Well I say Mr Logan, you do look dashing in Santa hat, but I can't believe you made yer mate Dave wear one as well! Posh Newmarket rug too! Thank you both for another year of great vids, and here's looking forward to the next. Merringly Crimbold, hic. 😁
Nice walk, Dave. You broke the habit of a lifetime and came in the winter. It's lovely walking in those conditions, with the long shadows and frost on the grass. I didn't think Logan would cross the stream via that fallen tree. I expected him to leap across. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Great New Year.
I've now watched all your New Forest videos and found them really enjoyable & informative. I think the New Forest National Park Authority should give you some recognition as you are a real credit to the area and have certainly inspired us to visit the Forest more often. Whenever we have visited and gone over the first cattle grid it feels we are entering a different world. Love it!
Thank you Mike. Most of my early films were in the New Forest and, as I was new to it all, I am afraid the production (particularly the editing) was not that good. Hopefully, over the last 4 years or so, the "quality" has improved ... if only slightly! I hope to continue making films in the New Forest going forward - even if it means going to areas that I have filmed before. Thank you for your kind comments and indeed for watching!
@@DaveFord Have you covered Setley Plain on a walk? It would be dead handy to have a location map of your various walks. Is that something you've considered?
@@mikewalker8655 Hi Mike. One of my earlier films was made at Setley Pond (so the production wasn't that good). In those early days, I put a "rough" map up on screen near the start of the video. I didn't have my Facebook page up and running then. These days, I always include a detailed map of the route within the relevant post that I put up on Facebook (just go to "Dave's Countryside Walks" on Facebook & type in the name of the walk in the "search" option - and it should bring up the correct post. Here is the link to that old video: ruclips.net/video/MBVXe2WkJn8/видео.html
Thanks to you and Logan for your lovely walks I love watching you both we live in bromley kent and always come down to studland for a break when ever we can look forward to watching your new walks many thanks for sharing
Rather late catching up this week. A very enjoyable winter walk Dave. The Logan outake at the end raised a smile! All the best for 2023. Looking forward to watching the new walks.
Although this is fairly local to me I don’t think I’ve walked this ‘nook’ of the forest. Definitely on the list for March next year when I’m back in Blighty. Thank you Dave & Logan for making all these wonderful videos throughout 2022 they really are a joy to watch and of course to experience the walks in person. Merry Christmas to you all, Dave, Logan & family. 🎄 🎅
Not sure how easy it would be for deer to climb up to their seat, someone should install a ramp! I love watching Logan in your videos, he's such a well behaved, well trained dog, he does you proud. Well, most of the time. Merry Christmas Dave, I'd buy you a pint if I was local. I look forward to '23.
Loved this winter walk, thank you Dave! Another nostalgic walk for me, a place we would walk as a family when I was a young girl. Pretty certain the bridge is the one I used to like to play Poohsticks on! And the John Barleycorn was always a favourite for Sunday roast. Thank you and a happy new year to you and Logan.
Logan has the right idea to stay Warm "RUN" Loved the big oak. Hot soup sounds good. Look forward to your walks next year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and family.
Merry Christmas Dave, Mrs Ford, Logan and Fiver. Thank you so much for your brilliant videos. Looking forward to seeing more adventures in the New Year. 😊❄️🌟
@@DaveFord My daughters Old English Sheep dog was a clown in his boots and did a silly walk for a while. Monty Python would have been proud of him lol Ralphie, loved going out in the snow. Logan looks to be a very intelligent boy. Dogs are such a joy.
Thank you for braving the cold to give us another lovely video, which I've enjoyed watching here in New Zealand where it's already Christmas Eve. Good that you were both wrapped up against the cold, but maybe Logan needs some boots! Have a great Christmas, and I'll look forward to seeing more of your videos in the months to come. From experience, I would say that you need to keep a few coming even during the winter in order to maintain your viewing figures, so I hope you can do that.
Thanks Jim and indeed best wishes to you. I have managed to film a few extra videos during the Summer / Autumn that will come out over the next couple of months before I kick on with the 2023 season.
Thanks Dave for your vids, i really enjoy them, and often try and find some of the places you point out on your walks when im visiting the New Forest, Happy New Year to you and Logan.
Lovely winter walk, beautiful colours. Thank you and

Nothing like a winter walk on a crisp day.

Thank you Jane and indeed thanks for watching. I hope that you enjoy the future videos in the series.
What a beautiful frosty walk! The navigation looked quite tricky in places and impressed with all the fording of the icy streams - finally...
It was a "challenging" route at times but good fun! Hope you have a lovely Christmas Jean.
