Hang out with me while I attempt a sunrise shoot with my s14 & talk you through the build process... Socials ------------ / denversilvias / denversilvias
When will people understand that Origin Labo is a throw away drift brand, they compromise their parts quality and fitment for a super low price so you don't need to worry about destroying them while drifting and then just buy a new cheap one. The Car Modify Wonder kit for my JZX for example came already ready to paint, perfectly fitted and super flexible.
Ex panel beater here of quite a few years. Can agree with the other shops. Anything fibre glass was steered well clear of. Still won’t let fibreglass near any of my own Jdm cars. But if I were to I would have just used the full fibreglass guard and worked the top edge of it to create a nice gap between the guard and the bonnet. You should be proud of the work nonetheless 😊
aye i’ve got a stock hhr thinking about getting a cobalt ss bc im in the usa and parts are very cheap for these cars here. i just bought my first set of coil overs and a new intake it’s kinda giving me problems but bought a new mount should be here tomorrow. gonna slam it and enjoy a nice fun daily. also i got a nice big exhaust lol.
no cracks on my s15 that went molded widebody in 2008 rivets and panel bond. That's 16 years, it has cracks on the front guards from not trimming them enough for track days and I do agree about the body lines up front its a pain in the ass but my kit lined up pretty well. Wise square behrman gt
@@Denversilvias It was done by bell collision in Victoria. Since I was replacing a rear quarter and my paint wasn't in the best condition I decided to go wide body. They had never done a molded widebody but liked the car and decided to give it a go 😄 Probably a bad sign in hindsight! loll Inner guard was pumped and pulled as much as possible without cutting and fabricating .This meant 10.5J +15 with 285 35 rubbed :( The wise square 50mm frp rear guars were prop riveted on along with 3m panel bond. the front guards were massaged slightly into shape using a uv heatlamp. So they didn't have to deal with fiberglass work I'm not sure exactly at what stage if it was before or after high fill but the whole car was put into the paint booth to heat up and make anything that was going to shrink shrink. This was all done in 2007 and I entered into Autosalon Sydney in 2008 under the Melbs15 club. While its survived over the years it could use some work to sharpen up the body lines and has shrunk very slightly to my eye and I can see the pop rivets and transition from frp to metal. Friends dont notice it unless i point it out with a light! I think that's ok for a 6k glass out open door paint job after 17years
Out of all that I’m most impressed you made it through Sydney in that without being defected. Above all else you should be proud of that! Haha
