- Alligator bellows, a horse snort and Indominus rex chattering (0:32) were put together to create Giganotosaurus sounds for the Jurassic World: Dominion Prologue.
“We wanted something that had a different personality,” says Al Nelson. “We thought about what had already been used. We’d used pigs, we’d used elephants in the case of the T-Rex, we’d used big cats like tigers and lions, so what new flavours can we use that still make it sound dangerous? How can I come up with something that’s large and has dramatic vocalisation and can sound intimidating and unique?
“I decided I wanted to record big stallions. When a stallion is near a mare during mating season, they get crazy. When they’re arguing for territory or arguing for access to food or just anxious, they scream, they bellow, they make some very dangerous sounds. And they’re big animals so they produce a lot of air. They sound angry to me, but they might not be angry. I don’t know what the horse would tell you they’re feeling, but they definitely have personality.
Once the field sounds are captured by multiple recorders in different parts of the animal’s environment (in order to capture a diverse array of sounds), Nelson then begins mixing them at a sound desk - for the new film they added sounds to the stallion noises, including “an ancient female lion who did these raspy desperate bellows.”
Discussing his process across the Jurassic Park franchise, he adds: “It’s taking that stallion scream, and that lion ‘oof,’ and morphing that. Sometimes it’s [blending] one into the other, sometimes it’s one followed by the other. We generally pitch them down a bit; sometimes not, but we manipulate the pitch, and if we’re doing our job right it sounds like one unique voice. Развлечения

I love to hear the roar of a dinosaur and This is music to my ears. Dinosaurs are the biggest creatures the earth has ever known and Dinosaurs make prehistoric nature awesome. Thank you so much for this video, I really appreciate it. 🙂👍🦖
I love the fact they actually went with crocodilian sounds!
Yeah and also makes sense from a paleontological POV as crocodiles and dinosaurs are both Archosaurs.
@@WhyTho525 That doesn't mean it shoud sound crocodilian
Birds are archosaurs too yet sound nothing like crocodilians
@@gergopiroska5749
That maybe right, but we can't really say that all of them sounded like giant birds or that all of them sounded crocodilian either.
So *satisfying* i'm going to listen to it every night before i sleep and for other reasosns! 😌♥️👑 dinosaurs sounds and roars alwyas gave me adrenaline when i watch movies!🤘
Amazing
0:11-0:12 They used a bear roar for the Giganotosaurus too.
Yeah it's obviously Indominus roar but with the bear sound tho
Honestly any animal could make such sound. A bear, dog, pig, walrus maybe even a slow-downed bird. The sound is very simple but very effective.
@@MrSserpent I see.
This giga os beautifull
The giganotossaurus is male
@@megaap1411 giga is not male, Colin Trevorrow use pronoun to giga as “her” in interview so giga is female
Cool
Cool and also pretty scary
I don't know why I like the 2nd sound the best. Giga is actually my 3rd favorite dinosaur
I think that’s because it’s very human-voice-like.
It's clucking sounds like a Giant chicken which makes sense since birds most likely chickens are the closest relatives to theropod dinosaurs
Sounds a bit of Indominus Rex roar but since his own original roar so I like his roar tho
that's because in Jurassic world they used giganotosaurus to help make indominus rex
@@jodiehevey159 I know for that
Can't wait to see this guy in action
Best dinosaur
The first one is my favorite
Have you ever done the sharpteeth sounds from the land before time franchise before?

0:12 is my favorite sound
I love this sound pls make t Rex roar sounds pls
Hello rex
It has a few Godzilla rumbles here. (0:12).
According to the jurassic park wiki, they used lion and horse sounds for the giganotosaurus
Ever wondered how the wiki retrieved this information?
@@MrSserpent I suppose that they got it from interviews or articles about the movie since they got the details right for the T.rex and the Indominus.
N.B: They also used alligator sounds for the giga

0:27 i thought this sound was from therizinosaurus
Well both giga and therizino have some indominus sounds since the indominus rex had dna of giga and therizi
You think they might briefly use the Giganotosaurus roar from Jurassic World Evolution? Speaking of which, what animals do you think were used to make that roar? It sounded too guttural to be a lion or tiger, and that moaning sound that is heard when it is roaming or being killed in battle sounds like a whale, but would they even use a whale for this dinosaur? And finally two small requests. If you do custom roars, do you think you could do custom allosaurus roars combining the Fallen Kingdom and Battle At Big Rock roars, and when the movie comes out and you have all the sounds of Giganotosaurus, do you think you could combine those with the evolution roars.
Considering Jurassic World Evolution - No, I think they didn't. They (movies and JWE) are often quite separate from each other... maybe even too often. You may look and listen to game variant of Allosaurus.
I've written down the animals I'm 100% sure were used to make these sounds in the description.
So it's a whale after all? Interesting. Thank you for clearing it up! The same whale sound was used for the Indominus rex in the first Jurassic World.
Why would they do this? Well, the sound is used if it works. The film directors and viewers usually don't care, pay attention or recognize sources of such noises. It should suit the creature, its emotional state and make the viewer perceive. And we know that in this universe the sound is actually heard from the Indominus so it's a nice nod to the fact that Giga is in its genetic makeup.
I was thinking about combining juvenile and adult Allosaurus sounds but I was afraid somebody has already done this.
We'll see about that. For now I don't really see the reason because they're pretty similar. They lay on each other very well and easily so people may simlply not get the fact they're two sounds mixed.
@@MrSserpent okay, but I’ve looked all over the internet and I can’t find any videos that combine the Fallen Kingdom and Battle At Big Rock sounds, so I don’t think anyone has done that.
