for what joey does and how much success he's had
That's good journalism right there. They did enough research beforehand to actually be able to engage with their interview subject and get them to properly express what they've been invited over to express.
100% Its so easy for them to poke fun and mock nerds and gamers, this was so refreshing to watch.
Which is surprising considering how terrible Australian media is, we don't have many good journos here.
They're morning show hosts. Their job is to ask softball questions and flatter the interviewee.
@@UltimateGattai I think abc is pretty good at it, it’s not part of the Rupert Murdoch empire which is a plus.
You did good Joey! It was not awkward. :)
Thats what i thought aswell. People criticize themselves too much in post
He probably felt more nervous knowing it was live so if he unconsciously swore or did something else that looked a bit sus, basically any mistake at all, they couldn't just do another take and it would be seen by everyone watching including family and friends. He was probably super self conscious because of that and that made him feel awkward. Like everyone else in the comments I also have to tell him not to worry as he came across absolutely fine.
You didnt seem awkward at all! Seemed super chill and well spoken. You did great 🤗 ✨️✨️
Imagine all the friends who fell off out of Joey friendship and then randomly put ABC and see him there and yell
"HOOOLY SHIIIIT IS JOOOOEEEEY"
😂
doubt anyone his age even saw it on TV
The only people I know who watch free to air tv anymore are over 50 years old.
@@KatsuNoJutsu yeah that's true lmao
That is actually a good interview. The interviewer do their homework and look genuinely interested in what they asking. No over
sensational questions or probing. Just curious and very polite. You did good Joey. Your answer is very professional.
Just like to add, even young people still watch the ABC in Australia. The public channels (the ABC and the SBS channels) still generally have good content like Hard Quiz, Rage, Gardening Australia, cooking shows, World Cinema, and what not. The commercial channels are generally not that good unless you like reality tv.
Nobody watches tv anymore. Just chicks who like "reality" tv.
Loooove hard quiz
Love cracking a coldy and sitting down to Gardening Australia w/ the boys
Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and it's the channel that is owned by all of us. Govt funded with no ads. Congrats on being on the best Australian telly channel.
This interview was actually so respectful and joey was so casual and natural. Expected awkwardness but there didnt seem to be any
oh God. his Ozzy accent is getting stronger~
😂😂 I noticed that too.
Yeah I thought he was gonna start singing crazy train next... Oh wait not that Ozzy...
Aussie
Oh sweet summer child. You haven't heard the truuuuue ocka accents. Joey still sounds pretty damn cultured to me.
It wasn't awkward at all, you did great!
Don't know why people are saying traditional news channels are dead. It's just a different audience. ABC in Australia get 250,000+ live viewers for their morning segments so they still have a pretty big reach that probably doesn't overlap that much with the online demographics that usually watch Joey.
You may have felt awkward, but you were really humble and did the interview really well. Proud of ya, dude.
America has ABC as well. American Broadcasting Company. Its channel 7 for us. I use to watch Saturday morning cartoons on this channel along with Fox5 (before it went to shit), and WB11. Now I just watch the news on my ABC. They don’t do morning cartoons anymore. Lol
You really really seemed natural, not awkward at all. I've been on TV a few times over the years (taking about my comics or events like the Malta Comic Con), even those early early morning TV shows so I can understand how you can still feel nervous inside. But my viewership is Malta... yours is Australia!! You seemed really natural. Good job!
I was absolutely shocked when Joey popped up on the ABC a few weeks ago, for a second I thought it must’ve been someone else. It must be amazing to reach the level of success where you’re asked to appear on national TV. From an Australian fan, we’re proud of you!
You interview so well. It must be super daunting when you're used to being the interviewer but you seemed so natural. Congrats!
Connor appearing on welsh tv

Chris needs to step up his game.
Cant belive he didn't plug nonsense
What do you mean by this

@@mrdozey7361 It's not a commercial if no money changes hands. Guests can talk about whatever they want as long as the host doesn't stop them or production cuts it.
