Hello gentlemen, I'm new to the world of DE razors (2 months). I keep a full beard but shave my head every 2-3 days i've been using Viking Blade Chieftain and Emperor Adjustable. The only blades I've used are the Viking blade mild (green) and aggressive (red). I really like the aggressive in the adjustable (2-3 pass shaves lowering setting each pass) but find it to much for the chieftain which is advertised as a neutral aggressive razor. The mild is fine but I find I can overwhelm it if I wait to long between shaves. There are so many razors to pick from out there. I've seen the sample packs but was hoping to get some recommendations from the group given the information above. Thank you for any help or suggestions you could offer.P.S. if your wondering I've always liked shaving creams and brushes since I started shaving. I mostly use Proraso red or green creams from the toothpaste tube looking container and Williams shave soap puck when in a pinch.
Sorry about that, i'm looking for recommendations for something that's intermediate. Something between those two Viking blade razors. I know the razor vs blade vs skin/hair types makes for a huge range of options. I wanna try to hone in what works with the razors i have before expanding into a collection of them.... Thank you Mark for really engaging with your subcribers

Nice shave, Mark. I'm looking forward to trying Cella out. I've read about people having problems with Cella going bad on shave forums. Have you had any problems with Cella? Some guys even say that they keep it in the refrigerator. I just thought that it sounded odd.
Thanks, ThaRedPitbull-Mix! I've gone thorugh most of my original container of Cella. it was fine. I recently added to it from a huge block of Cella I bouight several months ago. I keep this huge block in the refrigerator.:) Seems to be keeping fine.:) It doesn't smell "off" or stale.
about it going bad. It has natural nut oils like almond, that go rancid if too warm for too long. Which is likely why people often keep the giant block in the fridge or freezer. Other softer tallow based have the potential to go rancid, but nut oils tend to go faster.
@@joegarcia54 Yes, Cella Red is easy to describe....almond and cherry. Cella Aloe Vera is a bit more difficult for me to try and associate an item (like almond, etc.). I'll have to give it some more thought. My apologies for coming up short.
Most wanted, I actually dislike the feel of a beard. Years ago, I tried to grow a beard and it was a disaster. It came in quite uneven and straggly and it itched like heck! @Thomas Jefferson I've seen some beards that look terrible! Long, straggly, uneven, etc. It's as if the guys let them grow and do zero maintenance. Never understood this. No one seems to have described the scent on this product. Maybe I missed it.
Hi, joegarcia54. The ingredients are: Aqua (Water), Potassium Stearate, Potassium Palmitate, Potassium Cocoate, Glycerin, Sodium Stearate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sodium Palmitate, Sodium Cocoate, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Potassium Myristate, Cetyl Palmitate, Parfum (Fragrance), Potassium Laurate, Sodium Myristate, Sodium Silicate, Sodium Thiosulfate, Benzyl Benzoate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Linalool
And as their description states, it has a "...natural delicate fragrance." I'd also add fresh and subtle.
