I haul to/from a salvage yard and we were waiting for this but didn't see an uptick when we expected. Until today! Twice a week I run a 50 mile stretch of road 3-4 times back and forth. Today I saw 4 state dicks, 4 DOT and 2 county mounties. I took the back roads after my first run.

    I drive a 26 ft box truck
On my first day i busted one of my hydraulic lines for the lift gate and had to wait a few hours for it to be repaired
Once it was fixed.. I delivered the load.. And probably 20-30 minutes later i am on the highway
I was in the right lane and this cop was in the middle lane .. As he was passing me up he slows down hits his blue/Red lights and pulls me over
He was like this is a random DOT stop
Like mate.. He checked literally everything in my truck..
Plus side is we knew everything was good.. But yea.. That was one hell of an experience

When you get pulled over, or pulled in, stomp on your brakes 3-5 times quickly.
Doing this automatically adjusts your slack adjusters so they will be the correct length for operation. If you do not do this and your brakes are out, they will be out when they are inspected.

Excellent video Brian. We had a lot of violations with some of our drivers. Something as simple as not putting your trailer in your eld or not putting in Shipping documents. We use KeepTruckin' ELDs and it blows my mind that some people have such little knowledge of how to do their logs.

    • @isaacoakes3378
