The Court of Owls seem like the big boss of Bat Man. Also, the character designs are bad because they were in beta, but DC made action figure designs with the beta designs, so the production team was forced to keep the beta designs.

Something interesting about this Dollmaker, is that the movie's producer/animator, James Tucker, has revealed on Tweeter that they had made a post-credit scene in which we would see his lair again FPS view style, all dark and scary, then we'd see a bloody gurney, and the final shot would be of Joker's face nailed to a wall. It was obviously done to hype up a future *Death of the Family* movie(s), but he was told to remove it... The higher-ups had decided to have the DCAMU focus more on the Teen Titans/Justice League for a while, rather than spending too much time on the Batfamily This would prove to be true, as even if the next DCAMU was "Batman: Bad Blood", it would be followed by 6 TT/JL/SS/Superman movies before going back to Batman with "Hush".

I dont know if i would say that this is the darkest Batman film. I think Return of the Joker or Gotham by Gaslight might have it beat. Even Mask of the Phantasm is pretty dark given that it has actual murders in it and the scene of Arthur when he loses it to the Joker gas is pretty dark too.
Absolutely agree. All three, however, Gotham by gaslight is easily the darkest in my opinion. That first murder was SO brutal. The voice actress was great for that scene.

The trilogy of this to me is the best batman and robin ever. Son of Batman, Batman vs Robin and Batman Bad Blood what got me liking Damian Wayne, him and Bruce both act alike and fun fact: this version of damian wayne robin costume idea came from Sam Hamm's Batman Returns script.

in comics batman got his ass kicked in front of Damien by Talon. It was the first time Damien ever saw him lose that bad. It definitely showed Damien that his father is mortal and can lose. Talon offered to train Damien specifically in techniques batman wouldn't because they were to dangerous. Since Damien was stubborn and wanted to learn he decided to go with talon.
I'm happy you're able to change your mind, that's a real sign of strength that's sorely lacking these days. I also really liked this film and it also made me understand why someone might like the Court Of Owls as a concept. I had little expectations since im home sick this past week and just drowning in a Batman rabbit hole so this one was next in the line up and felt like a chore to watch kinda like ok i gotta finished what i started and bro i was blown away! I totally agree w every point you made. This was supposed to be my last Batman movie of the day and i even put it on guessing I’ll probably fall asleep. 40 min into it I am not only glued to the TV but making these gasping sounds during scenes as if I was holding on to my pearl necklace 😂, I never ever verbally react to anything I watch since I’m a movie junkie and apathetic and a movie has to be be amazing for me to be engaged, stay off my phone much as less making noises where even my dog got freaked out like wtf is happening to mom is she ok ? And I’m not saying this is the greatest shit I’ve ever watched no not like by a long shot but my expectations were so low prior to putting it on and did it more out of some obsessive need to see them all that I was totally caught by surprise by it. Bro, I didn’t even react like this for any Nolan trilogies and not cause they weren’t good but because the bar was already set high for it, not even the latest Twilight Batman did I have a reaction like this cause I’m still experiencing cognitive dissonance on that one and torn. But this no name obscure animated movie caught me so off guard that having NO expectations was an exhilarating bonus for me . I’m debating if I should start addressing every single aspect of my life with this same mindset. Like literally set the bar so low for my experiences that I can have a peak levels of enjoyment 😂😂. While The Court of Owls obviously takes all the attention I feel that this films plot actually takes more inspiration from The New 52 Batman & Robin series by Peter Tomasi. The Damien/Talon relationship in this film is nearly exactly the same as Morgan Ducard "Nobody" leading Damien astray in the first volume of that series.
If I can change, and Vee Infuso can change, EVERYBODY CAN CHANGE!! Damian Wayne can be a tolerable character given the right story. Also Owls are far from harmless.
In some of the comics, alfred has something like 30+ guns hidden throughout the manner and cave that bruce CANNOT find. in some issues alfred has killed people in defense of the manor

Funny enough, I actually watched this one recently! It’s great to see Batman and family without the regulations and such that the live action shows have. Oh! Speaking of shows that have regulations on superheroes though! If you haven’t seen it yet, maybe you ought to check out the show Powerless with Vanessa Hudgens. It’s only 12 episodes, and I think it’d be cool to hear your review on it :)
The fact that batman gets beaten up a lot is somewhat because of the comic it is based off of. The comic run that came before the comic the movie is based off of had batman becoming an invulnerable god more or less, above every one of his opponents. So the writers of the comic that the movie is based off of wanted him to become more vulnerable.
Everyone always underestimates how ruthless Alfred truly is when you mess with his family, man's is literally ex-SAS, he's killed men who trusted him while looking them in their eyes, Batman doesn't hold Alfred to the same "no kill bad guy" standard as the rest of the bat family
I’ve always enjoyed the Juxtaposition of Alfred and Bruce. Many people forget that Bruce does have a few people that he doesn’t force his code on while still working with. Alfred has always been one of those people, whether due to being a father figure for Bruce that he feels he doesn’t have the right to impose on or just the shear fact that Alfred is Old A.F. and just doesn’t care to follow that creed. Regardless of the reason, I always love it when villains get cocky and come after the old man or the manor only to be put down by the butler. Alfred has 0 problems with finishing that fight and all future fights in the most permanent of manners, and I chuckle every time the villains forget that stand-your-ground laws exist.
I don't mind Alfred popping off. Reminds me of that panel that went around saying something (paraphrasing here) while Bruce is his master and takes a vow of against lethal force, alfred on the otherhand "doesn't subscribe to such niceties"🤣👌

Regardless of the reason, I always love it when villains get cocky and come after the old man or the manor only to be put down by the butler. Alfred has 0 problems with finishing that fight and all future fights in the most permanent of manners, and I chuckle every time the villains forget that stand-your-ground laws exist.

I don't mind Alfred popping off. Reminds me of that panel that went around saying something (paraphrasing here) while Bruce is his master and takes a vow of against lethal force, alfred on the otherhand "doesn't subscribe to such niceties"🤣👌
