I'm aware. However this combo is more aimed at record chasing not racing. The spool time would be an issue racing the combo. But just setting records I'd rather have the extra spool time and not add the extra weight of a nitrous system. I also run for records in much better air. If you look at later videos you will see spool time is much quicker in the better air. Believe it went from 7 seconds to 4 seconds roughly. Just in altitude and air change.
Yes sir, I have 16an lines ran to where the rad was and the pump but the rad had a hole so I had to buy a new one. I just looped the lines and let it circulate water. Whole system is about 2.5 gallons.
Why do people going for the sloppy stage 2 5.3 setup upgrade to the ls9 headgaskets? Are most people re using their factory lifters given how hard they are to find new now and the higher costs of the ls7 lifters? Thanks
Don’t use the ls9 gaskets. Get the small bore “ls9” style gaskets from btr. Nobody reuses factory lifters. I mean I did last year but felt like it was a ticking time bomb. You can go ls7 lifters or the Cadillac race lifters if your not gunna spring for some good lifters. Some corners shouldn’t be cut. It’ll cost ya more than the good part later
@@nsboost thank you for recommendation, I’m currently putting my parts list together 👍🏻. Do you happen to have a part number or brand for those lifters? Are they the $330 gm performance lifters or the Delphi brand $140 oem? Thanks
why are you running coolant if you are a strictly a drag car you don't drive it on the street have you ever thought about it? I don't know if you would get less life out of your motor by doing so but I would think it would be nicer to know you wouldn't push coolant and bend a rod maybe that's just a aluminum rod thing.
I don't want to have to be drug to and from each pass, I also feel if the block isn't filled, running no water is going to make it weaker than having water in it.
Hell yeah she’ll be lined out soon !! Can’t wait to see it lined out and doing damage.
Me too man! Thanks again for the help and video!
good job getting it out there and making it down the track.

What system do you use for 16 injectors
It's a holley dominator with an extra injector driver box.
What copper spray are you using when you put your head gaskets on?
Just permatex copper spray you can get anywhere
were you running water in the block and heads, just without a rad?

Hopefully I get there one day lol
👍💪
You back on yt more now?
Yes sir will be documenting the whole process with this car.
@@SquirrelTuned thank you 👍🏻

Most of my customers go a little higher end with BTR cams and springs and get LS7 lifters so I don't have the best answer for that.

@@nsboost I agree with the small bore gaskets for sure. Wish they had them when I put mine together.

First set of passes. Lol

Once you get everything dialed in you're going to be making some steam ‼️ looking forward to seeing what you can get this to do.
Thanks! I think it is going to fly for sure!
