The deep web refers to any website that can't be accessed by a search engine--it requires additional authentication. The Onion Router (Tor) is a group of servers (proxies/nodes) which obscures your connection giving you a degree of anonymity. Tor is used to bypass censorship and improve privacy & security. The dark web requires a user to be connected to Tor. Dark web websites use the Top Level Domain (TLD) of .onion.
