Another great episode. I have spent the week teaching 40 + kids how to start a camp fire in my outdoor living class and we have gone through 4 boxes of matches going to have to try the pull start fire starter
The pull start fire is great but expensive at $5.99 each. I think I may keep one in my truck for emergencies when I need a fire quick and the wood is not full dry.

If you want to keep black flies away from you start eating big cloves of GARLIC and Onions!! Do this for one week before you enter the woods. I used to feed this to my horses in the grain and it would keep bees from stinging the horses too and the black flies stayed off the horses faces and they were much happier!

Good show guys. To bad the black flies are so nasty. That fire started worked great but I'm a tradtionalist. If you can't start it with 2 matches, you go to the flint and steel.😉 I taught fire starting in the Boy Scouts for 25 years. I have done a lot of experiments with fire starting technique. PS it's not a campfire unless you can see it from the moon.😂