As someone in the same age as the boys I have to say, kudos Mr. Joey Bizinger. Very nice 🎉🎉🎉 ABC has an audoence of 300k daily incl. rewatchables. Cool
You are probably in your own head because you really don't seem as awkward as you think you do. But I get it, we are our own worst critics.
Bro tf u mean awkward 😂😂 you handled that perfectly
I thought the hosts were pushing a lot of anime questions Joey's way.
They probably dont know hes been getting away from anime.
well, he's called the anime man... so yeah, that's just what you get from that
@@ACE99299 why is he trying to get away from anime
@@poutine1469 Cause he's been doing it for a decade and he's not as meek as Garnt to keep catering to his audience constantly even though he's feeling burned out
@@comkioxdGarnt has reduced the amount of anime he's consuming but seeing things like his mushoku tensei review, It's clear to me that he still holds the medium dearly
I think you did great honestly. Explained things well and played well back and forth with the hosts. It was fun to watch
how is this awkwward ??? i thought it was good and you answered well and natrually, better then i ever could
I guess he has a really high standards
Seeing “The Anime Man” on the lower third sent me for some reason😂
Congrats btw!
Such a great interview, you handled those questions so well and were able to keep a natural flow of conversation with the hosts!
I’m so proud of you! I’m Australian and I had no idea you were even on live tv, probably because I watch barely any tv anymore. But either way, its so great that Trash Tastes is doing so well. I kinda get it as well. I can tell you and the boys put so much effort into it. Its all very well deserved.
Your fans in Japan hope to see you on Japanese TV next😊
We have the ABC, the BBC and now we need the CBC and we are done. Oh wait, we already have that.
CBC? Chris Broad Channel?
@@SetiKtCanadian Broadcasting Corporation
What about the other ABC? (I.e. the American Broadcasting Company).
This was a great interview Joey!! The hosts were great and actually showed you and the greater gaming/anime/nerd community the respect it so often doesn't get on mainstream media. Good stuff!
Gidday! Only just discovered your channel and this my third video in! Congrats in the ABC interview! I’m probably in that small percentage who look to RUclips too, can’t remember last time was able to watch early morning teevee (& I’m 60 😂).
Matt the MVP
Wooooooo. Congrats Joey!!!
Thanks to the Matt of the ABC. 🎉
I don't think you were awkward at all mate, you were extremely humble and charismatic! For a 5 minute conversation, you managed to introduce a lot about you and your work. Great stuff!
Damn! I normally watch this program but I MISSED IT on this day. You must’ve gotten up really early. 😮
Watched it lived while on the Tram heading to Dreamhack Melbourne..
For all you people making comment about the news headlines on the bottom of the tv screen. That is common in morning tv on all programs. Joey is extremely popular. I’m 67 and we have been watching his You tube channel for years. He did very well on live tv as he does a lot of live events.
I can see where you'd feel awkward just as an experienced socially awkward person but the interviewers kept the pace and you rolled with their questions pretty smoothly. Nothing to worry about 👍
Of course is awkward because Australian care nothing but themselves and they won't allow anything you say is negative about their "country".
This wasn't awkward at all tbh, I think you handled it incredibly well. You guys have done and said far cringier shit without Australian TV being involved 🤣🤣
Thank you so much for todays video, I'm proud of you joey that you got to experience this , great job 😄👍🏻
Heyyyy that wasn't awkward at all, Joey did it so effortlessly
"Joey Bizinger has been a fan of anime since a young age.
26 year old man charged for murder-"
JOEY WHAT DID YOU DO 😭
That didn't seem awkward to me, you did great, especially being just rushed in too
Chasers War on Everything is a classic. Still just as funny today as the day it aired.
Congrats on being on TV Joey!
I love you called it channel 2 said like a true Australian born in the 90s 😂 and Spicks and specks and chasers was the peak of Australian tv
I love how the news ticker scrolls stories of murder, Harvey Weinstein's rape conviction, dead whales, etc during a whimsical chat with the Anime Man.
