My pleasure. 😊 Enjoy the pattern! 💕
Many kisses from Poland/ Warsaw. Thank You for the pattern
You're welcome 😊
I recently moved from Ontario to Newfoundland this summer and I knew they get cooler weather here but dang evenings get pretty chilly ... this would be perfect especially in the evenings when you are near the ocean
It really would ! I hope you'll make one for yourself!
And my project list just keeps growing! Another beautiful pattern, and as usual, I love the inspiration for it.
Yay, thank you!
Hello this is Reks Taylor I to am from North Carolina. New Bern, N. C. I am subscribed to your channel and I enjoy your crochet along videos. And I am mesmerized by your yarn. Keep the videos coming and bless you

I love Gdańsk! You have a wonderful sensitivity so close to me, I am always moved by your films. Not to mention what beautiful projects you are creating, you are gorgeous, greetings from Poland! :)
Thank you very much! I'm so glad you enjoy our tutorials and patterns. 💕
This is the absolute perfect crochet blanket. I've been dying to make another blanket lately. This will be perfect to make.
Thank you. That makes me very happy. ❤️
I am making the small version as gift for girlfriend. Instead of all the transitions, making it in solid bubble gum pink merino, her favourite colour. So relaxing and fun, think I need to make the large in blues (I may go for more teal shades) for myself! 😁thanks Chandi 🫶🏻
That sounds like a great idea! Enjoy making the blankets! 💙
I started the smaller version this morning and this is definitely my FAVORITE yarn I’ve worked with by far!
Yay, I'm so happy to hear that! Thank you. 💕
Nothing like a cozy handmade blanket of loovvveee!!!!!!
Yes, exactly. 💕
This makes me want to learn how to crochet. The yarn looks like it’s easy to work with.
It's a lovely, lovely yarn!
And I thought my order was complete. The colors are dreamy!!! Some patterns I had set aside until I found the right colors. Be A Mermaid and Forever Memories are perfect. They are my granddaughters favorite colors. This will make them so happy! Thank You so much for such beauty!
Wonderful! I'm glad to hear that. I hope your granddaughters will love them too. 💕
Currently in the section of B/C... my waves are off... but I do not care... still looks so amazing. I would love these yarns in brown or grey tones!! I love the yarn so much!
Hi Amy, thank you for your message. I think brown and sandy colors would be a great idea. We'll consider it for the next release of this base. 😊
Greetings from Poland ❤Beautiful pattern 😍I hav to try it.
Thank you! 😊 Enjoy 💕
Stunning!

Thanks for watching! I'm so happy you like what we do!
You have the most luscious yarn and patterns, my problem is that I can not afford your yarn. I bought a shawl from you a few years ago and my project (shawl) was beautiful. I gave it to my daughter. She got many compliments on it. You are a beautiful lady that creates beautiful wearables.
I'm happy to hear that about your daughter's shawl. I hope you'll be able to get more of our yarns soon. Enjoy the pattern. Have a lovely weekend! 💕
Such a wonderful pattern! I'd love to add this to my make list, alas there's no more room, so it's on my eventually make list! Love it and the colors! You keep inspiring me! Thank you so much! Have a beautiful day!
You're most welcome! Hope you get to make the blanket someday. 😊

