I was going to say you should just get that riff from some tabs or music sheets, but then you did... No reason to spend all the time recreating it by ear when it's a such famous riff. Although, messing around with it yourself can lead to happy accidents
Usually, I can figure out what the notes are by ear, but I just couldn't get it right. Ironically, I think I had the right notes fairly early on, but I changed it
