In some countries with ear cleaning culture you'll find the service is provided in barber shops after a hair cut/shave or through dedicated salons and health spas

Ear cleaning is not a scam, ears have been claened this way in many countries for thousands of years, but there are some who will scam you by charging you 10x, 20x or as much as 100x more than the standard rate of 60-80 Rupees for the same procedure. I must advise that if you get your ears cleaned this way again, you must sit still and stay quiet, failure to do so could lead to injury, the ear cleaner needs his/her full concentration to carry out the delicate procedure & if you move while they are cleaning your ears the metal scrapers can damage the eardrum.

No your ear is very sensitive when foreign objects invades the ear due to the nerve receptors signals more pain most nerves around the body. The only way to tell if you have infection, if your ear already hurts prior to invading foreign products entering the ear, another way is entering a foreign object in the ear without contacting any surrounding walls of the ear canal. The hair itself will feel object coming through and if it Hurts then you most likely have an ear infection most likely a fungus in your ear

There are different types of earwax: hard/flaky and wet/sticky. If the guy is used to working with hard wax (which *is* more common in the East) he might be pressing too hard for your wax.
That close-up on the ear-juice damn I live in a nearby state, been there a couple times, and always walked past these guys. And i don't think they're being hygienic enough! Understand the tourist-spirit though! Stay safe and have fun!

There are many uneducated drivers on the road , who get their licence by bribes. So they are unaware of the road rules. Plus the population density is so high that the roads are jammed half the times. Hence to aware others , they honk. Cause people don’t check mirrors here😂

If it's painful they're causing damage to your ear drum. Ear cleaning is never supposed to be painful unless you have an infection.

Thats just wrong, your ear is very sensitive, sometimes more sensitive than yesterday so pain varies and depends on the person
