    YOU JUST SAVED MY ASS. I’ve been getting the BC error, then I messed with it a bunch and must have pressed the F12 button because my shutter wasn’t working properly and I thought my camera was broken but watching this I realized it was in the F12 Mirror up mode or whatever it’s called. INSANE. Thank you so much. I would have NEVER guessed this as a setting or figured it out.

    Do you know it the exposure level indicator blinking can be switched off? I swear I thought it was something wrong with the N1 I just got. I know in Manual mode disappears but I'm an Av shooter most of the time and every time I look at the LCD, it drives me crazy!!! Hey thanks for the tutorial by the way.

    What happens when your shutter isn’t firing accordingly to the shutter speed you selected?😢

    • @photographyandmore
      @photographyandmore  Год назад

      Hi,
      That means you need to take your camera to a specialized technician to adjust the shutter speeds.

      Hello Life in Kolor,
      That's the Quick control dial switch, with this control we can enable (1) or disable (0) the Quick control dial (is the big dial in the back of the camera)
      The Quick control dial has some functions like to set the desired exposure compensation amount, in mode manual "M" we can turn the quick control dial to set the desired aperture.

    Thanks for the review! I'd like to shoot wirelessly with my EOS 1N (self-portrait). I heard there exists somewhere a wireless controller that mounts on the hot shoe and into the T3 connector, to shoot from around 100 meters away. Would you know where I can find this? Thank you so much!

    Hey i have a question. I got a little comma or like a arrow type thing under the -1 on my light meter when looking at my screen. Is there any way i can get rid of it. It somehow got there and is very strange to look at. It doesn't affect the pictures at all and just sits there. I tried everything and its still there even the reset all settings button didn't fix the problem.

    • @photographyandmore
      @photographyandmore  3 года назад

      Hello Siim,
      The point under the numbers of the lightmeter is the index what indicate the value of the exposition, to move it to 0 can use the shutter speed or the aperture value.

      Hello JJ Whitley,
      The function to deactivate the beep when in focusing is only available for the 1N -RS model, it is the customizable function number 12.

    What happens if you set your ISO more than the film stock ISO, the example I am using LOMO 800 and I set ISO 3200 the same principles of photography are applicable such as it becomes granny or I get a black roll (what I'm afraid actually )?

    • @photographyandmore
      @photographyandmore  2 года назад +1

      Hi,
      When using the camera there is no change in how to expose the film, you must continue to pay attention to the exposure meter. The problem comes at the time of developing the film, so you must inform the laboratory where you take the film to be developed, that it was exposed by setting the value of 3200 in the camera and not 800 as it should have been.

      Hi!
      So there will be no effect on the frame if I would set for example 800 iso on 1V settings while using portra 160?

    • @Alext146
      @Alext146 2 года назад

      I mean how exactly iso setting works on v1? Iso is property of film (matrix in digital), so setting bigger iso should somehow affect shutter speed on v1?

    What is different about this model verses the model with RS on it?

    • @photographyandmore
      @photographyandmore  4 года назад +2

      Hi Jeff,
      Basically on the battery and how many frames per second it can take.
      Canon EOS 1N uses One 6 V 2CR5 lithium battery, and Canon EOS 1N RS uses eight 1.5 V size-AA alkaline or lithium batteries. Or Ni-Cd Pack E-1.
      Canon EOS 1N has Two film advance modes including approx. 3 fps and three modes including approx. 6 fps with power drive booster (One-Shot AF / manual), and Canon EOS 1N RS has Film advance speed: In RS mode (CH) approx. 10 fps, in RS mode (CL) approx. 3 fps, in One-Shot AF and manual mode (CH) approx. 6 fps, in One-Shot AF and manual mode (CL) approx. 3 fps, in AI-AF mode (CH) approx. 5 fps, in AI-AF mode (CL) approx. 2.5 fps.
      * CH is high-speed continuous mode, and CL is low-speed continuous mode. (The maximum film advance speed in the RS-CH mode is attained with 1/1000 sec. Or faster shutter speeds. For the other modes, the maximum film advance speed is attained with 1/250 sec. Or faster shutter speeds. In the RS mode, the shutter release time lag is 0.006 sec.

    • @Digital_Photog1995
      @Digital_Photog1995 4 года назад

      Actually the difference is more then frame rate. Based on the EOS-1N, the EOS-1N RS has a fixed, semi-transparent pellicle mirror with a hard coat. The shutter release is completed in 0.006 sec.

    • @JeffSpeers
      @JeffSpeers 4 года назад +1

      Fred Stafford it doesn’t have a mirror that moves out of the way like every other SLR? The mirror stays in between the lens and film? If so, how much exposure loss does that cause?

    • @Digital_Photog1995
      @Digital_Photog1995 4 года назад

      Jeff Speers The mirror doesn’t move by design. Exposure differences are all take care of with the metering system. I don’t own this model but I do have the EOS 1N-HS work great. Look this one up on the Canon web sight. global.canon/en/c-museum/product/film177.html
