This is by far the best video I have watched for this purpose. Clear, sequential and very informative. Thank you! I look forward to watching other videos on maintaining this lovely machine so that like my Volvo I have it running smoothly for many years!
I live in Florida USA, not in Australia, and yet... you have helped me SO much I cannot stress enough how wonderful you have been. I hope you can feel the Love all the way from here. Your tips are outstanding and your demeanor is pleasant and always fun to watch. The fact that you are so darn genuine exudes right off the screen. I can’t wait to keep up with your videos. I only wish I was closer to visit your shop and support your business. While I cannot do that, I will support your RUclips channel and recommend it to anyone on the Embroidery journey. I just started in Sep 2020 and currently have a PR1055X and a VE2300 that was just upgraded from an NQ1600E.
Thanks, I really appreciate your kind words and am glad it is helping. I really enjoy making the videos and it must show! Keep on enjoying your embroidery it is loads of fun.
Very informative video with great tips. I give my machines a good clean regularly but do you have a different list for keeping overlockers in pristine condition?
Hi good to hear you on radionz this morning. Have a question on an old Bernina 830. Perfect except the knob control which is moving across from seeing straight to darn. It's a darn nuecence alright. Stops the sewing straight. Any ideas how I might get into it to sort it out. Please?
Hi Mary, it’s unusual for timing to be out at all let alone 3 times a year. What is actually happening? Maybe you can email details to me at gary@echidnasewing.com.au
@@EchidnaClub i will ask my dealer when i pick it up. I do use this machine for embroidery only. It is sitting on a very sturdy surface. It is five years old. A message came on the screen with an oil container and said call for service so i turned it off and called snd took it in. Dealer said timing off again. I change needles frequently . Use floriani thread only. Clean bobbin area with a special sweeper attachment for machines. I do not know why i have to take it in so often. Trying hard to take care of my dream machine.
@Echidna Sewing is Ayr and a half old.. haver had it serviced yet? Yes I changed the needle.. ordered new bobbins, so will ty them...I had a jam before.
@ruthprice410 We do recommend servicing your machine every 12 to 18 months. If you have had a jam sometimes the timing can be put out which is fixed within a service.

Hi, sounds like you may have something seized internally. I would recommend taking it into a sewing machine tech if you can. OR contact us directly.
Thanks Gary !
You are very welcome! :)
I put the plate screws in two different bobbins while I clean so I know where they are!
@Reb Wolfe That is a great tip!
Gary thanks for your great video. Can i ask where can I purchase some of the product on your video please? Thanks
Hi A K. the proucts are available from our website www.echidnasewing.com.au/

Hi A.K. are you referring to the Thor power protector?www.echidnasewing.com.au/thor-smart-traveller-surge-protector-with-figure-8
Thank you Gery ..:)
Early in the video, I notice you didn't remove the needle...probably a good idea to do it first :)
I did!
Thanks
You are welcome!
What is making my dream machine timing getting off at least 3 times a year. Disappointed in having to take my dream machine in so often for this.

My XE1 needle won't pick up the bobbin ?
@ruthprice410 Just a few questions for you - What are you embroidering? How long since you have had the machine serviced? Have you changed needles?
@Echidna Sewing is Ayr and a half old.. haver had it serviced yet? Yes I changed the needle.. ordered new bobbins, so will ty them...I had a jam before.
I only do occasional embroidery..
