I loved this from Peter Hollens and The Bass Gang. They always make it fun, each one of them, but when they collaborate, it is extra fun. Marwan and Tomi always bring the talent.
You're so right. Marwan deserves the label of "prodigy." I normally don't like to use that term, I know people who had their childhoods ruined by adults treating them like holy "child prodigies," so I feel it is a title that should be reserved only for rare talent. Marwan has a rare talent. MANY talents, let's be real, but his sense of musical arrangement and visual composition is like no other artist out there. Plus he seems like such a cool dude. It's an honor to have been able to follow his musical growth over the last few years. I'm really proud of all he has accomplished, and excited by all he will produce in the years to come.
Peter Hollens was my introduction to modern a cappella singers. I have a thing for Tomi P’s 6 octave range & vocal control (on display in his solo “Hellfire”). I followed Tomi to Bass Gang & fell in love with Marwan. Marwan is just a baby - imagine how his talent will grow. Thank you for this double dose of heaven.
Both of these covers are amazing😍 I just love them both so much. Marwan absolutely knocked it out of the park with All Time Low, the arrangement is so sick and Tomi did an exceptional job in that as well!! Ghost Busters is just such a fun cover and it's so cool that they got to collab with Peter Hollens!! Thanks for the amazing reaction as always❤
Love the Ghostbusters cover. They look like they were having so much fun. I don't think I've seen Peter smile so much. And I could listen to Bobby's intro for hours.
Synchronized harmonies in arpeggios: Elizabeth of The Charismatic Voice made almost the identical comment about precision in the original audio in her R&A of VoicePlay's "Oogie Boogie's Song". She's had experience having to align voices. Peter's expressiveness: Gotta be experience from opera. That's not just singing, after all. Did you notice the ghosts rocking out to the gang? So much fun! And just so you know I watched to the end, the last supporter you listed has a name written in Cyrillic (or something like it). 😇
I'd never heard "All Time Low" before your reaction, but I've been listening to it on repeat for the past three days, all thanks to this video. So thank you!
Beautiful acapellas, love this!! After hearing the Ghostbuster half, i was reminded about Hillywood. I don't think I've seen if Mortius has checked out the sisters but think he could enjoy their parodies they have done!! Love their Supernatual ones, Ghostbusters and Shake it Off!!
I just thought of a counterexample to the *reprises always hurt* theory: "16 Going on 17" from The Sound of Music. So far that's the only one I've got 😂
20:15 Actually Mortius, that is actually replicating the melody of the original bass line of the chorus To understand what i'm talking about, i would recommend that you watch Shauntrack's (he's a Spaniard (so expect him speaking Spanish) Musician/Singer/Producer which has deconstructed/analyzed so many songs) Deconstruction of the Ghostbusters Theme Song
Not sure how many Peter Hollens covers you've checked out on your own, but I'd love to see more on your channel! Peter Hollens was huge several years ago but I feel like nowadays he kinda goes unnoticed.
congratulations for the video. I know it's not a halloween song but you should react to Colm Mcguinness "the Davy Jones song". I don't know why few creators made the video but it's a song where it's impossible to remain impassive
practice makes progress is a good one, as a gymnast I would hear practice makes permanent. As a gymnast yes the goal is to do each skill perfectly so you'd think people would say practice makes perfect, but my coaches and me as a coach now emphasize that practicing something badly will result in you doing it badly at competitions, like purpose, effort, and actually trying are very important. Like I once had a teammate who wouldnt fight for his landings at practice and just like, roll out of them, and then that muscle memory made him roll out of a landing at a competition instead of sticking it (which he very much would've based on how he landed). It's interesting to think about how different versions of that phrase come about for different things

Marwan's videos as "visual sheet music"… That really hit me; what an amazing observation!
Mortius vibing and dancing so much, he didn´t notice right after the Ghost Buster sign Peter the one carrying the low notes instead of Tomi or Marwan.

Then you should watch Bass Gang and Manav Dharma's version of Zero to Hero. They had even more fun on that one.
@@Finderup16 Oh, yeah, that's a great one. And Friend Like Me is also fun.
@12:35 Your right that the glottal stoped arpeggio here is amazing.
Omg i didn't see this the first time, marwan has a bass clef painted on the side of his head for a ear! 😂
All of the love for these artists. So very, very glad that you got to check these out!

I love finding new artists. Thank you for keeping acapella on your channel 💜
If Marwan sees this comment here, just to say one thing: I warned you, Marwan, that Mortius would get blown away.
