For those of you worrying about the fabric fraying. My mum always lined her works with a very thin layer of clear nail polish. Not thick mind you, a thin layer. Hope that helps ❤
Thanks for showing this! I have been trying to figure how to make a bookmark! I don’t have a sewing machine, but could I use a different fabric for the back and still do the blanket stitch?
You can do the blanket stitch with a different fabric for the back by hand sewing. As shown in the video, I used Aida fabric for the outer fabric and felt for the back😊
@@user-ud2vr7wq3o This method will prevent the edges from fraying, but the corners may fray a bit. If you want to make it less fraying, you can apply fray check along the edge lines after blanket sketching. Thanks😀
IDK if you're still wondering, but I think felt or a different heaver/thicker fabric works best. A light/thin fabric wouldn't be strong enough. But I'm just thinking IDK for sure.
Thanks this really helps!
Veru useful tutorial, thank you
This video has been the most helpful!!! Thank you!!!!
Thank you for sharing. I was thinking of how to finish the outer stitching!
This was really helpful, thank you! x
