2016年、超絶テクニックを誇るギタリスト･だいじろー(ex.宇宙コンビニ)によって京都にて始動。だいじろー(Gt/Cho)、猫田ねたこ(Vo/Key)、シンディ(Ba)、はやしゆうき(Fl)から成るプログレッシブ・ロックバンド。
様々なジャンルを通過した音楽性に、テクニカルなトラック、温かみ、激情をふんだんに盛り込んだJYOCHOにしかできない独自の世界観を構築する。
2023年1月にはNetflixシリーズ「伊藤潤二『マニアック』」のEDテーマ「云う透り」を収録した『云う透り e.p』をリリース。
同年、米国レーベル・Topshelf Recordsから最新アルバム『しあわせになるから、なろうよ』のレコード・カセットの全世界リリースも決定している。

Kyoto, Japan-based progressive rock band JYOCHO (meaning “emotion,” “mood,” and “atmosphere” in Japanese) was formed in 2016 by guitarist Daijiro Nakagawa (formerly of Japanese math rock band Uchu Conbini) who's known for his highly sophisticated and technical and now the band consists of Daijiro Nakagawa(Gt/Cho), Nekota Netako (Vo/Key), sindee (Ba), and Yuuki Hayashi (Fl).
The band's music has passed through a variety of genres, and it builds a unique worldview that only JYOCHO can create, incorporating plenty of technical tracks, warmth, and intensity.
In January 2023, JYOCHO released "As the Gods Say e.p," which includes the ending theme song "As the Gods Say" for the Netflix series "Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre."
In the same year, the U.S. indie label Topshelf Records releases the band's latest album "Let's Promise to be Happy" in vinyl and cassette formats worldwide.
JYOCHO's unique yet beautiful sounds are well-received by music lovers all over the world.

I feel like all of jyochos music can be described like that. Like I don't understand the words but the the feeling the music gives off is the same as the meaning of the words that are being sung, idk if that makes sense but that's how it feels haha jyocho is really special

Hello. Finally got to watch this Junji Ito series on Netflix.......I love his work like Uzumaki, but so far the BEST two things I've seen are actually the intro and outro music! When I heard your song, I instantly went online to find out more! Your song reminds of how Yoko Kanno's music would possess me, and makes my soul wish I could transform into a Emolga Pokémon and fly away happily to your melody!!!
