- Half-Life: Blue Shift is an expansion pack for Valve Software's science fiction first-person shooter video game Half-Life. The game was developed by Gearbox Software with Valve Corporation and published by Sierra On-Line on June 12, 2001. As with Gearbox's previous expansion pack Opposing Force, Blue Shift returns to the setting and events of the original game, but portrays the story through the eyes of another person. The protagonist in Blue Shift is a security guard, Barney Calhoun, employed by the Black Mesa Research Facility. After a scientific mishap causes Black Mesa to be invaded by aliens, Calhoun must fight his way to safety.

"Now I wonder if those boys could've made a bigger mess."
Now this is one of the best fan trailers ive seen
My favorite Half-Life expansion! Thanks for making this : )
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Swapping characters, really good man!
Unpopular opinion: Blue Shift is the most fun half-life game. I think I mostly think that because its weaponry is more grounded and I'm a dumb Doom fan, but I felt a lot more accomplished coming out of fights in Blue Shift than in the original or Opfor.
Agreed.
Thank god! an underrated channel, yes who seems like someone who i can follow.
Really good great job loved that transition in the beginning
Better than the official trailer.
Great job!
Awesome!
I love this trailer!
Thanks!
Now make a trailer for the black mess remake of blue shift!
waiiit, you're not using the hd pack that came with blue shift? What a shame, the hd pack is like half the fun considering how short the gameplay time is :-P
Sorry, I just prefer the original models and I wanted to keep it congruent with my trailers for HL1 and Opposing Force.
@@TheoreticalRain Don't worry, you don't have to justify what happened years ago. Though I'd disagree that the "original models" are the "original models" of Blue Shift, they certainly represent well what the classic half life experience is and it's why I don't actually disagree with your choice, but Blue Shift was originally advertised as bonus content to a next gen upgrade for a dreamcast release (that obviously never happened, though still waiting who knows). I'd argue that blue shift is there to look pretty, it's not a super fun game nor is it any innovative, so the hd pack is ultimately what the blue shift experience is about. Which is why I disagree about calling them "original models"; the original models of blue shift are the dreamcast hd pack, it's how the game was meant to be experienced.
Not bad.