Joey dont beat yourself up about the "awkwardness". I thought that was a great interview.
This was sweet, they were kind and intersted. Not akward, maybe wish it was longer. You did good.
As an Australian, I watch a lot of the ABC…. On RUclips.😂
I'm saving this in my favorites. Love how real this feels even though I've been watching you for a few years now.
8:47 man when she said "internet sensation"
yea that expression feels dated ngl. still GOATED Experience🔥🔥🔥 being on national TV is huge🔥🔥🔥
Chaser's War on Everything was one of the best shows ever
I think you did great. Don´t worry about what other people might think
Trash taste “primarily an anime and Japanese pop culture” had me dying
Oh, I dunno. The segment wasn't half bad
cheers
Click Bait Joey you were not even that awkward. All natural.
Boyo, don't worry... it's still kinda sick to be on TV. Even if our gen, the "Millenials", and gen Z do not really watch TV anymore. Still a dub in my book.
BTW, so proud of you man!
When i first started watching your channel i didnt expect you would ever be on national TV network talking about your carrer. I really respect it
whats with the weird jumpcut at exacly 1 second?
Gotta say Joey your Skin looking impeccable
Sorry you're in Melboring.
ABC breakfast is like the lowest form of TV to brag about lmao
I don't feel any awkwardness when you in australian national tv.
God, i haven't heard it called Channel 2 in decades!!!!😮😮
That was a pretty wholesome TV segment, and I think you handled it pretty well! The hosts were also nice, and not condescending and rude as some can be about nerd culture on other channels across the globe.
It didn’t come across too awkward on the TV Joey. If that means anything at all.
First the cameo on that anime song ranking show on Japanese TV, and now this.
Damn. You were super well spoken on the live TV segment, props! I imagine in such a quick rush it'd be easy to get tripped up and not find the correct words but you did fantasticly!
I know ABC from the Pendulum remix. Greetings from Spain
As an Aussie I remember when they started showing Mychonny and Communitychannel on TV and the hosts clearly did not get this new medium and were so out of touch. Its so awesome seeing how much you're respected here. Congrats!
It wasn't that awkward at all, think you did great!
I think you handled it well, actually. You were well spoken and genuine, so I think you were just nervous, but it doesn't show.
so Matt the abc cameraman is a viewer of hentai... thats interesting....
that was not awkward at all you did very good ^^
I can hear the nerves but you were coherent and didn't stutter.

bro, you did better then most!
Oh my goodness so many whales were found stranded on a beach 🥺
That sounds awesome being on Australian live TV

That's completely understandable, just moving out of your home country isn't denouncing your Country {Though I'd want to denounce where I live, Ireland}
Look Ireland just sucks, If and when I can ever leave.
Anyway it's Interesting to hear that Joey was on Live TV {That can understandably be very awkward} but I'm glad he's happy to be back in Australia^^
Would you call this " a cross promotional ?" The taxpayers Aunty plugged you're E biz in Japan and the Nerd Festival .
and your YT vid basically returned it with a "....Yeah ..I know nobody watches morning TV anymore ...but it was still kind of cool ..if your into that retro type of TV Flatforming " . How quaint !
Holy moley ...so they really are trying to get rid of the "*Free* To Air" television !
Wazari-awasete- Ippon! 🚩 🤣
First 5 seconds of the video - 'Hmm... Does Joey have makeup on? A bit random... Oh well, shouldn't judge, maybe going for a new look.'
4 and a half minutes later - 'Ah, there we go. Dude isn't having an internal crisis.'
Why does this make me feel like a proud mom 😂😂😂
Goddamn ABC's vibes seem so wholesome. Love it. ABC is Australia's national broadcaster by the way. The equivalent in Japan is the NHK. Best channel in Australia. Good stuff mate.
Don't be too concerned about acting awkwardly on ABC News Breakfast; these days, not many people here in Oz watch free-to-air television, let alone ABC News Breakfast. It has the lowest ratings of all breakfast programming; watched mostly by people living in isolated rural areas. 😄
