This is just one of the many reasons we have and will always be fans of Eric the Car Guy. Its not just the great content
Hopefully you can write off all of these donations from your taxes. Great that you're helping others out while you regroup.
Only those items he purchased himself. As he explained, things like his lift were sent to him to be used, he didn't buy it. I think that's one of the reasons he's giving some of this away.
So disappointed. Is this a scam? Sent $133 for shipping on something Eric didn't need. After PayPal payment, then get a text to send another $200 for an "Import Fee". What's going on here Eric? Did someone hijack your thread??
Hmmm. Just counted 60 entries stating "TEXT ME"... Contact the number above for interaction on claiming your parcel... WTF is going on here??
Eric responded to my email, stating that some bastage has been trolling his comments. Be careful.
@@terryzak1742 Yes, these are VERY well known scambots. Anytime there is a mention of "giveaway", "contest" or even "for sale" items, they hit and hit hard. It gets worse for some, as many have been hit by messages coming from "WhatsApp" stating the creators name, and saying "YOU WON, but we mis-calculated and need $50 or $100 in added freight costs"...this is really true in some of the PC Give-aways. One would think that YT would be able to EASILY filter this, but they just refuse, which screams "we get a cut".

Just imagine how many mechanics Eric has molded over the years, a lot of the stuff you’ve taught through your videos sticks with my naturally now from over the years, I find myself doing something and I’ll remember I learned this from Eric, and I also teach some people the same things I know when times present them.

@@ericthecarguy You taught me to replace a Ford Focus clutch. It was my first real car job. I did it on a 2004 Ford Focus Station Wagon, with the 1.6 liter petrol. It took me 2 months in my parents driveway. It became my first car and I sold it with a slight profit after half a year.
You gave me the confidence to never think it's impossible to do my own mechanics work. If I can do a clutch, I can replace anything - I basically had the entire engine out for that! Thanks for that.

Eric, thank you for the professional vids, entertainment and laughs. I'll never forget the spring compressor episode 🤣. And especially the hints and procedures so we all can "Stay Dirty".

For anyone interested in that pallet rack, you can lift up the bottom shelf and use it above a workbench, and with some mods and a light weight hoist to lift heavier objects up off your bench. I'm nowhere near, but they are super handy and sturdy.
Technically, Eric has been giving away his knowledge to us all for over a decade.

That’s sad 😔 Eric best wishes I learned a lot from you here on your channel, that reminds me when my dad had to empty the shop because rent was about $6000 a month ,so he send all the tools to DR decided to make a building in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 now he owns the building 4 apartment and the mechanic shop on the bottom he saids he’s happy

Wow.. Good way to wash your hands and not have to worry about storing everything in It.
Its tough.. But will save you stress in the end. Hopefully vendors will help next time.
Although I lost out on the engine hoist or lift is what I meant, it is going to a good cause and a good home and I'm very very happy about that
Eric, I really think the bright side of this move is you get to have a fresh start. I am sure there was a lot of stuff that you didn't need or want, but you couldn't let go of it until fate forced your hand.
Fate has played a hand in many aspects of my life. Things seem to work out in the end. I'm sure it will be the same for this situation. Thank you for your kind words.

This is awesome but also a little sad. So many great videos we’ve all enjoyed, the Fairmount build and Dad’s Truck…all done thanks to these tools. I still remember when you got that lift and showed us for the first time. Best of luck Eric and everyone who got the tools.

I give you a LOT of credit for keeping such a positive attitude about such a bad situation too, there's no way I would be able to. I wish I still lived in Ohio, I would definitely love to help. Hello Eric. It may be a bit out of your way but have you considered looking in the north Kentucky area for shop space? I am in Erlanger and there are quite a lot of places with spaces for rent.
