Another great adventure and just the right length (time). Great country we live in and good to hear that the tracks are suitable for the Africa Twin. . Thank you.
Hi Mike, I can't help agreeing with all of that. Matter of fact while enjoying a pie at Omarama two riders pulled up and one of them had a brand new Ducati Desert Storm. They had done the same Manuherikia crossing the day before. Getting the A T up behind Mt Keyburn wouldn't off any awkward challenges, so it would be a really interesting deviation without consuming gollops of time.
Another beautiful scenic tour, fantastic countryside, I would love to spend a couple of sunny days hanging at the hut ! Also really good to see other adventurers out there enjoying it all 👍
Appreciate your feed-back Lindsay. Perhaps you might get lucky and have the company of those two horse riders at that hut lol.... Actually its quite bland through there but it comes together nicely, especially on a nice day. Cheers mate.
Thank heavens for the lady in blue on the bike eh Darryl, otherwise you may have up or in creek without a paddle for quite sometime 😂 . That’s one road I’ll ride when I come down in Feb 2024 Keep the great vids coming
Thanks Dennis, appreciate your support and..... I'll do my best to keep them coming. There are only two more uploads from the 300 Honda series. From there I'll hook onto some unfinished Africa Twin rides from 2022. Watch that space. 👍
Yes it was a most enjoyable day Dennis, good for toning up the river crossing skills. I never had any nearly 'moments', apart from the second to last crossing. Getting off the bike was too big a challenge when I got stuck because I risked falling over if I tried swinging my leg over the tail bag. If the lady hadn't been able to help me move I could have got off the bike while she steadied it I guess. Cheers
Haha, around the next corner, Oh, that sounds so familiar, much like over the next hill.😂 My arch-enemy those fords. I broke my leg competing in an enduro crossing a ford up the back of Nightcaps in Southland many many moons ago. I was riding the predecessor to your CRF the XR250R. Nice bike. Enjoyable video again, thanks Darryl.
I chuckled at your comment Darrel. Its been the bane of my life although not unpleasant, the need to satisfy one's curiosity what's over the other side of that mountan or around that corner. You could say its part of the dna of us adventure riders and travellers in general. Cheers Mate.
Hi Noel, yep you're right about that. I knew for sure I'll be back. There's some awesome riding to done up there. Its an ok route via Buster Hut to Otemata via the Otemata River. The area is an awesome play ground. Thanks for watching.
Just watched the video. That is so funny that I posted the same video up yesterday of me heading up the Mt Kyeburn track also. It is a great track. Enjoyed your video. I also did the West Omarama track earlier this year by myself which you can view in my earlier videos. I did it from south to north so managed to get the harder river crossings out of the way first. It's definitely a track you don't want to do by yourself if the river levels are up. You can say that again Kevin. Read my reply to Dennis Roberts, it kind of describes the predicament of the moment lol....
Awesome watch Daryl keep them coming!!

Great video and loved the multiple river crossings

Amazing kiwi. Yes I would hesitate going down the river on my Africa Twin by myself for sure. I left a message on your channel.
