Great Video ! I've been to Medicine Grizzly Lake on two different occasions but never up to the pass, maybe next time. My favorite parts are the meadow leading up to the lake and standing by the big waterfall at the head of the lake and looking back down the valley. That waterfall would be headwaters of Cutbank going all the way to the Atlantic. Was this hike in April 2023 or later in the summer ? Looks much warmer than April but maybe not. Thanks again for sharing and plan to watch your other GNP videos. Headed back there in 2024.
The waterfalls are otherworldly 👍🏼! It’s so quiet over there it’s great! I’m pretty sure it was the first part of August, we had absolutely perfect summer weather compared to the year prior. Glacier is so good👍🏼! Cheers!
Another great video! Love your adventures! I'm heading to Kananaskis country in Alberta next week for some late winter hikes. Will be my first time there. Can't wait!
@@TheMountainMatt Ha Ling Peak for sure. If snow conditions are okay then Little Lougheed and Wasootch Ridge. I'll probably do either Chester Lake or Rawson Lake. Looking forward to your video next month!
Love your channel! I did Triple Divide Pass a few years ago. Never thought to drop down to the lake. Next time. I've got a hike recommendation for you. Shanghai La in the Many Glacier Valley. From the Swiftcurrent Pass Trail...bushwack up a drainage to a mountain plateau with a lake. Cross the plateau & drop down a scree field to Iceberg Lake, then out on the trail. We saw only 1 person on the off trail portion of the hike & 3 grizzlies! Highly recommend.
OOOO YEAH! I talked with the owner of Mountain Pine Motel in East Glacier who suggested that exact adventure 😄👍🏼 ! We opted for Mount Grinnell instead. Next time I head out there I think I'm going to look at that and possibly add "the notch" up to Ice Berg Peak. Great minds think alike 😁!
@@TheMountainMatt If your going to do the notch, look into taking the goat trail from Ptarmigan Tunnel then down Iceberg Notch. I haven't done it yet but it looks wild! P.S. I see your from MN. I'm from WI. We're living in the wrong states! LOL!
Just for info purposes but what are you doing about the new permit policy for making videos? I have been hesitant to make any videos this year in the National Parks so far until I find out what other are doing. I think the policy is just an aboslute money grab.
@@TheMountainMatt Let's hope so as the application fee, extra charges for more than 2 people and the $50 an hour ranger fee is absurd. I really don't understand what they are trying to accomplish as small creators are not distrubing anyone else nor are they taxing the park resources. I guess that I am just going to roll the dice and see if they enforce it. Great video incidently and I love how your family is out there also.
Awesome view very beautiful place
I could go there every year and not be bored 😁 cheers!
Love the scenery
Doesn’t get much better than Glacier 👍🏼
Good stuff as always! 👍
Thanks Drew! I appreciate ya! 👍🏼
Gosh this video makes us want summer!!!
The season is coming quickly 😁! I’m spending 2 weeks in the PNW this summer, can’t wait! Cheers!

Really enjoyed this video! Definitely makes me want to check out this entrance to GNP for some solitude. The views at the pass looked insane!!
It was a great sneaky little area away from the Two Med and Many Glacier areas 👍🏼! I think we saw like two people all day and it was in August!
@@TheMountainMatt That's incredible!! Definitely adding it to our list. We're looking forward to checking out more of your videos! Thanks for sharing!

What did your son catch? Maybe a little cut-throat trout?
I can't remember exactly but he was nailing them at all the lakes👍🏼
Probably Rainbows, that's all we caught the two times we fished there @@TheMountainMatt

I know right! It’s ridiculous! Not sure how they’re going to enforce that. From what I researched it’s geared towards multi people productions.
