I think this is one of your best episodes yet. Love the change of pace with this slight change of production style, and the narrative really flowed all the way through and allowed you to empathise with Sally. Keep up the great work, looking forward to these other experimental episodes too!
Great variation on your visual style in this one. I loved the simulated look of it all being done as hand-drawn frames on paper, like an old Bill Plympton short. And the animation of the moment of Steinem pushing up her glasses while giggling at Sally's comment that she could probably qualify as an astronaut was super-cute. I didn't know that Sally had died in 2012 at age 61 of pancreatic cancer. That's a bummer. Very cool and pioneering lady. Wow, and never knew this bit that I just read on Wikipedia: _"Following the Challenger investigation, Ride was assigned to NASA headquarters in Washington, D.C., where she led NASA's first strategic planning effort. [...] After Sally Ride's death in 2012, General Donald Kutyna revealed that she had discreetly provided him with key information about O-rings (namely, that they become stiff at low temperatures) that eventually led to identification of the cause of the explosion."_
Tears, yes, I can feel them welling up not quite coming out. The awesomeness of what she and the other astronauts and the thousands of engineers and builders did and are doing.
Why did you change animators??? Patrick Smith defined this series and has created your brand since day one! I only come here to see his amazing work, which is at once emotionally evocative and transcendent.
+Tyrion Lannister Pat's not going anywhere. We'll be back with more of his masterpieces this spring. This is bonus content. A miniseries called "The Experimenters."
+Blank on Blank Thank you so much for replying. Being a massive fan of his art. I'm looking forward to more of Patrick's videos. Keep up the good work guys.
i have been a big fan of this channel for some time. i found it to be a very interesting coincidence that this was released sandwiched between a series on "the global lie - flat earth revelation"...in my own personal subscriptions.
Why? Who cares? Because a woman has to embody some sort of masculinity or rejection of traditional femininity to succeed? Would you speculate that Buzz Aldrin was in a love triangle with Armstrong and Collins? Jesus, chuck that in the bin along with the makeup and bra question. Next!
Holy hell...the animation in this one was breathtaking. Sally Ride is a personal hero of mine, so this was extra special. :)
Ya the animation is abnormaly well done relative to the other videos.

Thank you. It's been fun experimenting with different creative animators. More coming soon.
Asking her if she cried when there were malfunctions in the simulator. *shakes head*
Love the effort that was put into this video, great animation!
This channel is so great. I never knew about Mrs. Ride but this was a great introduction to her!

Are you sure?
so does she had a bra or not?
I am going to go out on a limb here and guess she was a lesbian?
Why? Who cares? Because a woman has to embody some sort of masculinity or rejection of traditional femininity to succeed? Would you speculate that Buzz Aldrin was in a love triangle with Armstrong and Collins?

@@imaginingdefeat Would you speculate that Buzz Aldrin was in a love triangle with Armstrong and Collins?