Try this trick. Turn on closed captions, and click on the Settings (the gear icon). Choose Subtitles/CC and to the right of that there is a language option. Use that to select Auto-Translate, and then choose Spanish. RUclips will automatically translate the closed captions for you.
Hi, I'm from Poland 🙂 Beautiful pattern!
There's a typo in the video. We write GDAŃSK, with line above "N" not "A". That means that letter "N" is softened (similarly to ~ above "N" in Spanish). 😉
Thanks for the info! That one slipped through, but it's correct in all other places.
Yes, you're right 🙂 That's how we learn - by making mistakes 😉 And I know that Polish is quite difficult for foreigners.
Awesome thanks 👌💕
Welcome 😊
Very nice job 👍👏
Thank you very much. 😍
Great idea ❤️ I am from Poland 🤩
Awesome! Thank you!
This is so lovely I just had to buy the wool last night, in the pink shades, cannot wait to get it. Even though I know it takes a while to get to the Uk
Enjoy making the blanket Brenda. I'm sure it'll be stunning. 💕
Thanks. A very nice pattern. It reminds me of a screen print I did in college. Lovely yarn, really! While I am sure that normal fingers like mine can do this well, and I have seen some very good work by people with short-stubby fingers, you sure have the long, thin, piano-player fingers that do so well at crochet and knit. I especially laugh (joyfully) at the fast motion sections. It's like, Holy Hannah, I could never work that fast. Love the vids. Love the patterns. Love the yarns. Thanks a bunch. @>----/----/--------
Thank you! 💕 Glad you like all of our products. Have a nice weekend.
Здорово 👍 и все понятно!
Thanks!
I am making the Gdańsk all in one color and am loving the stitches and textures! I am wondering though if anyone else is having trouble with the even numbered row count. The wave repeat is 14 as the designer states but I found I had to add 3 to actually make it work out resulting in an odd number. Also, I wasn't sure if the turning ch1 always counted as stitch since it was only stated to be for the sand section but not the wave. Anywho, I was able to figure a way to make it work out and it is turning out beautifully even in a solid color.
Hi Mary,
I'm glad you were able to make it work for you. I'm not sure if anyone else had trouble with that specific thing but it might be worth checking our Ravelry group to see if anyone else mentioned anything or just check the project pages. Here is the link to our group: www.ravelry.com/groups/expression-fiber-arts?s=tab
I hope this is helpful! 💕
This is lovely - is there a knitting pattern version 🤞🤞🤞
No, we don't have a knitted version of this one, but you might like the Mysa wrap: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/mysa.html
It has a similar wave stitch.
Beautiful pattern, Chandi! Is that crochet hook an heirloom? Do you have a story for it? I haven't seen that color anodization on any of the Susan Bates hooks available in shops nowadays, but I have several older ones from the thrift store that color. I adore the finish on the older hooks, they feel at once smoother and sturdier.
Hi Christian, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I don't know if the crochet hook is an heirloom but I can tell you that Chandi prefers Susan Bates crochet hooks because of their short necks.
Glad you enjoy the pattern! 💕
Hi love, quick question, where did you get your markers from? They are really cute and I’m trying to get new ones because mine don’t stay
Hi Esmeralda, I don't know which ones you mean specifically but most of the stitch markers we use are from our shop. You can find the current selection here: www.expressionfiberarts.com/categories/accessories/stitch-markers.html
I hope this answered your question. Have a nice day! 💕
🥰👍❤️🤗
Thanks so much!
Hello - love the pattern. I am not advanced enough in crochet to change colors - would the pattern work with just one strand and one color throughout? If so, do I use the same hook size?
Changing colors isn't too complicated. You just use the new color to finish the last stitch of the row (usually pulling through the last 2 loops on your hook) and then continue your next row with the new color. Cut the old color and either work over the ends as you crochet the next row or use a tapestry (or yarn) needle to weave in the ends once you've finished your pattern. (The Crochet Crowd here on YT has wonderful tutorials for these techniques.)
However, to answer your question, it would be possible to use only one strand throughout. You would need to get a yarn that was thicker than what the pattern calls for (probably a worsted 4ply) so that you would get a similar gauge. Start a gauge swatch with the hook size recommended on the yarn to see if you get a similar gauge. If your swatch is too small, go to a larger hook. If your swatch is too big, go to a smaller hook. I would recommend using a variegated or self-striping yarn. This would give you a similar "color changing" effect while not having to actually manually switch colors. Good luck with your future endeavors! :D
Txs!
Hi Heidi, thank you for your question. Gwendy Rose is totally correct with her 2 suggestions. I hope it works out. Please, let us know if you have any additional questions. Have a wonderful weekend. 🥰
Thank you for your detailed replies! 💕
Beautiful! Being of Polish descent I have to make this! 😁
Awe, yay! I hope you enjoy making it! 💕
Do your have another video that shows how to marle the yarn?
Hi Lisa, we don't have one for crochet but we do have one that show how to do it in knitting and that is technically the same. You can find it here: ruclips.net/video/DHHw5C3gnag/видео.html
I hope this one helps. Please, let me know if you have any additional questions. 💕

Hehe, glad you like it. Enjoy every minute of it. Have a wonderful weekend. 💕
If I'm only using one color how many times would I repeat the 2nd section?
You can find all of that information in the pattern, which is still free to download at www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/gdansk.html
I have the pattern, I'm just confused on how many repeats to so since I'm only doing one color and not holding multiple stands of yarn
Trying to get free pattern but I can’t seem to get it
Hi Alison, please try to download it here: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/gdansk.html
Have a nice weekend! 💙
@@ExpressionFiberArts thank you that worked
😍🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Thanks!
The biggest problem I have is that there are no stockists of your beautiful yarns in the United kingdom. Its far too expensive to order from the USA. Are there any stockists in the UK that you could supply with your yarn range. Im sure there would be people in the UK that would want it. I love this pattern, so easy to do in the evening while watching TV.
Hi there, unfortunately we currently don't do wholesale at all. You can only purchase our yarn online from our site we don't sell to any yarn store not even in the US. I'm sorry about that. We do ship to the UK, however, if you decide to purchase from us
Have a wonderful weekend. 💜
I have wanted to make several of your patterns .However I find your site confusing and hard to navigate .I am only interested in crochet .It also seems to me that the free patterns are unavailable to download without purchasing the yarn .Also as in the case of this pattern ,I am unable to find the info on what colors were used to make either version or the amount of yarn that is needed.I have tried with not only this lovely pattern but a gorgeous shawl you had featured awhile back and a few other patterns .I dont understand how much yarn you would need to buy for each project if the info is not available when you cant view the pattern .If the pattern is free , why is it not available for download without purchasing yarn ? Which I wouldn't purchase without knowing the amount to buy .You have very lovely patterns and gorgeous yarn though
Hi Susan,
this pattern is available for free without purchasing yarn. All of our new patterns on Friday are. You can download this one at www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/gdansk.html
You can also find the link to the patterns in the description box below the video tutorials.
When you click on the pattern link you will be directed to our website and below the modeled pictures you will find the info on the yarn colors and the yardage needed.
Could you please specify what you mean by bbn or bbn yarn so I can help you with the rest of you question? Thanks!
Have a nice weekend. 💕
I found and looked at your website ,put in my name and e mail address and added it to my cart 3 times .However still cannot find where to complete transaction ,so I may download the pattern .bbn is a typo .I do not see well and make mistakes in typing.Thank you for responding.
@@susanmcknight6401 I'm sorry that you are still having trouble downloading the pattern. Please reach out to use here: www.expressionfiberarts.com/contact-us/ and we will be happy to help you. Thanks!
@@susanmcknight6401 Hello Susan,
If you are still having difficulty with downloading patterns:
Select as if you are purchasing
Go to cart & go all the way to the bottom of the screen (if on phone)
You can check out at this point, the website is 'smart,' so it will not ask for payment
You will receive email with link to click, this will take you to the website
Click on that link to open the PDF pattern, which you can then save or print for use.
Not necessarily intuitive, but be persistent and you will have success!
Now I just need to save up to get some of that awesome yarn!
Have a great day. 🐞
